Jetstar cancelled flight at short…
Jetstar cancelled flight at short notice. Had to stay overnight in Sydney and miss a day's holiday. Rebooked flight out was then 2 hours delayed (terrible comms - no announcements etc). The app to claim keeps stalling- have tried to speak to customer service and they send me back to app. Want reimbursement for out of pocket as well as compensation. Wish me luck. I note they're "Powered by Sales-Farce!"

I have flown with Jetstar about 7 times in my life and 5/7 of those times, Jetsar messed up:
1. 2 of my flights were cancelled twice and I was only informed about it extremely last minute.
2. They also delayed my flight from Washington to Texas TWICE within the same day, and as you expect, we were informed about it LAST MINUTE.
3. My ticket had the wrong information on my flight to my investment platform end of the year conference, "Frontier Invest Corp". I was devastated after the incident because it made me get to my event venue late.
I'm starting to question the competency of the leadership in this organisation when the airline has consistently disappointed the customers with their unreliability. Suffice to say, I would only fly this airline as a last resort.

Not impressed - made genuine error booking flights because mix and match flights, despite entering in travel date multiple times , I didn’t realise still had wrong date- wrong flights booked for months ahead in 2026, tried to get vouchers rather than cancel wrong flights and Jetstar not having a bar of it… didn’t fall within an hour of error (flights booked during work lunch break) and when I tried to fix error, calls to same airline busy told to phone back. This airline should run the NZ health system - no room for errors
Waste of time trying to book online.
Tried to book online three times. Used 2 different laptops, 2 browsers and 2 credit/debit cards in case there was something wrong at my end. Progress stopped at the last step each time. Called them twice and they could make a phone booking, but couldn't match the online price. Ended up booking the exact same Jetstar flights, but via Qantas website, which was quick and easy.

Rude, assuming and uneducated staff who were full of attitude and a barely passable understanding of the language.
To top this off the pricing went from reasonably competitive to more expensive than Quantas.
Honestly not worth the headache for how little you save and how much more stress is induced from the absolute pathetic provider.
We paid for Flexi Plus return flights…
We paid for Flexi Plus return flights with Jetstar, a premium fare, and specifically selected row 1 for extra legroom and comfort as I’m not a great flyer. During our trip I experienced a medical episode and was really looking forward to getting home. Instead, Jetstar downgraded our fare to Starter, onsold our seats, and didn’t even seat us together. We had to request to be moved and were placed at the very back of the plane.
There was only one inflight service, which of course started at the front. Even after repeatedly explaining to staff what had happened regarding our seats an that I needed water to stay hydrated due to my medical situation, we were served last. The onboard crew did come back to us later and offered to help us lodge a complaint.
Trying to contact Jetstar has been equally frustrating. After all the back and forth we received just $64 for the seat selection, far from adequate given the downgrade, inconvenience, and stress.
Overall, Jetstar has proven to be completely untrustworthy and unreliable. We are Qantas frequent flyers but this will be our last with Jetstar! I honestly can’t recall a single trip with them that has gone smoothly. Thanks Jetstar, for always being reliably unreliable.
Hand luggage 2kg over for $75 charge
Both our carry on bags were weighed & came to just over 9kg in total.
Our check in bags were only 15kg. Total of 24kg not 30kg.
We were going to be charged an extra $75 for having just over 2kg in hand luggage. Disgusting.
Both my husband & I are not overweight ourselves either.

What shocks me the most is that you need to pay for food inside a 8 hours plane and on the top of that you need to pay to watch movies.
Please never consider booking a flight with this company this is absolutely horrendous. Never ever again I will book a Jetstar flight.

Hey Jetstar, why don’t you add my individual weight to the carry on as well ? Given you want to add books bought at duty free , bottles , jackets anything that can add on more monies ? Stressing people at gates is kind of annoying . Giving us free passes to take a backback on the flight is hilarious . Why don’t you just bump up the flight fare and compete with airlines on fare that’s real.

Unable to provide alternative flight with another aircraft for fully booked flight. No crisis management plan. Pathetic management that develops chaos among customer schedule. We have just been told that we have been bumped on to the latest flight from Wellington to Auckland prior to our trip to Japan in March next year. When we queried this and asked the person we talked to if we could be booked on an earlier flight, he told us that there were none available. This was a downright lie as there are still multiple earlier flights to be booked, including our original flight. I wonder how stupid they think that we might be that we might not check their assertions, but they know that they have us over a barrel. I wonder if they are just trying to fill the most inconvenient flight of the day first which will probably be cancelled in the end because they haven't been able to fill it, putting out our entire trip
