I ordered a 4L75E they to replace my 4L60E. I put it on. It had rough shift from the beginning got the transmission tuned shifted better not even one year later to converter died. Body valve has to be removed and replaced. I went to a professional transmission shop and that’s what they said RPM keeps going up and down because of that the warranty is fake a polite version of what I want to say And the customer service is just B & S asked me 1 million questions like we need to see what the oil looks like take the oil pan off took forever to get back to me horrible horrible experience overall rebuilt garbage sad to see after seeing this on Stacey David, extreme 4 x 4 and other featured shows talking about how great these transmissions are. they’re not really that stay away from from Monster transmission.PS they charge me $600 for a core in a transmission. Then when I went to resend it back to them, we don’t accept the core back from Canada. They knew fully that I was in Canada cause they shipped it to Canada then he told us they don’t reimburse the core from Canada $600 down the drain for core charge that they refuse to take back.

Once they confirmed the transmission we purchased from them is still under warranty they now will not return phone calls or emails.

Monster has been terrible to deal with. I purchased a 4l80 transmission and with 2800 miles it burnt up. No racing and no harsh driving. I contacted monster and was told they are not going to warranty it. My transmission guy said he has had multiple transmission from monster that they did not warranty. Do not buy from them.

Well I would like to start off by saying monster transmission does not know anything about transmissions!! They are a warehouse that takes your money and gets other vendors to build a transmission for you. Second of all, none of them could keep a straight lie between one another. It's always something different. So if you are in the market for a monster transmission, this is not the place. This is just a monster pile of shit!!! 😒😒 Do yourself a favor and get another company to build your transmission. This place does not build anything but problems that takes forever to get your money back and you're still in the same position you once was looking for a transmission!!!!

I bought a transmission 10r80 for my ford pick up truck installed transmission 7/25/25 the truck is now broken as of 9/8/25 with a faulty valve body. Called and talked to them about how to go about the warranty. Their response they will cover the part that went faulty and cover $100 per hour worth of labor, sounds good right? Until you realize you have to pay for the tow truck $150, dealership diag $250, the transmission relearn $250, and also pay for the transmission fluid, calls for 5 hour for labor the ford rate is over $200 per hour. I’m gonna come outta pocket. $1,500 that they will not cover mind you trans has been in the truck less then 2 months. I still haven’t received the money from my core I returned. Now I have a transmission the worked for 1,500 miles and broke in less then 2 months won’t ever recommend or use this place again I need my core money asap please and thank, screw your bs 2 year warranty!

Part does not fit my transmission, was never used, Gives you the run around. Ask if package was broken. They shipped parts in a zip-loc bag. This is their catch for not returning item. Then they tell you they will charge you 15 dlaaors for a restocking. fee. So, they take the part, walk back to the warehouse and put it back in the bin. $25.00. well once i talk to the car club next meeting, they won't be selling shit in shreveport anymore.

worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered trans for a customer. Installed it. Trans failed immediately. Removed and sent in. waited 2!! months for a 2nd trans to be sent. Installed, NO POWER. TCM failure. Sent in. 1 month later to receive part. (customer with no vehicle 3 months, one bay at shop blocked for 3 months) They stated that they have a LABOR and part "Hassle free" warranty. Now I have paid my Tech to do a job 3 times. STILL fighting to receive that.

This company is a JOKE!! I was upsold to a Sportmonster 6l80 for my Silverado because I stated I needed something that can handle towing and not fail. Immediately out the box the trans pan was bent/dented in, the dipstick port and cooler line ports weren’t sealed for shipment & spending almost 5k for this trans you figured it would come with gaskets to install…

So we went ahead and installed this transmission, once installed and filled we went to start the truck, threw a bunch of lights on the dash, no start, no PRNDL indicators lit. After research found the TECHM in the transmission was missing a few pins compared to the original connector from the other trans. I called monster and they said they are sending me another TECHM & oil pan and my warranty is going to be voided…LMFAO.

THIS COMPANY IS A DAMN JOKE! STAY AWAY FROM BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM!!

The torque convertor for the 6l80 transmission was defective. When installed the car had a vibration it never had before. This was installed by a mechanic shop. I notified Monster Transmissions. They tried to say it wasn't their product, but it was my car. I had to take the car to a transmission shop to have perform a diagnostic test to prove it wasn't my car's fault. Then they told me they wouldn't cover the cost of the new install because the product is manufactured, and they can't guarantee it will work. That only shows they don't stand behind their products and the quality build is poor. On top of all of this, I had to pay $247 for the shipping as well. So there went my core return and then some. All of this took about 6 weeks. The car is my daily driver, so I lived out of a rental for six weeks on top of all this. They attempted to tell me that when they received the convertor it was dry and that I needed to check my TCC again and have my front pump inspected. They did rebuild the convertor. When installed for the second time, the car runs fine. No TCC or front pump issues, just a torque convertor that was not properly balanced. Stay away for this company.

What went wrong as in the first time the transmission blew up just normal driving and tail shaft seal leaking. Mention all that was wrong with it. Sent back and they rebuilt it. But still wasn't shifting correctly and leaking fluid. Just getting fluster with them. Had transmission shop pull trans and found torque converter leaking and shifter seal leaking. So had them pull apart and they found used hub and just parts in it as in cheap stuff. So they rebuilt it now and works awesome now.

We are a professional custom auto shop with years of experience working on high-end vehicle builds. After ordering a transmission and a rebuilt NP208 transfer case from Monster Transmission, we experienced an ongoing series of major issues that cost us time, money, and credibility with our customer.

The problems began when we were given incorrect guidance from Monster’s technician, who advised us to go with a ¾” output shaft. After receiving the unit, we discovered it was the wrong length. We provided precise measurements and returned it, only to receive another transmission with a shaft that was over 6 inches long. We were then told by their technician to cut the shaft down ourselves.

Upon installation, the transmission leaked from the front pump seal. Additionally, the case port had stripped threads, something we had specifically requested be fixed during the return process, and it was ignored. The transfer case we had sent in for rebuild came back with a fluid leak, and our ASE-certified technician discovered a hairline crack that had been completely missed. That crack allowed transmission fluid to fill the transfer case.

Despite providing proof of torque converter purchase from another vendor, as required to qualify for a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty, we were told the unit was only covered under a 90-day warranty. Most of that time had been consumed by Monster Transmission's own slow response times and repeated errors. Their customer service delays routinely lasted weeks, and our multiple attempts to contact our sales rep went unanswered.

To make matters worse, Monster Transmission curates their online reviews and only displays 4- and 5-star feedback on their website. That level of selective publishing is incredibly misleading and does not reflect the full scope of customer experiences.

When we finally received a response from their support team, we were offered a bench inspection only if we paid for round-trip shipping and diagnostic fees ourselves. After all the back-and-forth, lost labor hours, rework, and reputational damage to our business, we requested a modest $1,000 refund to help offset the impact. They declined.

Our experience with Monster Transmission has been one of the worst we’ve had with any supplier. If you're considering them for custom work or rebuilds, think twice. Their quality control, communication, and willingness to stand behind their product have been profoundly disappointing.
