Representative had very little product knowledge. They gave wrong advice regarding error codes, completely at odds with the technical documentation. They insisted on an explanation that was impossible and would not assist beyond the nonsensical suggestion.

My InSinkErator waste disposal unit was installed as part of a new fitted kitchen over 10 years ago. Unfortunately, the kitchen fitters never left me with the unjamming wrench that's supplied with the unit.
Recently, the disposer became jammed and, although it was well out of warranty, I contacted InSinkErator UK for advice. I was fortunate to be helped by Billy, Consumer Specialist, whose customer service was absolutely first class.
Not only did Billy clearly explain what had caused the problem and provide a helpful troubleshooting video, but he also showed genuine kindness and empathy after learning I was recovering from a hip replacement and was having difficulty climbing under the sink due to my limited mobility. His warm, caring manner was a credit to the company.
To my surprise, Billy also arranged to send me a complimentary replacement unjamming wrench as a goodwill gesture, despite the unit being over 10 years old and long out of warranty.
It's increasingly rare to receive this level of customer care these days. Billy went above and beyond, turning what could have been a frustrating experience into a very positive one. InSinkErator should be proud to have employees like him representing the company.
Highly recommended, both for the quality of their products and, more importantly, for their exceptional after-sales customer service. Thank you, Billy!

Instant Hot Water Tanks
The reliability of these Instant Hot Water Tanks needs a serious upgrade. I am already on my third unit. While the features are great when it works, having to replace it this often is unacceptable. This is my last try—if this tank fails in under three years, I will be moving to a competing manufacturer.

Boiling water tap repair
The boiler unit of our Insinkerator boiling water tap had failed and I phoned for advice. The representative was extremely helpful. She explained that the unit wouldn't be repairable (I wasn't surprised - it had given almost 7 years of continual use with no problems) and she said I'd be eligible for a 20% discount on its replacement. She also sent a video showing how to change the boiler unit. Very satisfied!
