I switched our charities savings account to HTB as their rates were much better than my current bank. I also found the switching process really easy, with minimal bureaucracy.

Problem with identity verification
I tried to open a joint term investment account with my partner. The problem occurred with her trying to verify her identity, an activity she did without problems (with exactly the same documents) with another banking institution.
I am unclear about the processes used by HTB so difficult to make comment on what has failed here. If AI is being used verify documents (in photo format) then it may be possible that the image cannot be reviewed. But the document in question here was clearly legible to my partner and I when we reviewed it

Used Hampshire for business savings
Used Hampshire for business savings, (not personal).
With business savings, there is no online access to statements and you have to phone up for statements to be posted out. Having had to do this a few times, it's disappointing how often the wrong statement is posted or not at all.
They really need to invest in giving business savers on-line access now.
Apart from that, happy to recommend and would use again if rates were market leading.
P.s. Since original posting,I have spoken with Hampshire Trust who inform me that for new business savings accounts that on line access is finally available. That will make things much better from here.
I have a personal savings account with on line access already and have never had any issues with that and in fact would highly recommend for the market leading rates.

Good for community business fund holding
We use HTB to keep our community project funds in an interest bearing account. The major banks are poor for this purpose, it was great to deal with HTB - simple process and a fair return.

The HTB has been a very positive experience for us. They have been straightforward to deal with, quick in their responses to queries and open our accounts without any delay once they were satisfied after all the checks they are compelled to do.

All right in the end. But not easy.
It took so long that I had to phone them. When I did. The customer service person said I would have to start again. I sent a complaint in because I thought that was ridiculous. They found my application and sorted it out. So all ok in the end, but not a happy experience.
