THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. I sent them a working 700r4. worked fine no issue but we were doing a full build so customer wanted everything rebuilt or replaced. they wanted a monster transmission instead of using our normal local guy. The transmission lost 2nd and 4th gear withing 5 miles. we sent it back 2 more times at our shipping expense just to have the same result. ultimately i took it to our normal local guy who promptly fixed it up. the front pump did not have any of the updates done. the valve body separator plate was drilled in the wrong spot allowing check balls to pass through where they should not. amongst some other items I cant remember. will never touch a monster transmission again. in fact if someone brings us a car with a monster trans in it for repairs to the transmission, we will not touch it we will insist it be replaced as we do not want to go behind their terrible work.

Installed 4l80e 30k miles ago, changed fluid and filter after 14k miles from install, after another 16k miles started shifting strange, checked dipstick, was full but burned terrible smell, my yukon has trans temp guage and was never run over 190 degrees ever, I’m the only driver of it as well. I used dextron6 synthetic just as I was supposed to, I was assured at purchase that it was built with all updated parts. I do not believe it was built with quality parts, no way should this be bad already, the inferior GM original made it to 225k. Do not buy this junk!

They sent me the wrong transmission. Then took them 18 days to get me the right one. Also would not paid for my truck sitting idle and in the way for them 18 days that in sit in the way. Having to gat a lawyer involved to even try to get my core charge. I will not order anything for them ever again. They are absolutely horrible company to deal with

Guess my first review was takin down. So I have been back and forth with monster for over 4 months. After my first bad review over selling me a bad transmission from another company and not holding up to the warranty that they promise. Wanted me to go through the company they used (BD diesel) warranty process. Tazz from their warranty dept contacted me and wanted to make it right. So they had no record of the warranty claim and was going to email me a link to send in another. Never happened!! No email no more contact just ghosted! So I sent it in like the last time I tried. Through their warranty dept. that was close to a month ago. Still no contact. I guess I’ve just been took for 5000. Stay away from this company. !!

Paid to have a beefed up tranny for a…
Paid to have a beefed up tranny for a 2004 dodge cummins. Sent core, recieved rebuilt tranny. Installed and can't get it to stop leaking. Called customer service several time to let them know that the bolt holes in the housing were over torqued and stripped. After the second call, they stopped answering. Installed helicoil to try to stop leaks to no avail. Upon further inspection, the overdrive housing is cracked in 2 places.

These transmission are junk. Bought a new "quick ship performance" trans for the 2013 Silverado 2500. Had it installed, flashed by GM, it immediately starts making weird noises, emailed them right away, been two weeks of back and forth about what it is, tech reviews on their end, only to be told the ship it back (which they will pay for), they are going to tear it apart and see what's wrong, then they will decide how to move forward. (No fault warranty LOL). Then I can pay to have another one shipped to me. This is bullshit, I paid to have a junk $4999 transmission shipped to me the first time. And now I have to pay to have another shipped to me? I could understand if it had been used. It literally has 60 miles on it.

Worst place I’ve ever done business with. Transmission was junk, customer service is junk. Do not consider them for anything!
I’d like to add that in their response they stated they shipped a transmission and I refused it. They approved the transmission they originally sent me for warranty repair which they still have as well as my core. I was never notified of a shipment and have not refused a replacement transmission. I have been out of a vehicle since the first part of October and still am. It has taken them months to respond to me and it took this site, BBB and my credit card company to finally see some action. Do your research people.

Please understand that once a chargeback is processed, it complicates our ability to address warranty claims or offer further assistance. We have made every effort to resolve this issue, including offering a replacement transmission, but due to the chargeback, we are now unable to move forward with any additional support.

They gave me the wrong torque converter and now I’m stuck with it …
I order a torque converter from them that’s supposed to fit a 4l60e/4l65e they sent me a pre-96 4l60e converter so I tried for a week to get a call back or email so someone could help me get the right one so I just order one from circle D but when they finally get back up with me today they say it will another 3 days before tech will be back to review my claim worst company ever terrible customer service and I can’t get my money back even tho torque converter is still new in box

Worst service ever!
Highly recommend you do not use this company. There is absolutley no customer service if you have a problem. First transmission was bad out of the box and took almost 4 months to rectify the situation due to no return calls or emails. I have been in auto repair business for 37 years and this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Customer service doesn't exist
Customer service doesn't exist. They don't return calls, and never answer emails or calls. The 4L70E transmission I got from them looked great and performed "pretty well" for two months, then started slipping. Then it lost 3rd and 4th gear completely. Now my truck is at a Chevy dealership getting a replacement transmission ($5,600+) at my expense. I have tried to talk to someone at Monster about my (fake) warranty but get no response. Do NOT do business with this company!
1/21/25 Monster replied and claimed I bought my transmission in 2020! They say the warranty expired in 2022. That's an outright LIE! IT WAS IN 2024! Invoice # MT-572674 paid August 30th, 2024! This is a fraudulent company! I will provide proof of purchase and installation in 2024 to anyone who wants to see it. They owe me $2,660.06 (at least).

We understand that you ordered a Heavy Duty 4R100 Transmission 4WD Custom Built BLACK BEAST DIESEL with a free transmission cooler and fluid on April 24, 2024. On August 8, 2024, you reached out to our Client Care Department to submit a warranty claim. While we were working diligently to assist you with returning the transmission to the lower 48 states in the most cost-effective manner, we learned that you had taken the transmission to a local shop for disassembly.
As outlined in our warranty terms and conditions, and communicated via email, any unauthorized disassembly of the transmission—whether by another person or shop—automatically voids the warranty.
Additionally, when placing your order, you mentioned that your vehicle was stock. Upon reviewing the pictures you provided, we observed that your vehicle has significant modifications, including 45-inch tires and a 6-inch lift. Our transmissions are designed to accommodate vehicles with up to 35-inch tires and a 4-inch lift. Because the modifications were not disclosed at the time of the order, this unfortunately voided the warranty.
Despite these challenges, Monster Transmission made every effort to resolve the situation in a fair and timely manner. We are committed to providing quality service and support, and we regret that we were unable to reach a resolution that met your expectations.

I bought a 4l60e from them in January…
I bought a 4l60e from them in January this year. I hadn't gone over 1000 miles and the transmission will not go in a gear at all. I called and emailed them, just to not hear back. Trust me, if you get a chance to read this before a purchase, please don't send these people your hard earned money. They don't try at all to help the customer for one second. STAY AWAY!!
I bought the torque converter also. This is not what I was told at the day of purchase about 30 days
