I have had two habitation checks completed through HabCheck. The first seemed ok but after the second I am also doubtful of that. For the second I booked in early April and the first engineer turned up and looked at my van and said "do you know where the leisure battery is?". My van is a CamperKing conversion and therefore plentiful on the market. The engineer made a call or two and then offered to do the check without the leisure batteries being tested. I decided not to proceed and ask for someone who did. The second engineer arrived when I was working and I had family let him get on with the job. When I got home I checked the van to find cupboard doors left open, the glass panels covering the job and sink left up, the pull chords for the pop top left dangling, the fridge unventilated and, worst of all the gas wasn't isolated. It seemed in a way that the engineer had rushed off. Having sent all this information to my HabCheck contact on April 17th, I was informed to go through the complaints process (which was to send all the same info to a slightly different email address, annoying that no ownership was being taken over the complaint). Having followed the instructions I was told it had all been forwarded to their engineer for response, I think this is when I realize this company is just a go between.....however I read the complaints procedures and dulu gave the engineer EIGHT weeks to reply, which he didn't. On June 24th I then chased the company again for a response and they told me that the engineer would be in touch. It was then that they also informed me that the measure battery had never actually been checked! I still never received any communication from the engineer despite being told on the 1st July that the engineer had made several attempts to contact me, I had neither an email nor a voicemail so unless he just tried to call and then hung up I dispute this and also state that it's not good enough as most calls from unknown numbers these days are spam and I didn't have any number leaving multiple missed calls. Overall an extremely poor service. The company have claimed I got a reduced rate at the discretion of the engineer on the day as he said "there wasn't as much to do", I take it this is in regards to the leisure battery but at first I was told it was because I had booked a LWB check instead of a SWB check. I can assure you my van is LWB. The communication from he company, which they have admitted in two emails, has been abysmal but I have still not been offered any compensation.

Sam arrived in plenty of time, introduced herself and explained what was required and what she would do. Set herself up and got cracking. As things developed she explained her findings making it clear for me to understand.
Having completed her work she fully explained the results before completing a comprehensive written report making sure I had received a copy before leaving.

Our Hab check was undertaken today by Gary - he was very thorough and also explained everything too.
He's also a friendly and approachable chap, which is always a bonus when dealing with any company.
The whole process from start to finish was really easy, and everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful.

Gary Low the engineer arrived on time, was extremely efficient, profesional and friendly and took the time to answer any questions I had.
This was the second occasion that Gary has carried out a habcheck on my van and I would highly recommend him.
Habcheck provide a reliable service and kept me informed with regards to attendance times and engineer details.

This is the third year that I have used HabCheck and the third time that I have had the same operator to complete the check.

I can't judge him against others but what I can say is that Tom Wright is the one that I trust to look after our motorhome. Always polite, always chatty, always professional and so quick to hand out excellent free advice.

The check is always completed in a timely manner and is accompanied by a full written report.

I had initially booked a check to be completed in May but this had to be postponed due to an unforeseen issue with our motorhome. HabCheck were excellent and kept in touch with me on a regular basis and subsequently arranged the appointment that was convenient to me.

An all round excellent service and I would recommend.

Communication etc with the booking was first class. However the engineer did not fill us with confidence. He was a bit standoffish. My husband felt uncomfortable with him. He was also trying to test things with the master switch off !!!! My husband pointed this out to him. When we received the report from you there were a couple of fails that he didn’t bother to explain to us before he left. I would use them again but request a different engineer.

Brilliant company fantastic service

I would recommend Hab Check to anyone looking for a thorough service on your caravan/ motor home. The booking process online was easy and the Engineer arrived on time.

The Engineer (Tim) was professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, because I am a first time caravan owner. At the end of the check, he patiently answered my list of further questions before leaving to write up the report

Used this service for our warranty hab check on our 2025 autotrail motorhome. From booking to actual check was a breeze everyone was so friendly helpful and polite. Engineer David was just so helpful and knowledgeable and extremely polite and friendly. Cannot fault a single thing.
