Worst and most expensive experience Ive ever had.
My new KTM stand me in just over 16k with all the extras- but broke down after 6 months with an over heating fault.
P&H Crawley run some test and gave me the bike back but it continued to over heat & use coolant at a vast rate.
P&H then lost there KTM status so the next dealer was KTM Croydon- so I called and they could offer me any dates to book the bike in.
It broke down again 3 days later so I used the recovery card the new bike came with and it was taken to Croydon anyway.
I called KTM and said the engine has run without coolant multiple times over the last few months and needs to be thoroughly checked- they had no interest in doing so & just changed to water pump seal.
The engine is damaged- under powered and runs like it’s 150 years old. The clutch was so hard due to all the water in with the oil- it was a creamy mess filled to the brim!
5 weeks later it was finally ready to collect. They never once returned my phone calls either!
The bike was covered in oily hand prints and other dirt (was immaculate upon arrival)
And how can I sell it- it’s worthless now, trade I was offered 5k…. That’s over 11k lost in 1 year.
I would never buy a KTM again and would advise anyone thinking about it not to.
Just getting them booked in for a service is a joke- 6 weeks wait and a hour drive! Absolutely terrible company to deal with

Les voy a pagar y no va a ser barato, no veo por qué me tienen que tratar como si me estuvieran haciendo el favor, como si fuera limosna.

En tant que passionné de motos et propriétaire d'une KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR, je me dois de partager mon expérience profondément décevante avec KTM et leur service client. Mon intention est d'informer d'autres consommateurs des défis auxquels ils pourraient être confrontés lorsqu'ils investissent dans une moto haut de gamme de cette marque, censée incarner la qualité et la performance.

Dès le début, mon expérience avec la KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR a été marquée par des problèmes récurrents. À peine quelques jours après l'achat, j'ai rencontré un défaut de démarrage lié au commutateur droit, qui a dû être remplacé. Peu de temps après, un nouveau problème de démarrage est apparu, cette fois-ci lié à la batterie, qui a également nécessité un remplacement. Et ce n'était que le début des ennuis.

Les problèmes ont continué avec le dysfonctionnement des clignotants avant, qui ont également dû être remplacés. Mais le plus inquiétant est le problème constant des pièces en carbone. Le cadre arrière en carbone a dû être remplacé sous garantie à deux reprises – une fois par le précédent propriétaire et une fois par moi-même. Et le garde-boue avant en carbone a également été remplacé sous garantie. Ces multiples remplacements sont clairement le signe d'un problème de qualité ou de fabrication.

Récemment, j'ai découvert un nouveau défaut sur le cadre arrière en carbone. Après avoir signalé ce problème à KTM, ma demande de prise en charge sous garantie a été rejetée au motif que le défaut serait "cosmétique". Cette réponse est non seulement inacceptable mais totalement injustifiée. Compte tenu de la nature des matériaux en carbone, un défaut, même mineur, pourrait affecter la sécurité et l'intégrité de la moto à long terme.

Ce qui me choque le plus, ce n'est pas seulement la qualité déplorable des pièces et les problèmes mécaniques, mais aussi la réponse décevante et insensible du service client de KTM. Après avoir exprimé ma frustration et fourni un dossier complet avec l'historique des défauts et des réparations, j'ai reçu une réponse courte et évasive, sans aucune explication détaillée. Cette attitude démontre un mépris flagrant pour le client, surtout pour une marque qui se présente comme "Ready to Race".

Je souhaite avertir tous les motards et passionnés de motos de réfléchir à deux fois avant d'investir dans une KTM. Si une moto de ce niveau de prix est accompagnée de tant de défauts et que le service client n'est pas à la hauteur, que peut-on attendre des autres modèles ? Une marque premium doit non seulement offrir des produits de qualité, mais aussi un service après-vente irréprochable. KTM a échoué sur ces deux aspects.

En tant que consommateur, j'ai décidé de contacter l'Union des consommateurs au Luxembourg et de consulter un juriste pour faire valoir mes droits. Je suis déterminé à obtenir justice, non seulement pour moi-même mais aussi pour protéger les futurs acheteurs de cette marque.

Si vous avez vécu des expériences similaires avec KTM, je vous encourage à partager votre histoire et à faire entendre votre voix. Ensemble, nous pouvons exiger une meilleure qualité de produits et un meilleur respect de la part des fabricants de motos.

How KTM are still in business beggars belief, Every aspect of the company and it's franchises fails in every department, with the exception of taking your money.
I have had the same experience as others on this site, buying a bike from new, warranty issues etc. in the end sold the bike and would never touch KTM again.
Unfortunately in the off road enduro, they have bought up most of the competition, so brands like husqvarna and gas gas who had a loyal following now fall under KTMs disrespectful diabolical attitude to customers.

I recently ordered a rear brake master cylinder from the The World of KTM.
A received a brake line.
The description on their website and the invoice I received clearly stated rear brake master cylinder
When I tried to complain I was told the part number superseded the original part.
You tell me. How does a brake line replace a master cylinder. Typical clueless KTM,
Thankfully we still have a number of European manufacturers that offer a professional and knowledgeable approach to customers, Triumph and BMW to name two.

Selon les mots du service après vente KTM Belgique : « nous sommes un service après vente, pas une mutuelle ». Je pensais pourtant qu’après 3 pannes et 2 mois d’immobilisation en moins de 1 an, j’avais le droit d’être déçu et d’attendre un geste qui n’est jamais venu.

Hatte in den letzten Jahren zwei KTM.
Erst eine SuperDuke GT, aktuell ne kleine vernünftige Duke 790. Diese ist Baujahr 2020 und nach der kostenpflichtigen Garantieverlängerung um 24 Monate, habe ich nun für das fünfte Jahr ein Angebot einer weiteren Garantieverlängerung für 500€ bekommen!
500€ für ein Motorrad….gehts noch? Entweder versucht ktm mich hier abzuzocken, oder der Preis ist gerechtfertigt weil die Qualität schlecht ist und hohe Reparaturkosten zu erwarten sind.
Bei mir klingen alle Alarmglocken. Das teil kommt weg. Mir ist das zu heikel und die Preise bei Ktm sowieso abgehoben.
Werde wieder zurück zu Yamaha wechseln.

I recently bought a 24 300 XC-W. The motor failed with 2.2 hours on the bike and left me stranded in the mountains. i took it to the dealership for a warranty fix being that it was 12 days old and KTM has gone radio silent. no response to me or the dealership. they simply refuse to do anything but sit on their lazy asses and ignore it. its been a month now and no response. i gave it one star because i cant give them 0 stars. so if your thinking about a KTM just dont. not only will you be buying a new bike, youll be paying to fix it no matter what happens at any point in time. KTM is a scum bag company through and through.

Ktm Mallorca, servicio pésimo, mala organización. Me cobraron 1200€ por sustitución de bendix, juntas y un sin fin de piezas más, y la moto aún no arrancaba, dejando para último el sensor de presión de cigüeñal, el cual estaba dañado. Me querían cambiar hasta la batería que tenía 4meses. Tres meses la moto en el taller Burnout Palma de Mallorca. No lleven sus motos a estos estafadores

This is going to be the most honest and straight up truthful review you've ever read I bought a 2006 KTM recently and I needed a gasket for the bike I called down to this KTM Cafe dealer and told him what I needed and they ordered it they called me when it came in and I picked it up and took it home when I started working on the bike I realized that the gasket was the wrong one but it was my fault I took the gasket back and spoke with the owner he knew that it was my fault he knew that I'm the one that ordered the wrong part but yet he still returned it for me that's not even a good part a couple of weeks later my KTM wasn't starting so I took it into him and ask him if he would check it out they told me that it was about 170 something dollars an hour to diagnose it I thought whoa that's a lot of money but I did it anyway so I went and looked at some bikes a little while later he came back out and gave me the diagnosis of the bike it was a bad battery wire I thought damn $200 to tell me that a bad battery and I was prepared to pay it it's a lot of money but I was going to pay it because that's what they charge this is what kind of guys you're going to be dealing with at this business I laid down the $200 they put the paperwork in and they came back and he told me that the part was going to be $30 and he only charged me $30 cuz they only looked at the bike for 15 minutes he totally could have charged me the whole hour but they didn't this is what kind of character this business has I would definitely recommend them to anybody they're honest and they do great work

Ich habe mir vor zwei Jahren ein KTM für 2300,- EUR gekauft. Die Reifen waren nach wenigen Kilometern immer platt, zwei Tage in der Garage konnte man es nicht stehen lassen. Die Gangschaltung hakte, die Pedale waren klapprig, die Bremsen machten Geräusche, der Sattel wackelt und kann laut zwei verschiedener Reparaturdienste nicht fest gemacht werden. Das Vorderrad macht Geräusche. Das ganz Fahrrad hat keine Steifigkeit und schlingert.
Mittlerweile bin ich gute 150 km (in zwei Jahren! - mehr kann man einfach mit dem Schrott nicht fahren) gefahren - jetzt blockiert das Vorderrad und es macht wieder seltsame Geräusche!
KTM ist einfach nur Müll!

In april een nieuwe ktm Duke 990 gekocht, maand later een persbericht dat ktm de motor te duur heeft aangeboden in Nederland. ze bieden hem nu aan voor €1300 goodkoper en het techpack twv €970 gratis, dat is een verschil van €2270. Bij de dealer geïnformeerd, je zou toch verwachten dat KTM dat bedrag terug betaald, maar nee, ze betalen de dealer een klein stukje terug en de rest moeten ze zelf oplossen. Nou heeft mijn dealer(Andre Motors Ermelo) het zo goed mogelijk op te lossen, maar ik schiet er nog steeds €400 bij in. Acosiaal dat ktm hier geen volledige vergoeding voor terug betaald. Nog steeds €400 teveel betaald, en afschrijving dus ook omhoog over de komende jaren. Als je klanten wilt behouden moet je dit soort acties vooral doen, ik koop geen ktm weer.

Wir haben 2020 eine Ktm Duke 390 gekauft als Vorführer......Die hatte von Anfang an mit Feuchtigkeit im Display Probleme.....Da hieß es.....sobald es neue Tachos gibt wird das erledigt......Dann meinte Ktm das wäre zu wenig um den als Garantieanspruch zu wechseln......Ich bin immer wieder dran geblieben....Jetzt kam hinzu das der Tacho flackert.....Wieder gemeldet....Da wir einen Service verpasst hatten und die Maschine nicht groß gefahren ist hat nun Ktm das ganze wieder abgelehnt...Kilometerstand unter 2000 .......echt ohne Worte...Also für mich ist das die erste und letzte Ktm gewesen....Und ich bin da nicht der erste damit.....Kundenservice sieht anders aus.....Man hätte die garnicht kaufen sollen....

I own a 2020 KTM 1290 Superduke R. Machine has 20k miles. (US) it’s currently at a KTM dealer and it needs an engine. KTM only last 4 years and 20k. That’s complete garbage. This bike has been maintained at the dealer its entire life cycle. The dealer said I was in lucky which is Is something you do not say to the owner of a $25000 street bike that’s suppose to be a high performing machine. KTM has been zero help, the dealer has been zero help. I want answers. I want to know why a “high performance” machine needs an engine when the other 8 motorcycles I own have never needed anything. My CBR has 58k miles on it. Brakes, batteries tires and oil changes. This KTM has cost me thousands of dollar and my labor hours to repair certain issues. Do not waste your money. Stick with Japanese motorcycles. Euro bikes are garage. KTM and the dealer have yet to see what’s to come.

KTM do not understand warranty or the importance of looking after customers. Very poor attitude and they blame the customer for their poor quality and shot bikes. Cams should not be worn out at 4000 miles on a 4 year old bike and they wont do anything about it. Hasten to say that it will be sold for a better quality bike. Arrogant bas##rds and will never buy a KTM or any from their group companies.

Schlechtester Service und minderwertige Produkte!!

Ich habe mir 2022 ein KTM Macina Prowler Pro Fully E-Bike gekauft, bereits bei der zweiten Ausfahrt hat es nach einem 1-Meter-Drop heftig im Bereich des Tretlagers geknackt, was hinterher ein Knarzen beim Pedalieren verursacht hat. Das Bike wurde eingeschickt, nach zwei Monaten Wartezeit erhielt ich das Fahrrad zurück, mit der Nachricht, dass die Schrauben der Montageplatte am Motor nachgezogen wurden. So weit so gut. Im weiteren Verlauf hat sich nach einem leichten Sturz (bei ca 15 km/h seitlich vom Trail abgekommen) der Blocklock im Steuerrohr gelöst, wodurch sich das Compression-Einstellrad der Gabel in den Carbonrahmen gebohrt hat (Lack im Unterrohr abgeplatzt, Carbon liegt frei). Das Bike wurde mal wieder eingeschickt, wobei KTM sich mit einer Überbeanspruchung der Verklebung des Blocklocks rausgeredet hat, Blocklock wurde wieder verklebt. Ich habe dann ca. 1 1/2 Monate auf die Rücksendung des Bikes gewartet, um die Nachricht zu erhalten, dass KTM die Adresse vertauscht hat und das Fahrrad in irgendeiner Lagerhalle einer Subunternehmerspedition vor sich hingammelt. Ich bin Mitarbeiter eines in Deutschland mehrfach vertretenen Fahrradhändlers, Grund für die Lieferverzögerung war, dass KTM das Fahrrad an die Zentrale des Unternehmens geschickt hat, bei der es natürlich abgelehnt wurde, weil niemand davon Bescheid wusste. Nach knapp zwei Monaten kam das Bike endlich in meiner Filiale an, wo ich mit erschrecken feststellen musste, dass das Fahrrad ohne jeglichen Schutz in den Karton gepackt wurde (als ich es versendet habe wurde alles in Luftpolsterfolie etc eingepackt um Transportschäden vorzubeugen). Ende vom Lied war, dass der Karton wohl 1000 mal hin- und hergeschoben wurde, wodurch sich die Lackbeschichtung der Gabel bis aufs blanke Aluminium runtergescheuert hat. Ich habe dann eine Beschwerde-Email an den zuständigen Sachbearbeiter geschickt, auf die ich bis heute keine Antwort bekommen habe. Nach einem wiederholten leichten Sturz (wieder seitlich vom Trail abgekommen, Geschwindigkeit ca 10 km/h) hat sich die Verklebung des Blocklocks ein erneutes mal gelöst, worauf sich wie beim ersten mal die Lagerschale im Steuerrohr durch leichten Druck auf den Lenker verdrehen ließ. Ich hab es mir erspart, das Fahrrad ein weiteres mal einzuschicken, habe das Compression-Einstellrad der Gabel weggeschraubt, damit es sich nicht nochmals in den Rahmen bohrt, der Blocklock wurde nun auch modifiziert, damit der Lenker nun freigängig ist, da der Blocklock ja sowieso keine Funktion hat. Ein Enduro-Bike der Kategorie 4 (KTM) sollte wohl doch etwas mehr als einen kleinen Sturz aushalten, ohne gleich einen Rahmenschaden durch die eigenen Bauteile des Fahrrads davonzutragen. Unterm Strich ist das Bike ein reiner Konstruktionsfehler, für mich war es auch das letzte mal, Geld in dieses Unternehmen zu investieren, nie mehr wieder!

I brought two brand new KTM bikes and both of the kickstands broke within a few days of each other. They would not cover them on warranty. They are cheap socialist useless pig headed stubborn arrogant etc etc etc
