Opened 3 business savings accounts with different institutions to take advantage of the best instant access savings rates and use the protection provided under the FSCS. HTB offered not only the best rate but opened the account in the shortest time with no fuss.

Interest bearing current type account that pays interest for a business - easily set up early days but is working fine

sloppy and slow - website awful, really hard to find documents or messages due to terrible design. Interest statement doesn't provide a total nor a tax year reference. Sloppy documents at maturity -system doesn't record maturity instructions so you keep getting incorrect emails, get conflicting documents and texts. Still awaiting maturity payment which has apparently been sent.

Complaint fobbed off with a load of babble and compensation refused.

The interest rate offered is much better than other banks offer charities. I found the information available clear and thorough. The details about how the accoint would operate convinced me thatbthe company was well run and reliable. When i eventually applied for an account the process was much easier than I feared. When I had some difficulties the member of staff assisting me was thorough and effective in helping me. The online systems are easy to use.

HTB 6mth bond application worked really well. there were a couple of queries but there were people on the end of the phone who could help!
Comparison: the HTB account was opened on 12 August, one week on and the two other banks to whom we applied on the same day haven't completed their checks yet!

simple smooth opening an account and transactions are seemless

I have previously had a savings account with HTB. When I needed to transfer some money back to another account, the only way I could find to do it was to close the account.

I decided to give HTB another go, but I was unable to setup a new account from scratch. Logging in with my old credentials, I could not setup a new savings account.

I contacted HTB and was advised to start from scratch (which I had tried). Also to try different browsers. Again nothing worked. An endless cycle of putting a registration number in with consequent failure.

I have now given up. I will stick with Nationwide.

Tried to uptdate my new bank details today but HTB reckon they were unable to see one of the oldest and biggest banks in the uk.I asked them to contact the bank in question but they flatly refused and said it was down to me.Bearing in mind I am 74 and have mental health issues I found this appalling service, I have never had any problems with any other savings insitute changing bank details even if you have just changed banks using the switch service, all they ask is for a bank sort code and an account number, but not HTB, THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL -the worst in the UK without a doubt!!!!!

I thought the reviews about poor service must be exaggerated.. sadly they're not. HTB are like a startup without any customer experience.

Account opening process is manual forms - as we were onboarding our second signatory I got a message "your account has now been closed". Reason: we'd digitally signed the second signatory form.

You'd think a simple misunderstanding, yes? Easily solvable by a quick email clarification, either on the form itself or after the form was returned. Sadly not ... simply "you made an error so we closed your account".

Life is too short to deal with numpties. HTB Bank team : worth taking a look at successful fintech startups and reflecting on who you want to be.

The account application process was straight-forward and easy to follow.

Easy to set up; clean, clearly-designed website with all the info (eg tax certs) easily accessible. Equally easy to close account and get money back.

Appalling service.
I transferred £110,000 to the bank on Friday by CHAPS. From my building society.
My error it had to come from my nominated bank account. They said they would return it and I had to resend it.
They have failed to return it after 6 days.!!
Three errors on their part the last using a method not suitable for that amount of money missing off references and getting the details wrong.
I have now spoken to a very rude member of staff. They say that they have rung they have not. Very disappointing.

I was impressed by the very helpful and engaging telephone customer service. It is rather daunting opening a new account with a bank one is not familiar with but they make the process straightforward. Thank you.

I wasn’t in a position to direct where my funds go after maturity. HTB helpfully put it in a low interest “instant access” account. Great. Except now I can’t get my funds out because I don’t have a nominated account, but I can’t add a nominated account on the “updated” portal. I tried calling the customer services number during their opening times and I am sent to voicemail. The prerecorded greeting message talks about how great the new portal is and how it means one doesn’t need to call now. So I tried submitting a message via the portal, only to receive an error message saying the functionality isn’t working. In sum, I can’t get my savings out of the account and have no way of contacting them to sort it out. Wonderful.

Online access made it easy to open a new club account with a competitive saving rate
