Extremely disappointing experience with this company.

I ordered wardrobes which arrived damaged after being left outside in the rain without any protective covering and without being placed on a raised surface. I then had to wait an entire week for the company to collect them.

During that week, the damaged wardrobes were taking up a huge amount of space in my dining room and sitting room, meaning we could not properly use either room.

The collection process was also extremely poorly organised. Rather than contacting me to arrange a suitable collection time, I was simply told when they intended to collect them. The delivery/collection company made one phone call to me, which I happened to miss, and did not call back. When I tried to contact them myself, my calls were not answered.

There was very little effort made to communicate with me apart from a text message, which I still have as a record.

For a company dealing with large items such as wardrobes, I would expect much better communication, more professional handling of damaged goods, and a considerably faster collection service. Having damaged wardrobes sitting in my home for a full week because the company could not organise their collection properly was completely unacceptable.

If there’s a better delivery service in Ireland I’ve yet to meet them. Homedel.ie were truly professional. They texted in advance to see if the proposed date was suitable, and then phoned at 8.30am on the agreed morning to tell me the time of delivery. It was an extremely tight fit getting the furniture suite into the lift and on through a couple of doors. The delivery crew, Jordan and Nathan were extremely patient and persevered throughout. They are excellent ambassadors for Homedel and they place a huge focus on meeting and exceeded customer expectations. They finished the job assembling the legs and other parts that needed to be removed in the process. Great job!

Great service, they texted me to confirm delivery date and also on delivery day they rang me to let me know estimated time of delivery, arrived on time, I ordered sofa so they brought sofa straight in to my seating room, I was very happy

We had a sofa and two mattresses delivered today. We received notification for day of delivery then another notification of time of delivery. Fast efficient service would highly recommend. The lads were very polite and friendly.

I ordered a wardrobe and bedside table from JYSK at Tallaght and was delighted with the service. They texted me on February 7th to confirm delivery for the 10th, which I found very helpful.

Homedel.ie handled the delivery and messaged early that morning with a time frame of 9am–12 noon. The order arrived at 10am, which was perfect as I was working at 12. Everything was well wrapped and arrived in excellent condition.

Both companies communicated well and provided a smooth experience.

Outstanding Service from Cormac and Daniel today. They took away our old sofa (no easy task) and delivered the new sofa with expertise & professionalism. Nothing was a problem as they installed our new sofa and they were so courteous and helpful. Just had my sofa delivered by two of the nicest, most helpful guys I've met in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I'm in a small house and they even took the old sofa outside for me.
I'm so grateful and can't thank them enough.

Got a Dreams.ie bed delivered by this company. Had to contact Dreams as my delivery was overdue. However, within 24 hours, I got a reply from HomeDel to let me know that it would be delivered in 2 days time as they were in the area. A day before the delivery date, I got contacted again about the timeframe that they would arrive on the delivery day. They did deliver my bed within the timeframe on the selected day. And they also took my bed upstairs and disposed of the old dismantled bed frame. Communication was excellent with this company. Couldn't fault them.

10 day's after been given a date for delivery item's finally arrived, not the crew's fault. But never again. Clarification needed so review stays up,orders two chairs from jysk 6th March on the 7th homers text me to say delivery for Saturday the 9th no show ,contacted jysk again they said items had not been collected,waited and waited arrived today 19 th March .

Had a few items delivered recently via HomeDel on different occasions and never had a problem. From the ladies who contacted me to arrange my delivery date to the drivers that delivered, I’m always kept updated on times or if I need to reschedule it is never an issue and try to accommodate as best as they can.

I can’t understand a few of the previous reviews as I noticed they are mostly from UK customers, and even from the US.. Correct me if I am wrong, but this is for Homedel in Ireland, not the UK or US, which looks to be a different company & are receiving wrongful reviews. These should be verified first??

Had my sofa delivered today 16/01/24
we requested to take off their shoes didn't do that due health and safety then why not put a shoe bag over the shoes, like when the meter reading person comes, no time slot is given, the driver phone near the time. This delivery company has no regards to the customers belives or there property, my door frame is damage. I'll also contact DFS customer services to why they have this agency delivery? Now next time I want to delivery I'll ask Purchasing company who they delivery agency is? If it's wshomedel I'll take my custom elsewhere.

Mathew and Mark were Amazing.They called me half an hour before delivery of our sofa and arrived on time.They were very professional.Theu made sure that the carpets will not be soiled by using a blanket to cover it. Fitted the sofa quickly in the place I wanted it to be. Took out the rubbish and cardboard for disposal. They were perfect!!!

This company is the worst delivery company you will come across. Avoid at all cost, there liars and completely and totally unhelpful.

If I could give 0 I would. Arranged for a delivery and received a drop call once. Called back the unknown number twice and left a voice message in which no one contacted me. Called the office to ask what had happened. Said they would get back to me. When they did they said the driver called me 6 times, which they did not... had knocked on the door, I live in a maisonette so buzzing is the only option and waited 10mins. All this to be told beforehand by a member of staff in the office that if a driver cannot contact a customer then they contact the office to get in contact with the customer.... this never happened, so what kind of communication was happening? No one bloody knows. I was then told repeatedly that they followed the correct procedures and process?!?! I have no sofa in my house and no outcome of when they will next deliver. Terrible customer service and disgusted by the blatant lie told. Because I'm obviously going to waste a whole day to earn money losing money instead. Complaint raised with both them and dfs (who was much more helpful and understandable) if i need to I will be taking this much further as the call logs will prove of what I was told and what was not done!

UPDATE:
13th December I called back to speak with a manager and ended up speaking to customer service rep called Hallie (Hayley) not sure the spelling sorry.
And she was absolutely lovely!!! She was an absolute help, gave me answers was completely understanding and explained the situation in great detail but was able to arrange a delivery for the Friday am. Would keep in contact with me personally as I said I am scared that it would happen all over again. She was brilliant! If I had her to speak with beforehand I would not of needed to raise the complaint in the first place. She is a jem to your company! If all goes smoothly on Friday I will change the low star rating to atleast a 3. But only because of her, she deserves a full 5 stars for her great service👍🏽
