I switched our charities savings account to HTB as their rates were much better than my current bank. I also found the switching process really easy, with minimal bureaucracy.

Trying to open an easy access…
I am trying to open an easy access savings a/c. Firstly, after completing all the application requirements and setting up the id and password, when I used it and it didn't work, I was told I had to do another id number. This I did but although I've tried 4 or 5 times, can't find any "pay-in" buttons. I have sent secure messages (2) but so far no reply or help. The contacts I have managed to get so far have been good and helpful. HTB have been helpful to me and it's all sorted and the investment completed. I still think that the application form is not clear for folk like me who haven't been brought up with the internet. For instance, on the NS&I forms there are "transfer", "withdraw" and "pay-in" buttons, which is easy to follow .

Very good service
The opening of the account and rates were good and transfers went smoothly with good communication. The whole procedure felt secure and informative. Pity about the limits on amounts for transfer - but that's not HTB's problem!

It was easy to set up the 5 year…
It was easy to set up the 5 year bond,the interest rate is good & I can take the interest each year which is what I wanted . The only issue was I was asked to log in to my account for important infomation & when I did there was nothing I needed there?? As its a 5year bond and interest is paid to my regular Bank Account I dont need to log on.
You are not alone with this many companys banks etc want you to do this or have there app when we we don't nessessary need these things for our needs

Prepare to be woken in the early hours...
I have had a savings account with this bank for about 12 months. Opening and operating the account has been entirely online, and everything has been trouble free.
So why only three star? Because the bank 's automated system likes to send SMS text notifications in the early hours of the morning (around 02.30 am). I have contacted the bank about this, but while suitably apologetic, they write that this is beyond their control. Personally I think that accepting that their system disturbs customers at such an antisocial hour is a strange way to do business.

Fast,efficient , friendly and responded to my request for an email statement for a HMRC return without hammering me with technical terms that I wouldn’t be able to understand.The call handler even asked me if I needed one for the last financial year !!!!!
