Just been to this restaurant on the M1 near Leeds and it's the worst meal I've ever had. I ordered a love burger. Once I started eating it I realised something wasn't right. I asked them behind the counter if it was beef and they informed me it was vegan. This is not stated on the menu at all. Who, these days does not eat meat. If you are selling meat substitute then you need to make the customer aware. I could of died not having meat that day.

M1 services near leeds... This doesn't deserve 1 star, false advertising! I ordered the love burger and it didn't state it was vegan! I was expecting a meat burger but Instead got a tasteless sloppy vegan one. The price was shocking for what you got! Will never eat there again.

What a disappointment. I guess I had high hopes based on the LEON recipes books, ethos and foundations on which LEON appear to be built on. Food being about delicious mouth watering flavours and a shared family/ friends experience and food being created with love and passion. This experience of eating is like any other fast food place. We ordered our food on an electronic screen - completely depersonalising the food ordering experience. We ordered 3x chicken burgers which were all very average and fatty (prob better at a well known outlet beginning with McD.s unfortunately) and 1 x hot salmon salad box (which was really tasty). We ordered fries which were all slightly warm and drinks which were all pretty flavourless. LEON what are you doing. This is very disappointing. As a family of 4, we spent £45 and was left pretty unsatisfied from the overall experience. Then to seal the disappointing experience, there are bins positioned around the restaurant asking the customer to clear up and put the waste in the bins to support staff.

I have since received a very standard response from manager. Basically saying they will look into the chicken. You have really not read my review. The issues were much more than just the average chicken. Response is shown below.

Chicken burger bun was dry and hard, looks like it had been under the infrared for a while, paper wrapper was charred more than the chicken was !!

6.50 for 3 small pieces of chicken and a box of rice. Kings cross square leon. Total rip-off. Pictures totally misleading. Never returning.

Awful love burger. Bread was hard from being on the hot plate. Tasted awful not fresh and healthy at all. Fries were also hard from the hot plate and inedible. Would never eat here again.

Don’t order chicken unless you want scraggy gristle. Complained to manager and his excuse was “ Because we are not a London branch we don’t get the best bits and have to throw some of it away. Also said they have had a lot of complaints. I would never go back even if they were giving it away,

Those order screens are so bad!

Mr Vincent (Leon founder) said on Sunday that he has "had the pleasure of getting to know Mohsin and Zuber [Issa] (New owners) across the last few years.
"They have been enthusiastic customers of Leon, going out of their way to eat here whenever they visit London. They are decent, hard-working business people who are committed to sustaining and further strengthening the values and culture that we have built"...This did not age well.

I’ve eaten Leon for years now and enjoyed their food and the comparative freshness and healthiness it offered on the high street, slightly more expensive than competitors, it was a cost worth paying. Today, I ate a Love Burger, It will be my last!

The standard has slipped so drastically that the thought of spending upwards of £11 on a mea that is undercooked, clearly no longer fresh, the palest tomatoes I have ever seen, bread that feels like plastic, fries like rubber and a patty devoid of flavour or the texture that once made it an enjoyable alternative! Quite frankly leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

Not one to judge on a singular experience, or assume that all branches would be the same, I have given it a chance and it has sadly been the case the last 4 times I’ve eaten Leon. Believe me, I never go out of my way to review or pass comment on any food or retail outlet but on this occasion I feel urged to. A sad day for me!

Great Marketing to Sell Inedible Food. Their motto is why can't fast food taste good. Guess you wont find out at Leon. How this place is in business I have no idea. Their Korean burger is ok. Ordered there sweetcorn ribs which are basically shavings of corn thrown in a microwave to melt cheese and they put Heinz Truffle mayb on top. It's plastic! £3.50 for something you can't even it. If nothing else Leon, take it off the menu as fast as you can.

Horrible welcome to have to touch screen your order. Especially in a pandemic. Then …all the packaging…plastic forks (I know..they are recyclable..big deal..not responsible enough) The food was completely mediocre. So different from my first Leon experience at Glastonbury 5 years ago. Get it together Leon. Won’t be back.

Leon Hammersmith London was the one I went too. Plus not worth paying £9 for it as Macdee a lot cheaper and no doubt fresher than Leon.

The food at Leon is characteristically bland, lacklustre, and frankly awful. Every time I have the misfortune to waste my hard earned money at this restaurant, I leave disappointed and out of pocket. Please, save your money and buy your food elsewhere. I can assure you, this restaurant is terrible.

Lousy food, no meat in the Christmas Turkey curry and “sweet corn ribs” are just an excuse to cut a miniature cob in quarters and rip off the customer. Even with the NHS discount this place isn’t worth the money; it’s just made to separate city muppets from their cash and pretend they’re eating good healthy food.

New street leon was naff! cold burger.

Went to Leon High Street Kensington The food was below average, the chicken tasted strange and the whole dish was tasteless. Portion was very small. Overpriced for what one gets.

Avoid. Paid £4.25 for a cold avo & halloumi burger in Leon. Had to wait ages. Took it back and manager said she couldn’t refund as card not working so she gave me a card with a hand written message on it for a ‘free breakfast’. Chaotic, poorly run and - to be honest - a bit grubby.
