Cheap company. Could not even put another cardboard protection on top of the children photos to prevent bends and creases to the photos. Garbage company.
It was very disappointing after purchasing yearbook pictures for my son for the last 11 years through Lifetouch that in order to purchase just a 8x10 yearbook picture for his Senior Year is $55 and $9... Näytä lisää

You need to take more time with taking pictures for 1 st graders. My granddaughters pics were Not up to par like they should of been. No one fixed her hair no one fixed her necklace and you take pics to close up. Very disappointed. Just look at your reviews. I could if taken a better pic with my phone.
Horrible Photography Company
Horrible company. Why schools use Lifetouch is beyond me! If they "lose" photos that are being shipped to your home address think about what else they lose...your personal information to cyber thieves, credit card numbers, etc. I've been on hold for 30 minutes and still waiting for the phone to be answered, after wasting 45 minutes on a chat with someone in a foreign country who doesn't speak English well enough to get the information across and I finally gave up, all while writing this review. All of you at this company who condone this type of customer service are no better than the unwarranted telemarketer. Shame on you.
ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE
I had picture day at school and it was a new photo taking company and it was absolutely so bad like I’m not even saying that because people usually find themselves looking bad I Lena it was so bad as soon as I sat down and smiles for like .5 seconds this guy took the picture and my smile came out so crooked and not only that I ordered to get a retouch so I looked smoother and so my acne doesn’t show up as bad and they did not even include it in with my picture there’s nothing that was done to it I’m absolutely so disappointed and they need to get a new Bobbie because taking pictures is not a good one for them to be doing please do not waste your money on this company it’s not worth it I promise
I would give NO stars if I could
I would give NO stars if I could. This place has the WORST customer service. I've used their chat and called with questions/issues. I've talked to other families who have had to call with our school and their experience has been mostly the same. Not sure why we contionue to use them.
If you love being on hold for 2 hrs or more this place is FOR you! If not, like most people then hopefully your school won't hire them/you won't have anything you need to inquire about. Chat wasn't much better, after 30 minutes of back and forth and repeating myself on info that I had already given, they told me to give them a call so they could better help me, or to place my order and if it isn't right they can redo it. Seriously, why wouldn't you want to do the order correctly in the first place. Reason: if they have to redo then you have to call/chat and the cycle continues. Eventually you GIVE UP...your time is worth more!
Also, while I was typing, they discontinued the chat and so what I had typed didn't even get posted to the chat. JOKE!!!
Lifetouch Sucks
It takes effort to suck as much as Lifetouch
I applied to underclassmen and pre-k photographer positions at Lifetouch and the management and communication skills of those in the hiring process are a complete joke. Additionally an internet search of Lifetouch will reveal abysmal reviews from very unsatisfied parents and teachers, pointing out poor workmanship, a lack of customer service, failure to deliver purchased products on time, failure to perform premium touch ups at a surcharge and all around unprofessional conduct.
The Google review rating for my local Lifetouch studio is 2.7 out of 5, based on 36 reviews. On TrustPilot, they are rated 1.2 after 110 reviews, with 95% being 1 star ratings. On Yelp, Lifetouch National Studios has 1.0 stars out of 5 with over 1,200 reviews. A separate Yelp page for my local Lifetouch is also 1.0 star. A Yelp page for a nearby community's Lifetouch is 1.1 stars.
After applying to two different photographer positions (one for underclassmen and one for pre-k) via Indeed in early August 2025, I attended an online group meeting on August 13, 2025, that explained job basics of the underclassmen position and filled out another form to be contacted if I was still interested in the job. The meeting was scheduled for 45 minutes, but lasted about 10 minutes and was a simple power point presentation of information already disclosed via the Indeed posting.
On Friday, August 15, at 12:20 PM, photo manager Andre Arnold sent out a email to over 70 people stating "I know this is last minute but join me Saturday morning, Andre Arnold, for your final Lifetouch interview." The email also referenced looking to hire people "today" despite the email also spelling out that such an offer would impossible until after after the next day's interviews at the earliest. The online group interview was set for 9:00 AM the next day. Andre, nor anyone from Lifetouch, ever showed up to that interview.
I emailed Andre and two other Lifetouch contacts, Megan Buckmaster-Lapeer and Taniah Clyburn, about 20 minutes after the interview should have started asking for more information on interviewer no-show. At least one other interviewee in the group said they emailed Andre as well. I was the second to last person to exit the virtual interview around 9:30 AM. No one from Lifetouch responded to my email.
On Monday, August 18, around 10:00 AM, I emailed Andre, Megan, and Taniah again asking if interviews would be rescheduled. No one replied.
On August 19, Andre finally made his first communication since scheduling the failed interview, claiming technical issues and announcing a second attempt at online group interviews the following day. The text of the email was virtually an exact copy and paste from his previous email with minor edits. It again referenced looking to hire people "today," before conducting the interviews tomorrow. The email was also sent out separate three times in less than an hour.
At 11:08 AM on August 20, less than four hours before the interview, Andre emailed over 80 interviewees informing them that he was moving the interview time from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. I did not attend this interview.
The following day, August 21, Andre emailed a group of over 90 people "in hopes of getting some of [us] in in [their] training class next week," since no one is showing up to last minute interviews with poorly reviewed companies.
Around 10:30 AM on August 23, I was contacted by Taniah by text and email inquiring about my availability to interview for a pre-k photographer position. I responded with my availability about an hour later to her text. Taniah did not respond.
On August 29 at 10:20 AM, Andre emailed the following to around a dozen people: "I would like to talk to you today, at 2pm - 3pm, to answer additional questions and if it is a fit, make some offers to join us for our next training class next Wednesday and Friday, Sept 3 - 5. Again, TOMORROW MORNING at 9am...I know it is short notice, but I really want to get some of you in our next training class. We still need great people to join our team." The email was accompanied by an invite to a virtual meeting the same day at 2:00 PM. The addition of 9:00 AM tomorrow was not addressed with any other information and appeared to be due to the lack of editing a copy and paste email. Andre sent out another email at 2:00 asking people to join the interview at 2:00 PM. This was not a reminder notification; it was a separate new email asking people to show up on the spot.
On September 2 at 8:18 AM and 8:19 AM, Andre emailed inviting 15 people to an online interview at 2:00 PM that afternoon. On September 3, Andre sent out one email at 7:55 AM, and two at 8:00 AM for interviews that day at noon.
My dog could take better pictures than these guys.
EVERY single school year these guys mess up my kids photos. Either they have her looking at a weird angle or they snap the photo right before or after she smiles so her mouth is at an odd position. This year they finally got a good picture of her face BUT ONE SLEEVE ON HER DRESS IS FLIPPED INSIDE OUT. Like really??? You couldn’t just take two seconds to tell her to fix her sleeve??? She has Autism so she just doesn’t notice that stuff. Would have been an easy fix and then I could finally have bought some of her school pictures. But nope, all of their photographers are lazy and unprofessional. So once again I’ll be taking my own pictures and you lose out on the hundreds of dollars I would have spent getting pictures to send to my family. You’re a joke of a company. I hope another studio takes your place doing school photos soon so parents can give their money to someone who actually gives a damn about taking a half decent photo which is your only job.
Absolutely horrible experiences every year.
Absolutely horrible experiences every year. I honestly have no idea why the school keeps using them. I have been on hold for over 1 hour now and the 'chat' is saying reconnecting. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone. Every year I order the digit print and never receive it. I have to reach out to get them to resend because the link never makes its way to my email. I dread every year trying to order my kids school pictures. It shouldn't be this difficult, and I shouldn't have to pay $30 for 1 8x10 picture. Fed up and disgusted with this company.
Photography? I don’t think so.
These can’t be real photographers. They don’t know basic poses and head placement. A child could do better. They made my child so dark, you couldn’t see her facial features. They don’t know how to take photos of black people. We need lighting not shadows. Why do schools keep using them?
A strong track record of avoidance of accountability
I recently participated in a scheduled online group interview for a photographer position at Lifetouch Photography. Despite many members of the group logging in early or on time, we were left waiting for the interviewer well past the start time. Eventually, I began being repeatedly removed from the call without explanation. Assuming it was a connection issue I rejoined the call and was booted again. After three attempts, the interviewer finally appeared only to inform us that all positions had been filled and the meeting was canceled. No advance notice or apology was offered. This level of miscommunication and avoidance of accountability is deeply unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates.

Based on my firsthand experience, mirrored by the company’s volume of complaints and low customer-satisfaction scores, I strongly advise against pursuing employment or services with Lifetouch Photography. Their disregard for candidates’ time and lack of basic communication suggest broader organizational dysfunction.
I only put 1 star because zero isn't an…
I only put 1 star because zero isn't an option. This is my etchings time dealing with Lifetouch Prestige Photography division for senior pictures. I don't recall this level of difficulty previously, but this time has been a disaster. The company provided only one day to do photos for which my student was to be out of town. I tired contacting the company for 2 days about this issue. The only thing I achieved was hours listening to on hold music and occasionally being disconnected after a long wait. I received a postcard with an additional date with only one appointment time. While challenging to make it work, I was prepared to do it. While booking the appointment, I was backed out of the information confirmation before the booking was final. After that, no appointment was available at all. This company appears to avoid direct contact with customers who, with no other options, have to pay large dollar amounts to get photos of their child's life achievements. Days and hours into this effort have gotten me nowhere. I requested to speak with management and was, as usual, put on hold. If you are an individual or school organization considering doing business with Lifetouch, be prepared and prepare the parents in your district to be wasting a lot of time and being frustrated long before any progress is made with any issue along the way. Constructive input for lifeline is this: understand your customers have responsibilities and busy lives. Hire more staff to be able to address problems, issues and concerns so your customers can earn the money it will take to purchase your products. I have found Lifetouch to be out of touch with providing reasonable customer service.
My daughter's class picture on…
My daughter's class picture on graduation day it has dark makeup on she never wears make up. She wore very little for graduation now you edited it on horribly bad. I personally know why I never buy pictures from school. They are really bad. Another girls fingers are cut way to short same girl has one dark eye brow one her regular.... Another guy has a chin added to him like really long chin.
So many things how did these make it out. Even if they are now reprinted and sent out, this was last day of school last day of grade 12. These students will always remember these butched pictures.
If there were an option for -10 stars…
If there were an option for -10 stars that’s what they would get from me! I ordered my child’s photos online using the paper was that provided from her daycare. I ordered the most expensive package.. firt the photos got lost during shipping. When I called the company I also found out that their website has glitched and somehow I had actually ordered another
Child’s photos even tho during the order process I had picked my child’s photos for the custom extras… weird .. so they refunded and I placed another order ( same package) and again picked my child’s photos for the extras. It was supposed to be a rushed order because of the mixup with the first order. Now 3 weeks later, I still haven’t received my photos and they are again lost
In shipping. Called Monday spoke with a supervisor and they again placed my order for overnight shipping.. guess what still no freaking order! Over a month now and almost 200$ wasted on photos that I still haven’t received. ( I ordered 2 diff packages because 8 photos were taken of my child and originally only 4 of them showed on the website until After I ordered the original package )
Lifetouch recently visited our school…
Lifetouch recently visited our school to take class photos, and unfortunately, the results were extremely disappointing across the board. In almost every photo, there are students with their eyes closed or poorly positioned. With digital photography, you would expect the photographer to review the shots and ensure at least one good take per class. It’s understandable if one class had an off photo, but this was consistent across all classes. It’s really unfortunate given how important these keepsakes are and how much money they cost.
Only rating 1 star because I can't rate…
Only rating 1 star because I can't rate zero stars! Lifetouch is garbage! I have never paid extra for any of the bullshit they offer and never had an issue until this year. Their ringlights showed up in my daughters glasses. Which by the way I paid extra money for the antiglare on the actual glasses. Ordered pictures in this very manor before and never had an issue then this year bam! Giant ring lights. So lt me ask you, I am paying decent money for these pictures why do I have to pay extra for you to remove your equipment from my daughters pictures!? Not to mention you offer a digital copy of said pictures, to which you used to email the parent the digital copy. Now you submit it to shutterfly. So now we are not only paying you as a company for poorly taken overpriced pictures but also paying for the digital copy that I dont even own! Now I have to go to another website and pay even more money to make copies of the pictures I ALREADY BOUGHT THE RIGHTS TO BY PAYING FOR THE DIGITAL IMAGE! I will NEVER AGAIN pay for pictures from this shitty company!
Have tried multiple times to order kids…
Have tried multiple times to order kids pictures, after submitting my payment I don’t get confirmation. It doesn’t go through. I get kicked out of their website on two occasions. It automatically bumped me to Facebook the last time just now it bumped me to Amazon. Called the help center first lady put all my information in and said she will transfer to the appropriate person get to that person had to give them my information all over again and was given what seemed to be a run around. Still unable to order the photos. From here on out anytime it is a scheduled picture day these kids will not go to school that day instead, they will go to a professional photographer. Your company sucks! Reference number 13536336.
Disgraceful Company
8 years of sports photos from this company and I have yet to get a decent photo. Blurry photos…yep! Misspelled name…yep. When I called to get the last name corrected they said they couldn’t read my writing. My response was ..I ordered online…it was typed…and I’m looking at the order with our name spelled correctly. Horrible poses for football pics. Trash cans in the background. My son’s track photo looked like an anime character with a solid black blob of “hair” on his head and black eyes. He’s a blue eyed brunette. Just horrible. The last straw was graduation photos. Photographer sat below the stage off to the side so we got a blurry photo of part of their face from below so it was mostly chin and nostrils. Luckily, I knew better than to rely on the professionals. My cell photo zoomed in from the stands was waaayyy better. Oh and group photos are all of the same side. The other half of the class didn’t exist because the photographer was too lazy to get up and move to get the other side. Lifetouch - train your photographers. Or better yet close your doors. I would be ashamed to be part of this company. Thankfully you aren’t used for our yearbooks or class photos.
I wish my kids school would drop Lifetouch as our school/class photo company. They’re terrible and incompetent.
For starters, as a child Lifetouch was the forerunners of school photos. The creme de La creme. My kids school never utilized Lifetouch. Until this year. I was initially excited. Oh boy did they change my opinion!!! First two of my four children’s fall photos came with the wrong color selected for the background. This was my son’s kindergarten year and the photo they chose I just KNOW there had to be a better one. He looked like the scared emoji. As if the photographer was saying open your eyes so much. So we got retakes and that photo was better. But then class photos arrived (the students photos with homeroom teacher) except one of my daughter’s. It’s been over three months and we still haven’t received it. Then they were so late to deliver yearbooks that we only just got them today at 8:30a and it was the last day of school with an early dismissal of 11a. None of their friends even got to sign them. So we’re home and I’m looking at their photos within the book and they didn’t even use my son’s fall school ID photo. Instead they chose some spring photo which was so terrible I didn’t even buy them that round. And that’s in his yearbook forever. Why not put the photo like was used for all three of my other kids (fall photo) instead of this horrible picture of my son. Is the whole business incompetent now that Shutterfly owns it? You call customer service or utilize the online chat and they’re rude asshats who offer no resolution. The photos the photographers take are like are you even TRYING to get a good photo of kids?? These are our memories. You’re not even trying and it shows.
I got my 4 year old's pictures this…
I got my 4 year old's pictures this time. We ordered from them last year and got no pictures. This time we got them and the background is a brown stain in the picture and its one of better poses and so I ordered a lot of sizes. Now I can't use them and feel like I have been cheated out of $80.00. There is no customer service # to fix this.
High School Sports Pics
We had high school softball pics with this company. I ordered a $70 package from them. The team pics came in 3 weeks later except for ours. I was told to wait so I did. I called 2 weeks later and got a complete run around. I'm assuming the photographer screwed the pics up so bad they were unusable so instead of working with us or redoing the pics they blew us off. No compensation was given and they decided to return our money without notifying us at all. So whatever school or organization is looking to use them I would not and use a more repretable company. These guys are the worst to work with and screw things up way to much. This is a company that needs to be ran out of business.
The Lifetouch / Preschool Smiles…
There was 1 strand of hair in our child's eye on picture day. The Lifetouch / Preschool Smiles photographer could only be bothered to move that strand out of their eyes for just 1 photo (out of many). Their package description was not clear. And upon reaching out to the company for clarification (over a month and a half), we were just ignored. The pricing is ridiculous. Schools need to drop their contract with this company.
