Online access made it easy to open a new club account with a competitive saving rate

THERE HAS TO BE A REASON WHY IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO ACCESS SOMETHING SO SIMPLE. I HAD A TEXT TO STATE I SHOULD CHECK MY ONLINE MESSAGES, SO I DID….BUT NO MESSAGE!!!! SO I HAVE PUT IN AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT NOW. READ BELOW TO KNOW HOW THIS SIMPLE REQUEST HAS ESCALATED
I REQUESTED TAX STATEMENT FOR MATURED ACCOUNT. IT HAD AUTOMATICALLY ROLLED OVER INTO AN EASY ACCESS. THE REPLY WAS I HAD TO DO
THIS MYSELF, BUT NOT POSSIBLE AS THE ACCOUNT DOES NOT SHOW ON CLOSED OR PRESENT ACCOUNT. I CONTACTED THEM, BUT THE SITE HAD A PROBLEM AND TOLD ME TO TRY LATER! I AM SO SICK OF THE CONSTANT PING PONGING BACK AND FORTH OVER THE MOST SIMPLE REQUEST. ANOTHER DAY. ANOTHER OFFICIAL COMPLAINT.

I received three emails from HTB confirming that my account was set up along with account number and login passwords etc.
however I never set up any account - I live outside UK and have never had dealings with HTB. The account included an additional name not known to me.
I have now contacted HTB on three occasions and have yet to have a response.
They clearly don’t consider this especially concerning whereas I certainly do.

Overall it was okay opening an account however HTB did take weeks to respond to anything and yet once the account was opened I received several emails reminding me that I hadn't put any money into the account and they would close it within 14 days of opening. They can respond when it suits!

Easy to set up.

An improvement would be the ability to apply for other HTB accounts once signed in. We want a fixed rate 1 year account for a lump sum but we have to apply when NOT signed in. Therefore you have to answer questions that have already been answered. Very tedious.

Otherwise it’s great. I’ve great feature is having just one nominated account so hackers can’t divert money.

Superb start to finish. Ahead of other banks by a mile in terms of speed to open the account and customer service. For business savings they are the clear winner.

Excellent rates, Simple to set up. portal is clear and concise.

This bank has turned out to be a nightmare for myself. I had a six month account with them . the money has been transferred to an instant access account. I was promised my money would be paid into my nominated bank yesterday it has not been paid. I’ve had nothing but problems with this bank. I can’t log into my account and customer service have been no help at all I’m having dreadful problems getting my money from them. I shall phone them again today problem started several weeks ago and they are still not sorted. I find this bank untrustworthy and that’s why I want to be free of them and just get my money back. stay away from this bank don’t let them make your life a misery.

Cant fault them so far, straightforward process to set up a bond. Have access easily online, so far so good.

Very easy and good product

I found getting in contact by phone very difficult- long waits of an hour and then only to get cut off and have to repeat again. On finally speaking to someone they weren't really interested and quite sloppy in their approach. Then found the account was still locked meaning needing to call again. Also, you keep needing to call them as they lower their interest rates and when they put them back up they don't let you know- meaning you stay on a low rate unless you continually check and call them up (and struggle to get through) Overall, not a great experience.

I had a lot of questions which they answered very promptly

It was easy enough to set up the account, the actual account meets our needs at the moment

Excellent bank! Speedy setup of a business savings account, exactly what we'd expect as a small business. HTB were far more efficient and faster than the high street competitors, where the identity verification process and hand-signature process can go on for weeks, and take up unnecessary admin time for a small business
