Just had fitted, the Moixa 4.8 kWh storage battery, by Oval Electrical Services. What an amazing professional job done by the team at Moixa and also Sam & Chris at Oval Electrical Services. I reported a problem trying to access my personal dashboard. I quickly had a rely from the Operations Team and an engineer was sent out to look at the battery. He was able to resolve the problem and everything is now working fine. My thanks to Shakeel on the operations team who escalated the problem and kept me up to date with how my case was progressing and to Graham who resolved the battery problem. A very pleasant and efficient team.

After a while experiencing problems,not with the battery itself, but with read-outs, Moixa sent Ishmael, a local engineer, who sorted out the matter speedily - the installation into the meter was wrong, and was not recording night time electricity use correctly.
We can't praise Ishmael enough. Not only was he quiet and super-efficient, he was also super-nice, obviously very intelligent, interesting, and a joy to meet. Moixa can be extremely proud of this member of staff.

Great customer service and very competent installation engineers. The communication from customer service is excellent and I have always been kept informed and updated about new/ongoing issues. No problem seems too minor to be addressed and the response times exceed expectations.

Natalia and Kenji from the Moixa team have provided excellent customer service. They have ensured that right from the start, the process has been seamless and stress free. The installation team instilled confidence when they undertook the initial survey and lived up to that standard when installing the panels and battery. They were tidy and left no mess behind them

In late 2018, knowing little about solar power systems I submitted an online enquiry to Moixa. I was contacted the next day by Joe Beebee. I was impressed after this first contact.

I had set my budget for a solar system but spent considerably more on our system after examining the system Joe built for us and researching the quality of the Moixa battery and Zanussi solar panels.

Yes I could have saved over half the cost of the battery (and panels) by buying one online or by using one of a (diminishing) number of independent solar panel "experts" but after reading a number of horror stories online and from speaking with a neighbour who had used one of these independents my mind was made up. I went with Joe at Moixa.

The delivery and installation of the battery by the Zanussi Team was faultless. The battery is very compact and looks so good it's a shame it's not hung in the kitchen or hallway on display rather than neatly installed in the loft.

Finally, you only know how good customer support is when you have a problem with your system so I do speak with some authority when I say Moixa's customer service is second to none.

I had a small issue with the batteries internet connection. From my first contact I was allocated a single point of contact and I have to say Shakeel from Moixa was as good as Joe working though the problem and keeping me up to date with developments.

An engineer visit was booked. The engineer arrived on time and resolved the issue quickly and politely.

In short I have been very impressed with the service and support Moixa and in particular Joe and Shakeel have given me.

If it's not obvious by now I'll say it - I can unreservedly recommend Moixa. The system Joe built for us was certainly not the cheapest. However, the figures showed that we would achieve a 100% return on our investment 2 years ahead of a similar capacity cheaper system quoted by another company I spoke to.

I have been reasearching a solar system for a number of years. I also liked the idea of battery storage.

After enquiring with 3 different suppliers ( local , EON solar and Moixa). It was clear that Moixa had the most compelling offer that included a battery system and hot water heating.

The beauty with Moixa is the SMART battery option which is guaranteed for life as opposed to 10 years, the fact it is SNART battery can charge using off peak electricity you can then use during the evening peak time.

The install was quick and very orofessional. They did a great job as they routed the inverter output to the meter box through the house internally following the soil stack into the garage.My neighbour has a system and they did it from the outside. I thought that part of the install was going to be problematic , but it was not.

The system up and running, even in fairly overcast winter conditions the system generates between 0.466 KWh (4kwh system) and produces a net total of between 3,5 Kw and 4.5 Ken per day. That is quite amazing really considering this the worst time of the year short days and the position of the sun. The Zanussi panels perform well , cant wait for spring and summer. By the way I also qualify for FIT as well.

Additionally , I should be getting the brand new 4.8 kWh battery installed next month and the very highly advanced Moixa app to moinitor everything.

Overall , I am so pleased wit Moixa and the Zanussi solar install. Can’t wait for the battery install. I do not think you will find a better solution for Solar and SMART battery.

My experience dealing with Moixa so far has been almost flawless.
The first contact was with NIck Ellison in the sales team who contacted me after I requested a quote. He listened to my requirements, was quick to reply to emails and called me back when he said he would, and most importantly provided me with a comprehensive quote for a system that took into account our actual usage. I had previously engaged another company, who’s quote was little more than a three line email, and was also much more expensive. The quote from Moxia, and the other positive reviews on sites like this, gave me the confidence to go ahead.
The installation was arranged in less than a month from the initial contact, and on installation day the technician and his team were first class. The work has been done neatly, to a very high standard and in around 7 hours, and when they were finished they left everything neat and tidy.
So far the system APPEARS to be functioning well, although I’m yet to receive the link to access the portal. I hoped that would come within around 48 hours, but so far it’s been 8 days and no sign.
On reciept of this, and assuming everything is functioning as designed, I’ll be happy to upgrade to 5 stars.

Everything explained well beforehand by Nick Ellison, installation was all done and dusted in a day. Great installation team, and really happy with the system.
Left an introduction pack that was pretty comprehensive and the web site provides lots of good data on how the system is performing.

I initially contacted two companies on the onset, Moxia was the first and the quickest to respond, and I received excellent advice from Nick Ellison. The technology is brilliant, solar gives you free energy during the day, and the battery powers the home in the evening. The winter months means I can top up the battery charge using my Economy 7 night rate too.
I wish I had a bigger battery! I would definitely consider adding more batteries in the future to my system.

p.s the 2nd company did eventually contact me in the end, but by that time, I've had my site survey, EPC and signed to arranged the installation date! Just goes to show not all companies are the same, even if they are trying to sell the same technology!

I heard about Moixa and the Grid Share scheme on a forum when researching solar panels and battery storage. I contacted Moixa and spoke to Nick Ellison who was very helpful and talked through the system with me.

They then sent out a sales person who went through how the installation would work, who supplied the panels and other relevant details.

We arranged an installation date and everything was installed on time and efficiently, and the installation team explained what they were doing as they did it, and then cleaned up after themselves too.

One of my favourite things now that the system is up and running is the My Moixa website which shows how much you're generating, what is going into the battery and to the grid, and then when the sun isn't shining, it shows how much you're using and how much is left in the battery. I have that open as a tab in my browser all day when I'm at work so that I can periodically check.

The battery looks smart on our kitchen wall. It was small enough to put behind the door too so it just occupies what was previously some dead space.

Moixa's progress over recent years, shows positive changes. With the new 2018 2 kw battery recently installed, I observe: it charges more efficiently even when overcast; discharge is more flexible thus efficient to the power being used; new dashboard is simple to access and navigate live data of energy flow and detail of consumption.

While aware the battery can take awhile to settle, with one of the Moixa team responding promptly to address any query raised, his close attention to detail to optimise performance to individual use is achieving encouraging results. Thank you.

There is a significant difference in performance particularly since the last technology update. With a house all electric and mindful of consumption, I have led lighting and unnecessary appliances are off and unplugged. July saw - 5 days (24hrs) zero units used and August - 8 days (24 hrs). Monitoring over 12 months will give an overview of how the battery performs in all seasons. Thus far, these results are promising.

Quite good, very quick to instal. Real problems with the online monitoring though. It seems to be out of sync with the clock so indicates the panels are working in the night and not much during the day. Showed the battery initialling being charged by the grid but now indicates that most of the usage is from the grid- a bit confusing. The live power diagram doesn't work at all. The energy flow today chart shows no readings day after day! It is sunny right now yet the total power flow chart says nothing is coming from the panels. It does spike at 2 in the morning though! I have no way of telling whether the system is working properly. They have since been in touch and fixed it all so I have upgraded to five stars.

**Update**

I have had the battery storage installed for a couple of months now and I can honestly say that I am so impressed, impressed with the battery and company.

On a normal day the unit takes less then half of it to recharge from its low protection state of 20%, even on these rainy overcast days I still find a fully charged battery when returning home from work.

The response it has to my power demands is incredibly quick with little to no noticeable lag. I can do my normal admin during the late morning the battery discharges with my demands, as it is so quick to recharge it will be ready for the evening shift.

I have an iBoost installed for the hot water tank, I have no problems between the two products working together, the battery recharges first, as this process is so quick there is always enough time to heat the water tank.

I have a smart meter installed at my house and still my energy provider has checked my readings twice with myself, as well as sending an engineer around to ensure I am not fiddling with it, this was because my readings were so low.
The infuriating thing is that my energy standing charge is more then my usage bill.

The GridShare portal is good and easy to use, all the information you could need as a geek (me) is there, the website works fine on my mobile however an app would complete this package.

If you are looking for a storage battery and a company that will support it and you I can't recommend this enough.

I had the normal initial hiccups that comes with something complex being installed.

At the time I hadn’t heard of Moxia and was first tempted by another brand of battery, however due to being let down on install dates etc. I put the feelers out again.

The sales specialist was extremely helpful and all questions/concerns was answered (apart from when he was on holiday), and my emails would be answered within a couple of hours if not sooner.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the install date was delayed, however once the installer was here and cracking on with the job it all ran smoothly. He kept me informed of the process at each stage and also cleaned up after himself.

The battery worked perfectly for a couple of days then it appeared to fail, customer service initially was slow to respond (due to a busy weekend), but now I feel like I have my own customer support agent. The problem was sorted with the minimum of fuss.

I highly recommend using this company.

I have the new 2018 3kwh Moixa battery. The last firmware update has transformed its performance. Even on mixed, overcast days I have imported less than 5% of my energy from the grid. Charging is fast, taking only 4 hours on a sunny day. I have optimised my house with led lights and switching off unnecessary appliances to cut down on standby use. Well recommended.

The battery and associated apparatus were installed beautifully. The solar panels themselves are held down by unsightly breeze blocks some of which, contrary to my expectations, are visible from the back garden. The installer and his mate were delightful, and, to an inexpert eye, expert. The job required two surveys because the first surveyor had not gone onto the roof and his estimate appeared inconsistent with what Moixa could see using google earth. Even then, when the moment of installation arrived there was doubt as to how many panels could be installed, and where. I was told, more than once, that installation would take a day, but it took three notwithstanding that scaffolding was already in place before day one. Although the people I dealt with at Moixa's offices were all friendly and helpful I often had to chase before anything was done. The worst part of the experience was Moixa's approach to appointments. On a number of occasions appointments simply weren't kept and no-one telephoned to explain why, and on other occasions the engineer arrived very late, again without warning. The matter was exacerbated by Moixa's policy of refusing to give my mobile telephone number to the engineer and vice versa.

Since I wrote the review above Moixa has changed its policy regarding exchange of mobile numbers and has rendered a Rolls Royce after sales service.

Installed on time (despite "friendly" neighbours' objections), only problem was slow documentation (we had to get our own EPC done - but were quickly compensated) and system works perfectly in the current heatwave; generating more than double our current consumption. Long may this continue!
