No outside food or drinks

The amount of unnecessary rules is insane. No headphones for takeoff and landing, and no use of powerbanks. But the most despicable and greedy is no outside food or drinks. They actually want you to be forced to purchase their overpriced slop. This is disgusting. I suggest paying any amount of money to fly with thier competitors.

My flight was delayed for 13 hours resulting me missing my connection and accomodation. The ridiculous thing is on board i try to charge my phone the flight attendant says you need to pay.

Booked seats lost after aircraft change, no refund offered

We specifically booked seats in a 2-seat row for extra comfort when travelling as two people. Shortly before departure, Scoot changed the aircraft, so our booked seats no longer existed and we lost the seating arrangement we had chosen. Despite this, Scoot refused any refund and offered no fair solution. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.

Inflexible bookings, bad service online

I've flown with this airline before and had no problems, but this time does beat all. I bought a ticket and wanted to add another ticket to the same booking. It's pretty difficult to get thru to a live chat assistant at the best of times, but then - after all the form-filling and hassle - they will not let me add an extra flight to my booking. I asked, "Why won't you accept my money?" and I didn't even get an answer!

Formal Complaint Against Scoot – Denied Boarding Due to Check-in Failure

I am extremely disappointed with my experience flying with Scoot on 2 April 2026 (Flight TR282, Singapore to Bali), which resulted in a completely avoidable denied boarding situation due to check-in staff mishandling.

Our group of six passengers, including an elderly wheelchair-bound passenger requiring special assistance, arrived at the check-in counter on time and submitted all six passports for processing. Your staff member held all our passports for an extended period but only managed to issue three boarding passes. We were then abruptly told that the check-in counter had closed and the remaining three passengers would not be processed.

At no point were we warned that we were at risk of missing check-in. More importantly, our passports were not returned in time for us to seek help elsewhere. This meant we were effectively prevented from taking any action to resolve the situation.

This is not just poor service — it is a serious failure in duty of care. If the staff member was unable to process our group, she should have immediately called for assistance instead of allowing the situation to escalate.

As a result of this:
- Three passengers were denied boarding despite being present on time
- We incurred significant costs for last-minute replacement flights
- We experienced extreme stress and disruption while travelling for a wedding
- An elderly passenger in a wheelchair was subjected to unnecessary hardship

What is even more concerning is the complete lack of response from Scoot after we reported the incident shortly after it occurred.

I have since submitted a formal legal complaint and escalated this matter to the relevant authorities. I expect accountability, a proper investigation, and compensation for the damages caused.

This experience has been deeply distressing and has significantly impacted what should have been an important and meaningful trip. I strongly urge Scoot to review their staff training, check-in procedures, and handling of passengers requiring special assistance.

Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend flying with Scoot.

Awful experience

Awful experience.
First time flying with Scoot, and never again.
12hours flight, the temperature in the plane was so low that I got sick. And when I wanted to buy the blanked, they didn’t want to accept any of my cards. Eventually they did and they charged me 10 euros for an awful blanked that is not even warm.
Later when I wanted to buy food and water, they didn’t want the accept the same card used before to pay the blankets, and I had to pay in cash with euros.
The stuff was very rude and unprofessional and the temperature in the plane was on purpose low to make the people buy the blankets.
They also said there’s turbulence during the whole flight, while there was no turbulence, just so they can go around selling things.
The cost of the checked in bag is un proportionally high to the cost of the ticket.
Never again. I do not recommend it to anyone.

The worst airline experience I’ve ever had – avoid at all costs

Scoot is easily the worst airline I have ever flown with. I wouldn’t recommend them even to my worst enemy.
From the moment you board, the stinginess is obvious: they don’t offer even a glass of water for free. If you’re thirsty, you can only buy it with a credit card — they don’t accept debit cards or prepaid cards. The seats are ridiculously small and tight, with almost zero legroom or space for your things. It feels like they designed the cabin to make you as uncomfortable as possible.
To make things worse, one of my suitcases arrived badly damaged — a wheel was completely broken. No care, no accountability.
Terrible company, terrible service, terrible value. Never flying Scoot again.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I would not recommend flying with Scoot unless you have no other choice—even if you have KrisFlyer privileges.

My complaint email received a generic, templated response that clearly did not address the issues I raised. Attempts to resolve the matter via live chat and phone were equally frustrating, with staff repeating scripted replies such as, “the system does not allow us to do anything.”

It’s difficult to accept that a multi-million dollar company is entirely constrained by its own system, with zero flexibility or willingness to consider individual circumstances.

All my interactions so far suggest that there is little intention on Scoot’s part to meaningfully improve the customer experience.

Worst Airline Ever!!

If I have the choice Scoot would on the bottom of the list to fly with. Not to mention I felt being scammed for charging me Board Me First when I am already a Silver KrisFlyer member where I was already entitled for the service. I couldn’t book our multi country flights with SQ connect with Scoot on our booking, thus I had to book a separate booking from Singapore to Kuching return trip. I had no issue checking in our luggage all the way through to Kuching between Beijing to Kuching with SQ then Scoot. However, on our outbound flight to Adelaide, we had to collect our luggage and clear customs in Singapore, and recheck in again to Adelaide. I had no issue with my last trip with the same sort of booking last year. I would say this is rather a double standard for Scoot and SQ. And, one hand carry on board should be strictly enforced and no free second hand carry with free of charge should be allowed at the gate. This is very unfair for passengers such as myself who bought extra weight in advance for checkin luggage. What ashamed for SQ being the first choice airline worldwide but Scoot being the worst airline I have ever encountered.

Scoot is a very good low cost airline when travelling in Asia.

I recently had a number of flights on Scoot in SE Asia. I like them - low prices for well maintained aircraft that run mostly on time. And of course the staff ("Scootees") seem to genuinely want to ensure customers are happy. However, Scoot is less attractive if you have check-in luggage and wish to eat and have a glass of wine on board. But for a short hop between Asian cities, Scoot is good value.

If I could select 0 stars I would… we paid for leg room… and our leg room was the passage that half the plane used to get to the toilet. We were trodden on, kicked and had to hold onto our drinks and food. The most aweful 12 hours of my life. And we paid so much for the seats.

Scoot is very greedy with money

Scoot is very greedy with money. They are inconsiderate with their passengers. Singapore airlines shouldn't be promoting this lousy airlines.

I promoted Scoot to my sister. She missed her flight due to some technical issues in the airport system. When i called them asking if can rebook because she is with a small kid, the arrogant manager told me they don’t care for reason as long as late to arrive at the gate, the ticket is forfeited. I experienced the same with SQ but due to heavy traffic and they assisted me to take the next flight free of charge. They told me as long as there is a valid reason to it. My sister was in the airport 5hrs before her flight. Very inconsiderate airline. Should not be linked with SQ, it will destroy SQ name.

I only gave Scoot one star because…

I only gave Scoot one star because there is no lower score. The design of Scoots seats and charging structures are based on being mean. The seats are hostile ie: deliberately designed to be uncomfortable so you pay more to upgrade to a normal seat that any budget airline would provide as the basic seat. The result of my uncomfortable 5 hour flight was a sore back and neck. A day later I was hospitalised with a bulging disc and not being able to walk. DO NOT fly Scoot

Disappointing experience

Booked for two in SCOOT PLUS cabin BKK_SIN in fall 2025, flight was supposed to leave erly afternoon but was resceduled 3 TIMES (!) and ended up to be a LATE aftzernoon flght. Unfortunately everytime the flight was resceduled our seat reservation (first row window and aisle) where cancelled so right before the flight we we seated in two middle seat behind each other without any notification, The plan (787) got to the gate on ontime and we wher shocked to see how much damage (deep scratches and dents) it showed in the front /nose! Interior cabin and seats looed tired and need refurbishing. Food acceptable at the most. Summary: not our first choice in the future.

Where "Quality Assurance" Matters More Than Human Safety

​If you value your health, or the health of your elderly or disabled family members, do not fly Scoot.
​My father—a disabled passenger—suffered severe food poisoning after eating the "Kung Po Chicken" on a Scoot flight. When we reported it, Scoot spent four months sending automated "we are busy" emails before finally hiding behind a "batch test" to claim the food was safe.
​The Reality of Scoot’s "Service":
​Zero Empathy: They ignored the fact that a vulnerable man was acutely ill in a developing country.
​Tactical Delays: They waited until it was impossible to provide medical "proof" before demanding it, then used that lack of proof to close the case.
​Corporate Gaslighting: Their "Resolution Manager" essentially told us that since the factory was clean, my father’s illness didn't happen.
​A budget ticket shouldn't come with a side of gastroenteritis and a four-month lecture on "Container Security Tests." They are a faceless corporation that views their passengers as cargo, not customers. Avoid at all costs.

Atrocious service.! DONT PICK THEM!

Atrocious service.!? NEVER AGAIN WILL I FLY WITH SCOOT. Sitting in Singapore airport. Told flight delayed because it was late and needed cleaning and supplies. Over an hour sitting looking at the plane, but no movement?! No explanation. Doubt they need supplies as they don’t even give you a drink of water on a 3 hr flight. Staff will not explain why, just rhyming out what they were told to say?! Appalling.

Scoot = Turtle Airline: Slow, Inefficient, Disappointing

Flight was scheduled to depart at 7:50pm, the aircraft arrived at 7:00pm, yet the pilot and crew only showed up at 7:50pm—and departure ended up at 8:50pm. A full one-hour delay caused purely by inefficiency, not circumstances. No effort was made to recover time, and boarding/coordination was extremely slow.

As a frequent passenger, this is consistently the experience—no improvement at all. If possible, choose another budget airline. It’s honestly disappointing to be associated under Singapore Airlines, because the standard is nowhere close. People may expect better due to that association, but don’t—this feels like the complete opposite.

What a worst experience…

What a worst experience with this service provider. We were refused tap water and were forced to buy the bottled water. Even though they charged full amount for the water the size of bottle we received was not even 500 ml, it was in fact 300ml, it was not enough to quench your thirst.
We then ordered the food. Scoot is running a joke program with every service they provide. They changed full amount fee and provided 6 tablespoons amount of food. It is not even enough to full 4 yr old kid. It’s a shame on them that they make people go hungry even after customers have paid for their meal and they making profit over people food or drink. Never again with scoot. No more travelling. We had enough first and last
