I have recently moved into my new property with Uni2rent part of John Shepherd and I have to say it was very smooth process for me to get into the new property. My previous tenancy agreement was about to end and I have to move in on the very same day and it was Friday evening, most of the letting agency try to shift the move in to Monday but when I requested Monica Moran she managed to give me the keys the same day I requested and I am very glad she did. I would also like to mention Ellis Boakye here the way he helped me to move in and sort every problem I had was tremendously good. If anyone reading this review I would suggest to book with them and honestly they have great properties.

Friendly, polite and replies fast.

I've rented off John Shepherd for a few years now and Lauren Foster has always responded promptly to any issues I've had in relation to my property and ensured that they are dealt with in an efficient manner.

I was looking for a one bedroom flat to rent and came across one through John Shepherd Solihull that looked good. I arranged a viewing where I was met by Shennay who showed me round the property and gave me all the information I needed right there for me to decide to move forward. Over the next two weeks Shennay was diligent and professional in getting all the information needed for the landlord to make a decision and I’ve now moved in all sorted within about 3 weeks to meet my timeline. Thanks Shennay and John Shepherd.

Appalling experience with John Shepherd. After 6 years of loyalty, they have committed gross professional negligence by authorized an early tenant move-out without my consent, breaking a fixed-term contract. Most alarmingly, they have taken unauthorized deductions from my rent account (increasing fees by 2% without a signed agreement). They are also currently ignoring a formal complaint. Absolute lack of integrity and professional standards. Avoid at all costs.

UPDATE (March 4th): In response to the agency's comment below: I have already escalated this directly to your CEO and Property Management Director. As your agency has admitted professional negligence and performed unauthorized deductions from my client account, I have set a final deadline of 12:00 PM tomorrow for a written settlement. If this is not met, I will be proceeding with formal filings to The Property Ombudsman and Propertymark. I am awaiting a professional resolution, not a generic redirect.

John Shepherd have managed our property portfolio for many years - and have generally done this well. In recent years we've had Christina specifically look after us - and she has been wonderful - very responsive and helpful to us as Landlords.

For anyone renting out their property with John Shepherd, please be aware of their no-deposit scheme, as they charge you extra fees upon moving out. They added an unlawful professional cleaning charge against me on the tenancy agreement, which contradicts the Tenant Fees Act 2019 as these changes are prohibited. To dispute £320 charge, you have to pay £260 before proceeding to the adjudicator. Please be careful if you are with them, so you won’t end up in a situation like mine. They are not professional in their Derby branch

I honestly can’t thank Catie Butler enough for everything she’s done to help me with my move. From start to finish, she has been absolutely amazing.

She answered all of my questions quickly and clearly, no matter how big or small, and made the whole process feel completely stress-free. Moving can be such a daunting experience, but Catie managed to find me a home and support me every step of the way with such professionalism and kindness.

The Company is ever present to answer to our numerous questions. If the staff are going home weekends especially on Fridays, they usually informs on time. We interacted with Megan and Elisha. These two were amazing, detailed, very detailed and polite enough for even a naive first renter. I would recommend other users. Thank you Elisha Robinson.

I have lived in the apartment through john shepherd for 1.5 years. Whenever i have faced any maintaining issues, they have sent help even during night hours when it was an emergency. They have always been respectful, responsive and every staff member which has been in contact with me from viewing, moving in to moving out, every person from the team has been very polite and helpful in every way possible.
