They now block Google reviews because…

They now block Google reviews because they’re doing so poorly.
Placed order 9 days ago. Checked Australia post tracking. Item hasn’t been despatched. Checked JB website tracking. Also says not despatched and that there’s a delay. No estimated new delivery date or explanation for the delay. No emails or sms messages advising of the delay. Have called to discuss and am in queue behind 35 others. The recorded message suggests using the ai assistant on the website. I did that. The thing told me the item has been shipped and is there anything else I want before I go and have a nice day. Ie - programmed to offboard enquiries and provides information at odds with the website. This company won’t survive much longer in the modern commerce environment. What a joke.

Communication definitely isn’t their strong suit.

Bought a new device and on the sales person’s suggestion, I registered to trade in my old device. They offered what I felt was a fair price. 5 days later they quoted the wrong serial number and insisted I made the mistake and reduced the trade in value by $200. I had photos of my old device’s serial. They didn’t care. Their online chat is useless they don’t read or understand what you tell them and you end up repeating yourself endlessly, after waiting over an hour to get a reply.

Update: 29-12-25: still no refund for our trade ins; however the third party handling the trade in has now debited our account 2x of $200. Bank is chasing it up.

I believe I found one of the problems…

I believe I found one of the problems at the JB HiFi Maroochydore homemaker shop. She was management. How could I tell? She was dressed like a man but severely, in tweed of all thing, tight fitting like it was snug a few years back. Hair short, made to go back. She chewed out my guy in an executioners voice. As if he had run over her dog then backed over it, while giving her the finger, and got away with it. `That was the intensity, the tone of her rebuke. What had he done? He assisted two check out chicks on some IT` protocol they didn't know that he did. Everyone stopped. She oozed You're fired vibes. Very ugly behaviour. The problem starts at the top. Staff were fine, my guy was great

Pre order scam ... 0 stars

ZERO Stars for you.... again with 3 pre orders all different transactions and products. They haven't got enough stock. WHY advertise a product you won't have? Bought brand new security camera…

Bought brand new security camera system, delivered rural Australia.

On delivery, one camera waa obviously used, scratched lens, no protective film.

Battery lasts 4 weeks opposed to the advertised 6 months. Why do they rebox and sell hoping some mug will just put up with faulty products.

Now my housr is unsecure for another month while they resolve this

I purchased a TV on line

I purchased a TV on line, I paid $60 to have the TV delivered and set up &!the old TV removed? I was told by the delivery people that they don't set it up! I rang the support phone number .. 40min wait .. to be eventually told that to have TV set up would cost an extra $100 & they don't know when it could be done!! Not Good enough JBHifi! I will never use this company again.. Appliances on line offer free delivery, removal and set up..

Will never shop with these guys again.

Unlike other retailers that can deliver in Metro areas JB hi Fi can get a single thing right. Two failed deliveries, multiple emails, calls and not one helpful person - Ai chat bots and 2 hours on hold to speak to someone.

Never pre purchase from JB HIFI

I Pre purchased a security display unit that was promised next day delivery from the release date, so I could secure a unit and be one of the first people in Australia to review it. Instead I’m here like many other reviews warning people to never use JB HIFI’s pre order delivery service. After 4 days of no delivery I waited over 50 minutes listening to the worst 80’s style porn music they play while waiting, only to talk to an operator that I could hardly hear and was cutting in and out all the time. As far as I could make out, My package had not even been sent out for delivery yet and wouldn’t receive it until later the following week! That’s if I receive it at all. This is blatant false advertising and promising on things they literally can’t deliver. It has been an extremely disappointing experience from a company you expect better from. And a warning to others to only buy off the shelf from them or go to Harvey Norman or The Good Guys who will price match and give you the upmost best in service that you the customer deserves.

I have spent tens of thousands at JB…

I have spent tens of thousands at JB Hi-Fi. I always used to go to them for everything, brand new and request the best price or wait for a sale. It looks like Samsung website has the best deals as they were prepared to give me $350 for my old Galaxy S21 Plus and JB Hi-Fi offered $180. Plus Samsung would give you another voucher for I think about 130 dollars. You have to do this on the Samsung website. Don't go into the shops because they can't offer the same deal.
JB Hi-Fi give you a terrible trade-in price after ripping you off for the item new and making out their giving you a great discount. Now you see all these refurbished phones. On principal please avoid buying these refurbished phones because the people that have traded them in have been given absolutely nothing for them, I'm talking from experience. It's all about win win for JB Hi-Fi and lose lose for us, the customer.
Also their returns policy seems to have changed and if anything's been opened they don't want to take it back. So I highly recommend people going on to Amazon or eBay and purchasing there because they normally have change of mind or money back guarantee within 30 days.
I got the Samsung Galaxy s25 Edge on marketplace for $1200 that was basically new and a great saving. Phones are just too expensive nowadays to buy brand new just like motor cars.
I am very reluctant to purchase anything from JB Hi-Fi anymore least of all any accessories or something that has to go back because you don't like it or you've changed your mind. They don't want to take it back so JB Hi-Fi I hope you're stuff stays on the shelves and gains dust. You've lost me as a customer

Horrendous Online and Service Experience

The buggy website glitched on a payment screen and when it refreshed it went back to the default delivery method. Cancelling my order was a 3 hour ordeal and the refund will take days. You are unable to change or cancel an order very easily. I have bought every phone, laptop, TV, audio device and gaming console I have ever owned from JBHIFI along with many appliances and white goods. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on, I never want to give them another cent.

Unfair, Unethical Sales Practices, Complex, Inflexible Sales Procedures

Unethical, Unfair Sales Practices. Not flexible with business transactions.
As Apple stores suggested 3 to 4 weeks delay for iPhone 17 Pro Max, and as JBHiFi store person said as per JBHiFi website and their internal info, its quick to get it through them, I made a pre-purchase. Since then the website status kept changing from 3rd Oct to 6th Oct, and then mid Oct. No status updates given, during calls. Visited multiple stores of JB HiFi during regular shopping. After the 3rd Oct, which was supposed to be my pickup date for my order, I received exactly same update from different stores and different personnel, that due to recent cyclone in China all orders are delayed and they dont know the status. Even the online support team mentioned that to me over the phone today.
I managed to buy one off Apple store today, and Apple doesnt seem to be affected by the same Cyclone. Their senior management is broadcasting incorrect information, and following unfair unethical trade practices to force customer into buying off them.

I could not get a refund from the pre-purchase from JB HiFi over the phone, as online team said, as its an online order it must be refunded through a store. I went to a store, and they said the order needs to be transferred from the original store to theirs and as they original store is closed for the day, they cannot do it.

So difficult to get even the basic purchase related transactions done through them, and not transparent and truthful in their business practices.

Great stores around Australia

Great stores around Australia, they often adhere to good warranty practices, the only issue I've ever had is one time with a phone charger cable, where the manager was being persistent about it working on their phone, but it wouldn't on mine, so that was somehow my problem, and not the cable. Which is just poor customer service. But I went to another store, and found someone who didn't wake up on the wrong side on their bed. Staff always friendly, always getting good prices, always looked after, clean stores, nothing negative to say as of yet really.

Can't believe what you are told - next day delivery has not happened

Had to make this Purchase online as the stock was not held in store. Was promised it would be delivered the next day - paid for that. Urgently required. And No order Delivered. No tracking info on Global Express who it is apparently with. Can't speak to anyone there and now online chat at JB says it takes atleast 1 - 3 days after it reaches the courier. Then why Lie to a customer and say it will be delivered the next day. I would have purchased it elsewhere had I known this would happen.

They slow down returns

Been a customer for many years and spent many thousands of dollars with them but when it comes time to return a faulty product they try to slow the process down in the hope that you just give up. Sales enquiries are answered within minutes but it has taken two weeks for them to do what they could have done in two days - they then had the hide to say that they were delayed because they had a long weekend - deceitful as well as deliberately slow. They have lost my business for good once I have this rectified. Ridiculous way to lose loyal customers

Their online customer service is another chat based rubbish platform.

Their online customer service is appalling, chat system when you have an issue is so slow, placed in queue with little or no movement. If you are buying something it's a different story. Treat your customers like this and they will never return, I know I will not buy another thing from them. Another company cutting costs by providing a substandard service. Just proves they don't care one bit about their customers.
