I order a cake for anniversary and they didn’t deliver it and when i ask they said they can deliver it the next day.
So I cancelled the order when i ask about the refund they didn’t even refunded me they said they can give a coupon for me for 1 year
The worst experience i ever had with the customer service as well

I've recently had a horrible experience with this website called Indiacakes.com.

I was searching for a website that would deliver a cake to a remote location in Karnataka. Almost every website said that delivery was not possible. Except Indiacakes.com

I place my order for a huge cake>2kgs which cost me a large amount of money >4k. Please don't chide me on this, the cake was for a very special occasion, as I could not be present there due to certain circumstances.

Payment is processed, I get my order ID, everything seems fine. The next day I get an email saying that the location is far away and extra 150rs delivery charge will be applicable and until I pay that, my order will be put on hold. I pay the extra 150rs for the extra delivery cost.

The cake isn't delivered, plus I get no replies to my mails. I send multiple mails and there is no response.

I call customer service and they are so horrible that they end up disconnecting the call to my face without even solving my queries, this happens multiple times.

The next day, I get a mail replying to one of my earlier mails saying that delivery is not possible because the location is far away. Mate if the location is not under your delivery, why the did you accept the order in the first place?

The most infuriating thing is that they won't refund directly to my bank account or UPI ID, instead they want to give me some shitty coupon code for the same amount that can be used on their useless website.

Guys, beware and stay the hell away from this scam website. At this point I'm mentally preparing myself to accept the fact that my money is gone. It's hard since the amount I had saved up for the cake was almost 1/5th of my monthly salary. Please guys, stay away from this scam website and don't think of ordering anything from here no matter how desperate things get.

When you want to order a cake, its usually for an occasion. You want to stay away from any sites that taint the occasion with disputes and bad vibes due to their iwn lack of class and ethics. India Cakes is one such site.
My mom selected a cake from here with a lot of effort and carefully timed her order for it to arrive the night before my birthday.
First shock: 2+ hours after ordering and paying for it in full (because they don’t have a COD option) she receives a message asking for more money - nearly half the total price of the cake - in delivery charges. Mind you there was no such disclosure at the time of making the order. They timed this extortion late enough to leave a person out of other options for their occasion.
Shock 2: when my mom called them about this, the lady at the other end of the call - perhaps the owner - literally said "aap pagal hain" and hung up.
Shock 3: the cake, which was supposed to arrive between 8-10pm that day, didn't arrive then or the next morning or noon or afternoon. And noone answered our calls to this place. By this time everyone in the family confirmed that these are some low level scamsters as also confirmed by their reddit amd quora threads, and we should just let them have our 1000/- and enjoy their life while we can order from someone more principled and then we did.

Eventually at 4pm, the cake arrived, no explanations.

24hr late in delivery. Took extra delivery charge. Yet instead of delivering actual order,delivered a vry cheap n low quality cake and that too without any bouquet. Huge let down in service. wouldn't recommend.

Worst experience ever - A big scam
I ordered a cake in the time slot of 4-6pm. Just before the delivery that asked me for an additional money. I paid that also because I wanted it to be delivered as it was my father's birthday and they were waiting for the cake. I called them multiple times to ask for delivery and told me that they will deliver it by end of the day as it is far. Still I was ok that they will deliver it but what made it worst was that the cake never arrived and ruined the function. They had to buy another cake from the local shop. I would be ok if they would have even deliver it late but they didn't send any cake. what makes me write a negative comment is that they were making excuses that we didn't get the exact location, it was far, so and so. Not even making a refund despite paying all the payments including delivery. I would suggest don't trust this site and don't ruin your occasion.
You have already ruined my function, now at least make a refund for compensation.

1. Dark practices and patterns in delivery charges. They don't show policy regarding charges at the time of payment and then define pincode in the centre of the city as outside city limits
2. Their customer support uses abusive language and misbehaves with customers. They abused me.

These guys are scam and they will ask you extra money just 1 hour before delivery time.There is lot of good websites like Country oven.This is my first and last time with this crappy website and I will let my US friends to never trust this site.I will post the same on X and instagram too.

I ordered from IndiaCakes.com because their site promised free delivery at checkout. After I made the full payment, next day instead of delivery I got an email demanding ₹250 extra for delivery, otherwise the order won't be processed.

When I refused, they denied a refund and sent a useless coupon code instead. And their customer support omg they disconnect the call of you put your point.
This is misleading, unethical, and feels like a scam.

Please avoid this site. Use better and more reliable platforms like Ferns N Petals, Winni, or Bakingo who at least stick to their promises.

Don’t fall into the same trap. Share this so others don’t get cheated.

I ordered cake and a plant to be delivered to a close family member for their birthday but the website has utterly disappointed me by delivering the wrong products!! They also tried to extort additional money by claiming that the delivery address is outside the city whereas the product was delivered from a 2 minute walking distance of the delivery address. To make matters worse, the customer service is not just unhelpful — it's outright rude, dismissive, and clearly couldn’t care less about resolving any issues. AVOID!!

Cake was Delicious and Fresh. My son & his friends liked it.

I would recommend India Cakes to everyone, the cakes were delicious and delivery was on time

I have ordered a cake for birthday on a time slot between 11-2pm today. Checking on website with pin code, it mentioned free delivery. After the payment they sent another message asking for 275 for delivery charges which I didn’t give as they mentioned free delivery on the website. However I contacted them on phone with no effects and the chatted on the website called some Rose- ended my chat very rudely in between the conversation while I said I trusted a random website for our most auspicious day of the life.
They are not saying anything about refund too, where I have to ask them couple of times with no response on email.

Please don’t “Trust “ this website.
Do it if you want to be get cheated on. I am going to complaint about this

I have ordered cake from here and I paid whatever charges shown in their website, putting my pincode. Post they have started asking additional money on the delivery date and told they will not deliver the cake if I will not pay. Worst customer support team. After seeing their service,I have asked them to refund my money which they were not ready to do it.Finally after few weeks ,they have given one coupan code and when I have used it ,they have again started asking additional money. Indiacake is looting money from us and I am sure they will spoil your occasion because of their service. Worst service

I ordered a 1 kg cake on INDIACAKES.COM
They agreed to deliver cake between 2-4 PM. After paying ₹1019, I received a message asking for an additional ₹275 for delivery. I suspected it was a fake site. When I requested cash on delivery for this additional amount they threatened to cancel my order and said I won't get a refund. I suggested delivering a smaller cake (500g or 750g) instead of 1kg to resolve the issue, but they refused. They also didn't deliver before 4 PM as promised and informed me to deliver after 7 PM. I wasted 2 hours calling them; most calls were cut, and after threatening to file a consumer complaint, they arranged delivery through a local bakery.

Bottom Line
- *DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE*. It's likely a scam. They ask customers for extra money, don't honor agreements, and cut calls. Only after threatening consumer action did they arrange delivery. The whole experience was extremely frustrating.

Extremely Disappointed with the Service – Order #2407027764

I ordered a cake from IndiaCakes.com, and the website confirmed delivery was available to the selected PIN code. I proceeded with the booking and chose a delivery slot between 4–6 PM.

However, just 10 minutes after placing the order, I received an email demanding an additional ₹275, claiming the delivery address was “far from their center.” Despite my concerns, I contacted customer service and paid the extra amount, hoping they would at least deliver on time.

But things only got worse.

Despite multiple attempts to reach them via chat, the cake was finally delivered around 8:00 PM, well past the scheduled time.

To make matters worse, the cake had collapsed and melted by the time it arrived. The presentation was completely ruined, and the experience was a huge disappointment.

This was by far one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had. I strongly urge others to avoid ordering from IndiaCakes. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and not worth the stress especially when planning something special.

PIN code was provided prior to the delivery, and your system confirmed it as deliverable. We are unsure how your website accepted the order blindly without validating the delivery feasibility. We did not mention anywhere the delivery place is Madurai.

This incident has caused me personal embarrassment and disappointment, especially after spending extra for a simple half kg cake that was delivered in bad condition and delayed 2 hours from the confirmation time. A casual "sorry for the inconvenience" doesn't help those of us who work hard and try to bring a little joy to our loved ones on special occasions.

If a delivery is not possible, please do not accept the order. Don’t mislead people and raise false hopes.

I sincerely advise others to consider alternate services instead of India Cakes, based on this experience.

As several complained, I fell in this trap too.. they accepted the order to deliver the cake on time, but they ruined the entire celebration and started demanding additional money to deliver the cake while in the order they clearly mentioned it is a free delivery and is included in the order..... guess what .... after several attempts to reach out to them, I was informed they will not deliver the cake as it is far from the delivery location, as a matter of fact its a lie, the location is in the middle of the city probably their bakery is in the outskirts ... I am not sure why they come back for additional money to deliver the cake after accepting the order.. bottom line THESE IDIOTS RUINED THE CELEBRATION, dont promise if you cannot fulfill.. the family at both ends are totally upset, it should havebeen a happy day ended up with a big disappointment
