Left us in fake rent arrears
Our tenancy was transferred from John shepherd midway through our lease. When our tenancy ended, we were told we were in a significant amount of rent arrears.
Upon inspection, John shepherd had offered us compensation (due to them leaving us without heating for over a month of winter), and rather than actually compensating this they’d made it look as if we were in rent arrears and had not paid enough rent.
It was lucky I had kept all the evidence of this compensation, meaning we were able to get our money back. Had I not have preempted there being an issue when our tenancy ended, and hadn’t kept the evidence, I doubt we would’ve ever seen our money again.
Highly unprofessional company, would not recommend to landlords or tenants.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Molly. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and the distress this situation caused at the end of your tenancy. We understand how concerning it must have been to be told you were in rent arrears, particularly when this related to compensation that had previously been agreed. We sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If there is anything that remains unresolved, please do get in touch with us. We would welcome the opportunity to help address any outstanding concerns and work towards rebuilding your confidence in our service.

John Shepherd amazing service.
I have been with John Shepherd since April 26 looking to sell my property. They have been a wealth of advice throughout and have sold the property 2 times, almost at first viewing on both occasions (other factors pulled the initial sale, the current sale is going though the process now). From changing the look of the ads, to advice and calming my fears, they have been brilliant.
Matt Elsworth and the team have been brilliant.
If I sold another property, I would not hesitate to use them!

After some tough experiences with past RMs (except Tenille Biggs), it's been a breath of fresh air working with you. You and Tenille really listen and genuinely try to solve my issues, even when things are out of your control. I was especially impressed by how you saved me £1100 on the heater repair recently, thank you for that. Being an overseas landlord, having a passionate RM like you makes such a huge difference.
