Great gym for everyone

large spaces and modern equipment. Unfortunately, some machinery is broken and is not repaired quickly and frequently. Classes are often canceled and no notice of cancellation is given.

It's a great gym. I'm enjoying the variety of kit and machines available. The changing rooms are very good, always clean, and the sauna is a really relaxing way to finish off a session.
I did have an issue with some of the machines not working to full capacity. The bike kept jamming and it was tricky to set a workout on the cross trainer. I think some maintenance and easier ways to report it would help. Also more cleaning equipment please! One spray and one paper towel just isn't enough.
But overall it's a good gym and has a good vibe.

So far - only one week in- it’s been a very positive experience! The staff were lovely when I went to find out about the gym. Other members have also been friendly and helpful. Clean and loads of equipment. Showers are very powerful but I guess I’ll get used to that. It’s been good so far!

Nice big space with plenty of machines, treadmills, bikes, rowing, elliptical.... and great selection of gym equipment to chose from. Good selection of Classes. Everything is nice and modern and easy to use. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Changing room area is nice and clean.
The monthly price is great too, there is no contract commitment which swayed me going signing up to this gym. I made the right choice and I love going :)

I cant comment on the equipment yet, but I have been a member for 4 months and absolutely LOVE the spin classes with Stephen! He always turns up and gives you so much energy and support to keep pushing you. He is the sole reason I am still a member at this gym, its like finding a trusted nail tech, hairdresser, or your favourite pizza, Stephen is the only person I enjoy to take a spin class (and I've tried a few!), classes are always a laugh, no judgement, very supportive too. I already feel like a wee family with the spinners!

I'm also trying out the body pump, yoga and zumba, but only tried them all about 2 times now. Can't fault them at all either. Jean, Carla and Claire definitely know how to make you feel welcome and all 4 instructors are very supportive in your needs.

Stephens spin classes are AMAZING! Always tough in a good way along with good chat! Great gym with good machines. Clean changing rooms! A good mix of classes On offer! Friday night yoga is a great way to end the week!

Very easy to join staff where very helpful

They gym has very good environment but the changing rooms are so dirty and stinking all the time, you can’t have neither a proper shower and in the sauna you should have hygiene rules like everyone’s should wearing flip flops and to have a shower before to use it, except that the gym looks fab

Class gym - no issues getting on any machines etc due to the vast size of the gym, even during busy times.

I generally like jd gyms but its always the same things that bug me compared to other similar gyms about JD ,ther are NO rules in JD gyms at all....ppl working out in bare feet ,socks ,tops off ,i even saw one guy on the lat pulldown with football boots on a few nights ago ??? 16 y.o guys taking smelling salts openly on the gym floor stinking the place out ,never any blue paper to wipe down machines ? Toilets out of order ,machines constantly out of order ,just a general lack of care from the staff it seems in keeping the place running well ,comfortably and more importantly safely ,been the same issues for the past 2 years now ,if the gym wasnt 24 hours and 2 minutes from my house i would go elsewer ,i've also noticed the prices rise in memberships ,not cool ,outwith these gripes (maybe i'm just getting old) ther's plenty of equipment ,the gym floor is always clean ,well lit ,good music playing

Been a member for 3 years but cancelled now. Place has a good range of equipment however everyday there's something broken and it take at least a week to get it fixed. Far too busy at peak times, the changing rooms are always full of guys weirdly hanging around the changing rooms or taking pictures of themselves. Guys toilets are always stinking and only one cleaning station in the entire gym.
Kids sharing codes and running through the barriers at night, staff don't seem to care and it's these cheapskates that tend to ruin the equipment and leave the place in a mess. Spin room is shut at 10pm so can't have a cycle after this time, although the room itself is rarely cleaned apart from the glass windows so I'm not sure why it's closed? I was told that I could request for the room to be opened at night but the one time I asked I was told to leave because it needed cleaned. I stayed in the gym for another hour and no staff even entered that room. No spin bikes on the gym floor at all.
Place is full of posers who you would think could afford to go to a private gym if they were that into fitness, but instead hang about JD watching others. No loyalty pricing, it was £18 when we signed up and is now £22.99, doesn't matter how long you stay, the prices goes up.

got double charged on my first month and cant even find my refernce number to get help refunding it lets hope the fraud doesnt continues for a second month we shall see still trying to find a way to claim back the extra £22.99 that was taken

Not clean. Too congested and not proper equipment in place. Very few things around. Where you have to wait for hours to use the equipment. Not worth the money

I was told I would have no signing up fee & I would be paying £20 per month.

JD took £23 from my account & will take £23 monthly by direct debit. JD are still advertising the cheaper rate + zero signing on fee. False advertising!!!

Good range of different machines, just missing more dumbbells, only one set of 26kgs 28kgs etc etc, weights also all over the place and not in order, apart from that good gym.
