I had several problems with the installation and tried the different interfaces. The support desk helped me to find out that we had a DOA case. They were very helpfull to assembly and formulate the right information for the vendor.
All fine now.
Great support.

Had an issue with a Homey Pro which was out of guarantee period.
Even despite that it was repaired (SW flash) by Homey for free !
Where do you now a days find this kind of great support?

Der Homey Pro ist universell einsetzbar und nicht an einen Hersteller gebunden. Er unterstützt alle gängigen Formate. Man kann sehr komplexe Steuerungen für sein Smart Home erstellen, ohne programmieren zu müssen. Die Software wird ständig weiter entwickelt und es kommt immer noch weitere Hardware dazu, die unterstützt wird. Auch setzt Homey auf den neuen Matter Standar und ist damit für die Zukunft gerüstet.

I am very disappointed from Homey Pro (2026). I thought I would buy a system that supported a large number of devices, but I was wrong. It's an overpriced system that misleads users with false promises of 'plug and play' and stability. Homey uses applications to support various devices. There are some "official" closed-source apps that are supported by Athom and are updated very rarely. Most of my Aqara devices aren't supported, despite numerous requests to the support team. There is no integration for the Reolink doorbell, and many Tuya devices are also unsupported. Key features are missing and virtual devices rely on an unsupported app. I have a glowing, useless box in my living room.

I’m very happy with my Homey Pro from Athom. The device gives me the flexibility to create a large number of workflows, which really elevates my smart home setup. The support team is fast, attentive to customer needs, and always helpful in finding solutions.

Fast answer and helpfull support

I had been wanting to take my basic smart home to the next level. So I bought the homey pro hub and was very impressed. It's easy to set up and easy enough for beginners to use but also advanced enough for experienced smart home users to make advanced flows.
As it's Matter compatible, there are 100's of devices what work with homey.
I did have a technical issue with the hub, but Homey were very quick to respond and got things going again. This gives me confidence in using Homey for the long term.
I highly recommend Homey.

Ik heb Homey Pro nu zo'n 7 jaar. Ik ben langzaam aan het overstappen naar Z-Wave. Homey is te vaak teleurstellend. Het is meestal niet mogelijk een nieuw apparaat aan te melden zonder dat ik de Homey moet loskoppelen en vlakbij het Z-Wave-apparaat moet zetten. Het is ongelooflijk slecht in het beheren van signalen bij het koppelen. Ik moet vaak te diep in de technische tools werken om zaken opgelost te krijgen. Homey is zeker geen prutswerk, maar absoluut niet voor de leek en omslachtiger dan ze bij Homey aangeven.

For me is Homey the must smart light controller, I can controll all my Phillips Hue light and dimmers and plugs and more other lights I have in my house… in my new little house I only have about 50 units but in my earlier house I have more than 100 pcs and it is so easy than change flows and add and delete in the Homey app. I can only say that if you like light in a smart way so you must buy a Homey pro box… if you need support so send an email to Athom in Nederland so they will reply you very quickly

bought a Homey Pro two weeks ago and reached out to customer service to share some suggestions and feedback. The process was really easy, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the responses were—it genuinely made me happy.

As for the Homey Pro itself, I’m still learning, but I do have one suggestion in case the Homey team sees this:
It would be great to have more in-depth tutorials focused on advanced flows and complex scenarios. The current YouTube videos aren’t quite enough in my opinion.

I’ve been a long-time Home Assistant user and still think it’s a great platform, but over time I started looking for something more reliable and simple to manage, especially for complex automations.

With Homey Pro (Early 2023) I’ve found exactly that:
• Very high reliability in daily use
• The Advanced Flow editor makes it surprisingly easy to build complex automations in a visual way
• When I need more power, HomeyScript lets me create advanced logic without losing the overall simplicity of the system

Homey has now become the central hub of my smart home, and I actually prefer it over Home Assistant for my main setup because it combines power with ease of use.

On top of that, the customer service is outstanding – fast, clear, and solution-oriented, honestly on the same level as my best experiences with Apple support.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with both the product and the support team and can confidently recommend Homey Pro to anyone who wants a serious, yet user-friendly smart home platform.
