JD Gyms - Glasgow South Arvostelua 

Changing room is a bit small.
A sanitary water dispenser is missing. They currently have a water tap, which others can drink from it directly despite the sign asks to fill bottles only.
Paper towels and cleaning sprays can be provided so athlets clean the equipment after use.

Joined the gym just this week, as I need a decent 24 hour place to train. This definitely ticks the boxes for what I’m needing! The equipment is good, and it’s never been overly busy when I’ve been in - but I am usually in training before 5am. Definitely one of the better commercial gyms I’ve trained at!

Toilets are so dirty and there is only 2 machinery for the glutes exercise. Need to wait a long for the machinery to get free. And area is so narrow l. I don’t recommend JD gym south side

Good range of kit and space, could have more glute machines. Water tastes really chemically so tend to avoid it. Female toilets could be cleaner. Great sauna though!

The equipment is always filthy and there’s never any cleaning wipes. There has not been a single time where I’ve gone and there have been wipes. Even if there were, only one wipe supply for the entire gym is crazy. The toilets are also always a mess. Paper towels in the sink that clearly haven’t been cleaned recently. I’m likely going to cancel my membership due to these cleanliness concerns.

I just wish weekend you done classes at night

the wifi at the gym doesn’t work so if my data runs out and i cant join the gym’s wifi so i cant get in without calling for help beside that love the gym and its perfect

I am writing this to warn others about the ongoing state of JD Gyms Glasgow South. Once again, there are no changing facilities or showers available, a problem that has become far too common at this branch.
The most frustrating part is that management is non-existent. There is nobody on-site to address these recurring issues or provide a timeline for repairs. As a paying member, being unable to wash or change after a workout is unacceptable.
Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, businesses have a duty of care to provide a safe and hygienic environment. If these basic welfare standards aren't met and the facilities remain out of order, I will be formally reporting this branch to Glasgow City Council’s Environmental Health department.
Fix the facilities and get some visible management on the floor, or you will lose your members.

Find the gym clean tidy the sauna is an add bonus has plenty of machines staff friendly would recommend cheers

Could be a bit clearer to be far, the sauna is great. Plenty of kit in the gym itself. All the staff and gym users are friendly enough bunch. Overall good value.

Great gym with a clean environment and good machines. The atmosphere is positive and it’s a great place to work out. I’ve had a really good experience at JD Gym Glasgow.

Cramped changing rooms and already broken locks on shower doors - feels unloved

Good size gym with lots of classes and personal trainers available. The sauna is open late till 10pm and that is very feasable if you are coming late from work. The gym is open 24 hours at a good price membership.

Great gym. Staff are knowledgeable and there are friendly and will help you. Gym is a big. Lots of equipment and classes. The only bad side is the ladies toilets are diabolical. Smells really bad and I seen dirty sanitary towels. Though the ladies changing rooms are very clean. Apart from the ladies toilets, the gym is awesome.

JD Gym South Glasgow has the potential to be an excellent facility when everything is running as it should. The equipment selection is generally good, and on the days the gym is fully operational, it can be a solid place to train.
However, my recent experience on 27/12 was disappointing. Despite the website indicating that the gym would be open, the doors remained closed with no prior notice or communication. For members who rely on early-morning workouts before work, this is incredibly inconvenient.
There are also ongoing issues that need attention. On several occasions, the shower facilities have been unavailable, and there appears to be a lack of cleaning staff during peak times. Many pieces of equipment are in poor condition, with some machines partially or completely broken, which raises concerns about maintenance and safety.
The choice of background music often feels mismatched to the environment and doesn’t seem to consider the preferences of the wider membership. Additionally, the management at this site consistently fails to address recurring problems, and their communication with members is notably lacking.
Overall, this gym could be great, but the operational inconsistencies and lack of effective management significantly impact the member experience.

Great location and everything I need to train hard!

Got kicked out from a member of staff bc one of my friends was using my gym code which I had no idea abt I remember giving it to him once didn’t know he kept using it so I got kicked out for dat made a new membership and the guy that kicked me out is up my arse

The actual gym itself is great. I’m trying to cancel my membership as I have moved away and there isn’t one close to where I stay now. The time I have been waiting just to cancel the membership has been ridiculous. It’s almost taken up to 2 weeks just to cancel a gym membership.
