Sadly there was one specialist on the floor that was able to help
We went in search of a new Printer. Our assistant Garvit was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in our selection..he was a very polite young man..he is a great asset to your establishment. Please consider putting on more staff. This is a big store and too much to be covered by a few people.

I am also from a Retail background. You get more from your staff if you nurture their well being, instead of putting them under stress because of lack of staff quantity. We need to weigh up what we value more, making money or keeping our staff happy.

Im after a audio (aux) 6.35mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter. I couldn't find it on their website. So I thought I'd try and call them to see if they have them in store. Just got a recording message. Shouldn't be hard to talk to a real person to see if they have a product, or to see if its in stock. I decided to drive to my nearest officeworks. I asked at the checkout if they have them. The guy wasn't sure and asked someone to assist me over his headset. Waiting and waiting, no one came ( they weren't busy either). After a while I just asked a staff member as he was walking past. He said they don't stock them.

Even Bunnings sell these.
It was a waste of time. In future im going to search online and avoid Officeworks altogether.

I purchased a laptop a few days ago and visited the Garden City (4122 QLD) store to discuss a return or swap. The laptop is still in original condition, untouched, and I simply wanted to understand the policy properly.

Around 7:40pm, on 22/6/2026 the manager came over and immediately told me the policy doesn’t allow returns. I asked a few reasonable questions to understand the policy better, and from that point her attitude completely changed. Instead of explaining anything, she raised her voice, said she wasn’t responsible for the policy, and told me to call the 1300 number.

When I politely asked her not to show attitude, she became even louder — shouting from about 5 metres away in front of customers and staff. I asked her to calm down, but she kept shouting and then told me to leave the store immediately, even threatening to call the police. I told her she was welcome to call them because I had done absolutely nothing wrong, but she continued yelling while walking away.

At no point did she check the laptop, the condition, or even listen to what I was asking. I wasn’t demanding a refund — I was open to a swap for another model. She didn’t want to hear anything. The whole interaction felt dismissive, biased, and honestly discriminatory. As an immigrant who has shopped with this company for years, I’ve never been treated like this. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary.

I was even told I didn’t need her name and that mentioning the day, date, and time would be enough for them to check the roster. I strongly request that the audio and video footage be reviewed — her behaviour, tone, and gestures will speak for themselves.

I genuinely hope the company continues to grow, but respect for customers — all customers — should be the minimum standard. No one deserves to be shouted at, dismissed, or made to feel discriminated against for simply asking about a policy.

Never enough staff. Waiting ages just to collect preordered photos which defeats the purpose of preordering them. Shocking staff who look at you waiting and look away. Other staff standing around doing nothing . Appalling and dreadful customer service

I purchased two new phones online and, after one week, had received no update on my order. The tracking email provided a pickup date, so I called the Gladstone store on that day expecting the phones to be available.

Unfortunately, I was simply told that the phones were not there and that there was nothing the staff member could do to help. There was no attempt to assist, investigate the issue, or show any empathy regarding the inconvenience caused.

The following week, I contacted customer service and was advised that the matter had been escalated and that the store would be in touch. Again, no follow-up occurred and no meaningful assistance was provided.

The lack of communication, customer service, and after-sales support has been extremely disappointing. As a customer, I expected better service and accountability. My experience with the Gladstone store has been very poor and has left me with little confidence in purchasing from your company again.

Absolute worst stock management I have ever come across. Products displayed in boxes on shelves, but not available once you get to the register. Manager has no balls and does not have delegation to sell a different coloured product for the same price as the cheapest colour (Black). Belkin, also calling you out for selling different coloured product for different prices even though they have same specs. That is BS and I'm done with you all. Ebay and Amazon are far better platforms to buy from. Can't wait for your store to close and community housing be built there.

If you need constant failures and the scare of losing your hard drives connected to this trash, fill your boots. Expect your drives to go offline or not connect at all

Zero Customer support. Waited half an hour for assistance on laptop model to be purchased. Low level of technical knowledge; don't understand meaning of customer service. Misguided on product placement in the store.

​I recently purchased an item over the phone using Officeworks' Price Beat guarantee. While the initial setup seemed fine and I was promised next-day delivery, the execution was a mess.
​Shortly after my payment cleared, I received a call claiming the transaction hadn't gone through, despite the funds clearly showing as processed on my bank statement. To make matters worse, the representative insisted I needed to pay for an extended warranty that I never asked for and did not want. The following day, I received another call and had to go through the exact same argument to get the unauthorized warranty removed.
​By the time the warranty issue was finally resolved and the item was dispatched, the delay pushed the delivery into a long weekend. Because of this, my "next-day" delivery arrived a week late. Since the timing was entirely thrown off, I wasn't home to receive it, which led to even more logistical headaches trying to redirect the package which I am still yet to receive.

Always chronically short staffed.

My son purchased a Web cam and printer ink with no issues at all.
Then received an email saying his order was cancelled.
I called and the lady stated for security reasons his order was cancelled.
He now has to wait a week for his money to be returned.
Thats his pocket money he has saved up.
I asked what is the security reason she states I can't tell you why i don't know.
Poor excuse and terrible service.

I was pleased to shop at Pimpama Store as the service I received on the phone as very informative. I was shopping for 2 office chairs and the young lad on the floor was very helpful and had the time to assist with my 'old lady' questions. It was a Saturday 30/5/26. I proceeded to the check-out and a young lad served me. I went on my way ready to pick up the chairs the following day. I proceeded to finish my shopping and unfortunately could not find my card for payment. Phoned Pimpama store who politely advised the young lad that served me had found the card. Thank you very much Harper for your honestly and observation that I had left my card at the counter. The Supervisor Lady was extremely helpful when I returned to the store in a panic to collect my card. Very good experience indeed.

I have been a customer of officeworks for personal and business needs, and today i found out that they are sacking there office workers to move there jobs to India and Philippines. I won't be supporting a company like that. How horrible to do that to there staff! I will also pass this information to social media and everyone i know, you have lost me as a customer,

Worst customer experience at Officeworks.

I got passport photos taken for three family members from the Collins Street store because we were already in the city celebrating Mother’s Day. I clearly told the staff the photos were for Australian passports. Later, when trying to upload them, the photos were rejected.

I then visited the Werribee store yesterday, explained the situation properly, and even showed the rejection error message. Instead of helping, the staff member bluntly said she could not see any issue with the photos. I explained that there obviously was a problem, otherwise I would not have come back.

She then demanded all the printed photos, but 1–3 photos were not in the envelope because I had already taken them out for pasting. I requested that they simply retake the photos while I went to get the remaining prints, but she responded rudely and kept pushing for a refund instead of helping resolve the issue.

Eventually, because of her attitude and pressure, I accepted the refund. But a refund does not compensate for the wasted time, inconvenience, stress, and headache caused — especially after making multiple trips with family.

Very disappointed with both the quality of service and customer support.

Just a follow up on previous reveiw titled "will i get a refund" i have chased again today as nothing still received, and the customer service team blaming the Mentone store for not actioning an email they sent.

Went to purchase a phone handset for a home phone. There were 2 display boxes with a clearance sign showing a price of $10. Just what we wanted, 2 boxes on the same peg, not a messy area. Took it to the counter to get the item and they wanted to charge $170. Checked the price and said the person putting the boxes back must have put them both in the wrong place. Told us bad luck. Apparently I should have checked the barcode to make sure, pretty sure I don't get paid to do that. Poor customer service over their laziness

Officeworks is terrible because you cannot ring them, at any store. Why is this? JB Hifi answers their phone. Why does Officeworks think this standard part of customer service doesn’t apply to them? I want to buy an expensive iPhone and have questions, but no, I’m not allowed to ring them as they can’t be bothered to have a proper phone service! Don’t use them! Boycott them now!

Officeworks at Castle Hill team member had no knowledge or experience in taking passport photo for the purpose of the passport application. The photo came dark and had shades, for which i repeatedly asked if this was considered ok. She said with over confidence it was fine as it went through the right checks in the system. However the passport photo was rejected and I had to do it again at the Aus post. Waste of money and time. Train your staff better.

Do not use click and collect . Lots of useless emails but none that say product is ready for collection even several days later. Local store won't answer and call centre won't accept there is a problem. Avoid.
