Can I give a zero? I usually give 5 star review, but I've never encountered a company that needed a 0 star review. TERRIBLE customer service. The irony of the website saying please call us instead of chatting, because chat times are longer, but there is no actual phone number anywhere on the site. TERRIBLE photos. In this day and age of digital photography, my kid can take a better photo than the photographer. It doesn't even seem like they care if you buy photos or not. Don't waste your time with customer service. You can take better photos of your kid on your iphone and then develop them at Walgreens. Do not waste your money. That's what happens when greedy Shutterfly buys out everyone.

The care of the photographers has declined for the past years. I work at the school and I witness first hand how they work. The poses and facial expressions do not suit the students at all and they do not take their time to redo them. They rush to get all pictures done. That's all!
I'm personally very disappointed of their professionalism. I'm looking forward for things to change or another company to take over.

Not with the website. I was looking forward to have my son get some school photos as the picture day fell on his 2nd birthday. They did a horrible job with first having him sit for the photos or remain standing. It’s a shame because you are suppose to be toddler /kid friendly. You are not. No one worked with him and is very frustrating. I paid for an extra day for him to be there. I hope you will not come back to his daycare or future school for any photos. You highly disappointed us and caused me to loose out on money

Very disappointed in the outcome of the Fall photo and the Spring photo, which captured the same fake smile or more like a scared expression. You would think a professional photographer would know how to snap a picture of a real smile. They did not respond to my complaint, nor do they offer any retakes for dissatisfied customers. Looks like I'll be taking my child some place else to get an acceptable picture taken.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Lifetouch, twice.
Today was our scheduled school photo day, and just minutes before opening, we received an email that the photographer had called out sick and the entire session was cancelled. This exact same situation happened during our last scheduled picture day as well.
This level of unreliability is unacceptable, especially for schools and families who plan ahead. Parents took the time to dress their children, adjust schedules, and come in expecting a special event only to be turned away at the last minute. It creates unnecessary frustration and inconvenience for everyone involved.
What’s even more concerning is the apparent lack of accountability or urgency from Lifetouch management. There seems to be no contingency plan in place, no backup photographers, and no real effort to prevent repeat disruptions.
Due to repeated cancellations and poor service, we have made the decision to permanently discontinue our relationship with Lifetouch. We cannot recommend them to other schools or organizations that value reliability and professionalism.

No choice in using Lifetouch
No choice in using Lifetouch, many if not most schools use them. Always terrible photos, crooked clothes, awkward smiles and I always have to ask for the class photo which is never available until the middle/end of the school year. It’s not like a separate group photo, just a mashup of the individual pics of all the students and teachers. I like to have it to know who all my child’s classmates are and it would be nice to have it at the beginning of the year right after picture day. This year apparently, Lifetouch doesn’t offer the class photo. I could go anywhere else to have my child’s photo taken and I think I will since the class photo is no longer available.
Unprofessional and Lazy
The company could not even remove the teacher from the photo which I could do myself with Photoshop. When requested re prints they sent new photos with the teachers hands still in the photo. Our son has special needs. But as a professional company you should know how to remove unwanted aspects of an image. There is apps now that could do a better job than this. I will never purchase photos with this company again. So lazy workmanship.

No customer support and endless email spam using child's name.
My child's school started using LifeTouch/Shutterfly for school photo fullfilment. The first year we had to use them, the printed photos were sent. When we looked, they were poorly cut so I couldn't fully see the grade and year that I paid extra to be on the photos. I reached out to their support multiple times, including pics of the ill-cropped photos. No response.
Instead of a response, I got hounded with sales emails multiple times per week using my child's name in their marketing speak. It feels very cringey for them to use my child's name in their marketing spam.

Can not get my grandson’s pictures you pay for them and then they come in they want you to pay again, Last year i never received any pictures at all so they got me for 40.00. Trying to do the same again you call we will send them to you , the woman on the other ends doesn’t even ask who she is talking with but she us going to send out pictures, There are ripping people off, my child will not take anymore pictures thru them. This company is just terrible. I don't think I've ever had a year where they didn't screw up my order. Their website is the most confusing piece of garbage imaginable. I don't understand why they have such a stronghold on school pictures.

They made mistake on our order, few months after we still waiting for half of the photos. They did not even cut the ones that we received. I emailed them many times they never emailed me back,called them ,hard to get him contact with them, bad customer service, expensive for what you're getting. Don't use them.

Absolutely HORRIBLE company
Absolutely HORRIBLE company with the worst customer experience. They lost all of my daughters preschool photos and are unable to redo any of her photos or provide any sort of compensation. How do you lose photos for a preschooler? They were never even uploaded once to the website and every time I call they hang up and refuse to provide an answer. I have sent multiple emails too just kindly asking for any sort of update and over a month has passed and now the portal has expired. They need to be shut down completely.

I'm giving you a two star because I really do like my pictures. However, my experience with your online customer support and your phoneline support is absolutely atrocious. I feel like I have been swindled, as I have payed for services that have not been rendered. For 3 weeks now, and an unknown amount of phone calls, and "chats" it seems to be an impossible task to simply update an email address for a purchase that was made while logged in my account with the correct email address, so I can receive my digital copies.
