Merlin is simply the best Archery Supplier in the UK.

I spend a lot on archery gear and as a rule I always use Merlin as the prices are always good and the delivery times always fast.

My only criticism of Merlin would be that they don’t stock/offer everything you might need. For example, they sell Hoyt products, but they don’t offer the Hoyt Barebow weight kits for the xceed riser. Now, I don’t particularly need it, but how come they don’t sell it… They also don’t offer some of the more expensive recurve strings, and other bits and pieces. As a result, sometimes you have to use alternative suppliers. I would normally drop a point for these points, however because they are fast on delivery I haven’t done so.

Brilliant service, great communication and knowledgeable staff make Merlin the best archery retailer in the UK.

Third time buying a bow from Merlin. Top service as usual. Totally professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. Can't recamend enough.

As the chair of an archery club we need equipment regularly and have certain requirements. Merlin have never let us down and when we've made a mistake they have corrected it with friendly communication. This has earned our trust and I have zero hesitation in recommending them to all our members for their needs.

We have bought £1,000's of of equipment from them over the years and they are the one store that has never let us down.

Bought first kit for myself and son recently. Ethan was fantastic. Great advice and support for me, but went the extra mile for my son. Cannot recommend enough. 2hr trip either way and well worth the journey. Won’t be shopping anywhere else!

I have used this company twice in the past couple of months.

They were initially a little difficult make an appointment with. However, on visiting, it became clear that the team is relatively small and the demand for appointments very high. One of their specialists spent ages with my daughter with zero pressure to buy or hurry up!

My most recent experience was this week. Order placed online on Monday, goods delivered on Tuesday. No fuss, no errors, just great service and everything as advertised.

Will be back next year for a bow of my own.

I was sent wrong bolts, alloy instead of carbon.. all are bent now..

bought a crossbow and it was not fit for purpose so returned it customer services actually laughed at me first time i spoke to them then they said they had not recieved item at this department and i would just have to wait ,still got nothing from them so had to get paypal involved and they soon sorted the arrogant customer service and i got money back;Dont use these people there customer service is worst ever and will destroy what is otherwise a good traditional co;

I went to pick up a few items and to try out a couple of bows. James, who I dealt with, was courteous & friendly. I was given plenty of time to try the bows out at my own pace in their indoor range no pressure...great to deal with and very happy with Merlin Archery indeed.

How wrong I was I put an order through for a couple of items order arrived before I thought it would but only one package came so I rang to enquire very helpful on the phone and was told another delivery would be with me shortly which it was
Arrows were well packed in a nice tube to stop any courier damage when I've ordered off other suppliers I've been slightly worried that arrows could be slightly bent due to packaging
Online order was so easy
Will definitely be going back to these guys to spend some more money on a takedown bow and a compound bow
They will get all my custom from now on

My wife and I made an appointment on Friday 1st Oct. We arrived early but were welcomed in without any fuss. We met Brian who helped us with the whole process. I would like to thank Brian and the rest of the team, they were fantastic, Brian had a great sense of humour and his advice was priceless even advising a cheaper product as it would better suit my wife. I returned home with a very happy wife and a great shopping experience. If you are new to archery this would be a great place to start.

Surprised with all the negative reviews here. I've been using Merlin from the beginning of my archery journey til now (over 4 years) and its always been perfectly fine with good competitive pricing.

I have even visited the Loughborough store and Essex outpost, the staff there are exceptional - Special shoutout to Andrew in Essex, he really takes his time, makes sure you are happy, does not upsell and really knows his stuff.

Bought all my archery kit from online and in-store. Booked an appointment for in-store help for choosing and setting up a new bow as new to archery was in the store for hour and half service was excellent helped me choose what was good and then tested on the indoor range. Even when I got home and found a screw missing I emailed and within the day the were apologetic and sent a new screw in the post. 100% will be going back and ordering more.

Bad service. I was initially going to place an order with Tactical knives but decided to get the order together with other bits and bobs from Merlin archery. Placed order and waited.

And waited. If I had placed the order with Tactical knives I would have had it delivered by now. Contacted them to ask where it was. Got reply the next day to say that some items were out of stock, (even though everything was "in stock" when I ordered) and that my order would be sent out next week when it arrived. No apology and terrible attitude. When exactly were they going to tell me that it would be delayed?

They charged my card before even checking the items were in stock. At least they didn't try to blame it on covid.

Never again

Orders were dispatched within a couple of days and customer service was very responsive (sent an email one evening and got a reply at 9.30am the day after). Prices seem comparable to other archery sites and delivery was only £1.99 for 48 hour (small items), which actually arrived next day.

Awesome customer support, active and replies instantly the same day.

Back in the sport after many years, I've been looking around for a few days for a shop online offering some clear stock figures and precise shipping information.
Merlin always cropped up as the best choice, so I did a full order for new bow and all accessories and arrows etc., being sure that was all in stock (and with high numbers!).
The day after I wrote to support to confirm was all good as I needed the shipment quickly for my first lesson, and although the very busy time they gave my order priority and it was shipped quickly and as promised in two days it was delivered to my door nicely packed!
Support has been great in the meantime giving me all sort of tips for tuning and future orders if needed.
Top notch service, only shop I found with stocks (and number of items in stock!) for everything they have, so it's possible to make a quick order if needed to.
Will use them again, customer support has been fantastic.

bad service from merlin ,ordered items for myself and friends 28 feb ,ok some items not in stock 7-10 days wait ,bit longer fine , put a add on order as needed some other parts ,about £160 total , ,no offer to send what they had , ,now 10 april still not here , no comms from merlin i have had to phone and email to chase up ,they cant keep me informed ,no customer care ,but can update facebook no probs ,emailed to cancel order , no reply to that ,now have to go to paypal claims ,avoid this company ,easy to blame covid / suppliers /post /weather ,but if you cant email to keep me updated ,well see other reviews ,just bad service
