I’m still waiting for a resolution and would strongly advise others to AVOID purchasing from this company based on my experience.

I placed my order almost two months ago, and at this point I am genuinely questioning whether this is a legitimate business. The level of customer service and communication has been extremely poor throughout the entire process.

Despite multiple attempts to contact the company via WhatsApp and email, my messages have either been ignored completely or answered only after unreasonable delays. This lack of communication is unacceptable and has caused significant frustration.

What is also concerning is that their social media presence appears to be extremely limited or inactive, making it even more difficult to get transparency or accountability from the company.

As I have still not received a satisfactory resolution, I am now escalating this matter with my payment provider.

Avoid avoid avoid scam scam scam still trying since March to speak to anyone from the company £275 for a small dinning table which I never received. I am taking this a lot further I won’t let it go

Very poor customer service .
Table was not assembled correctly , they had agreed to send some once to fix the issue .No one turned up on the agreed dates .
They have a watsapp number, but no one bothers to reply .
Please stay away from this company .

Failed to deliver my dining table twice, eventually they tried to say that the product was damaged by the couriers. Communication is absolutely shocking, had I not consistently chased a delivery date the company will never let you know. Wasted two days just waiting around for an order that was never arriving! Phone lines are supposedly busy however they will never answer or call you back. Eventually got a refund. This company is clearly a fluke. Avoid if you want to save your sanity!

I paid through PayPal in February for a dining set - didn’t receive in the time frame expected so I decided to cancel.
I received an email from Katie indicating that my refund would be processed and I would receive it within 7-10 days.
However I didn’t so I contacted PayPal to raise a complaint.
I expected that PayPal would do their job and get my hard earned money back… unfortunately esme furnishings had other ideas and have decided to give false tracking and delivery information to PayPal which has in turn prompted FURTHER investigations.

Unfortunately as much as I’m praying that these scamming whatever they call themselves gets stopped before they steal anyone else’s money, I just know that other people will fall victim to them.

How they sleep at night baffles me but hey what goes around comes around I guess….

The marble table looks stunning and arrived in perfect condition. I'm really pleased with the craftmanship and overall finish. Considering it's genuine marble. the value feels excellent and it honestly turned out even better than I expected.

Absolutely nightmare since I ordered my table and chairs in Dec 2025 and still on going now! Had the wrong one delivered was told i would get the correct one in Jan 26, then was told be end of Feb then it finally came in March, was told the other one would be taken away! Its still sat here in my kitchen!! We are now in May! Communication is disgusting! After they asked me to dispose of it myself they offered me £40 to do this at first. Cost me £220 to dispose of it in the end as I was told they would refund me the funds if i take down my bad review, if i didnt take it down they wouldnt send me my refund. I took the review down and told them. After chasing them multiple times, Have i got the refund ? No I bloody haven't. And ive had enough. Every time I email they now dont reply. Every time I phone says phone line is busy! So now writing a 3rd bad review and this time they ask me to take it down its a NO!! You lie!

Ordered a sofa on January 3rd 2026. After several failed promised deliveries I lost faith and eventually requested cancellation and refund at the end of April but from then on I got no reply whatsoever from Esme Furnishings. I then passed the complaint onto Klarna. In all fairness the total refund happened much quicker than I anticipated once I submitted the complaint to Klarna. But all considered, my dealings with Esme Furnishings highlighted more than bad Customer Service, it felt like a scam.

Still awaiting refund after 7-14days they promised. Now filing a complaint and contacting credit card company to obtain my refund. Will be writing to the umbudmans on their trading practices.

Where do I even start with this company!!! Do not give them your money! “I personally had a very poor and shocking experience and would not use this company again.”
Ordered a fireplace beginning of dec said 7 days for delivery had to chase and finally received delivery just before xmas a month later fire place became faulty. They offered to send me a motor out to replace myself the video they sent showing how to do it shows wires having to be taken off and re wired I advised I wasn’t happy to do this as we were not an electrician and didn’t want to void warranty. i have never in my life herd of having to fix an item yourself that has gone faulty so soon after receiving it. After back and forward of emails and speaking to someone that wouldn't let me get a word in edge ways and kept calling me mam they offered to return for refund but only if in original packaging which we didn’t have as we intended to keep the item before it went faulty as I pointed out to them who just keeps random 60inch boxes in there house it would take up most of the room ridiculous expectation. I became aware of there reviews at this point so also felt worried if we returned the item we woudnt see a penny of our refund and it looks like in reading most of these reviews my suspicion was correct. they said they could refund me £90 to get an electrician to fit it. Contacted my electrician who advised against this as void warranty and shouldn't have to do this ourselves plus it wasn’t a job he was willing to take on. Again back and forwards on emails all I wanted was a replacement sent as we had built our wall around the fire but for what ever reason unknown to me they were not able to do this. This all rung Alarm bells! What company cannot just replace a faulty item. Many times I asked them why they couldn't replace it and they avoided answering the question after many more emails back and forth they said if I wanted a replacement I would have to pay an additional £200. Why?? They again never answered this question. This company is just a joke, and unprofessional. Had to raise a charge back through the bank and after months of fighting finally got my money back. They disputed the charge back and were not true-full on the information they provided to my bank I obviously kept everything so was able to send them documentation to confirm this which seriously helped my case. I urge everyone with issues to apply for a charge back keep email proof and also show them all these trust pilot reviews I think these helped me also to win my case against this so called company. I can only hope no one else orders from this absolute sham of a company and they go bust!!!’

Update I have since received a threatening email and have forwarded this to the police.

If I could put zero stars I would. Ordered a table from Esme, 3 weeks passed and no sign of it. Emailed them to be assured it was coming the following week. No sign of the table so emailed again and they said the delivery company had damaged the table and would I like a refund or to wait 4 months until they got them in stock again. Asked for refund. That was two weeks ago and no sign of refund. Avoid this company at all costs.

Terrible… ordered a fire place 2 months ago…. Get fobbed off saying it’s held up in delivery office and still not arrived.

If I could give 0 star I would. Ordered 4th Jan still not received. Advised delivery date didn't recieve. Contact again not response. After alot of contacting I was advised another delivery date. Still not recieved. Now no communication at all no response and no table.

The lack of communication and customer service has been absolutely appalling. All you receive are automated replies and constant excuses.

I placed an order for barstools on 1st April, and it’s now 8th May — the items still haven’t arrived. I’ve repeatedly been told the items were sent to the wrong depot and that delivery would supposedly happen “next week.”

I requested a refund on 23rd April and was told a full refund would be processed within 7–10 days. I am STILL waiting for that refund weeks later.

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience from start to finish. Please do not buy from this company unless you want to deal with poor communication, delays, excuses, and unresolved refunds.

We're very pleased with the side table. It arrived on schedule, and the regular updates kept us well informed. Overall, a smooth experience and easy to recommend.

Even having to leave one star, I feel insulted.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The company are very quick with communication when they want your money however when waiting for your goods to turn up communication becomes none existent.
Their phone line doesn’t work because they can’t be bothered to pick up, they don’t respond to emails. The only way to make contact is via WhatsApp but that’s when they can be bothered to respond.
If you attempt to ring the mobile number used for WhatsApp they will just block your number so you’re unable to make contact via this channel.
Arranged a delivery date however this was never true as the goods were never sent to me.
With the little communication I did receive from this vile company I was told ‘I am a rude person’ and ‘I am just being difficult’.
This came from the truth, they are scammers, they do not communicate. If you are able to take innocents peoples hard earned money and then treat them in this manner I will absolutely state how disgusting this behaviour is.
Absolutely awful company having spent over £700 where the goods were you never received, frustration is going to occur when ongoing lies keep getting told to you. ‘Your goods are being delivered Wednesday’ ‘our team will send this across’.

If Stephen the manager wishes to leave an update under this review as he appears to have done that on other innocent ‘customers’ reviews I hope the reasoning for his staff responding to ‘customers’ in such foul terms is answered and why professionalism is not being highlighted to them. This is a manager who can’t even answer a phone will quote the email address which never gets answered.

Awful company to deal with. Communication only via email which takes days to respond to each time. Item delayed & still awaiting promised refund. I have had to dispute & raise a chargeback with my credit card company.

Really impressed with the overall service, and the item itself is genuinely beautiful. It looks even better in person and feels well made.

I would advise people to be very careful when dealing with ESME Furnishings. Please do not be misled by the positive reviews you may see online.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with ESME Furnishings.

I paid for an order which has not been delivered. Following this, I made repeated attempts over the course of more than one month to contact the company via email, telephone, and WhatsApp. These communications were ignored, with no response or update provided.

It was only after escalating the matter through Shopify that I received a reply. At that point, I was assured that delivery would take place within two weeks. This assurance has not been honoured, and no further communication has been received since.

At the time of writing, I remain without the goods I paid for and without any clear resolution.

I strongly advise potential customers to conduct their own due diligence before making any payment.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I am now considering further action to recover my funds.

Really impressed with the quality of the product. Delivery was fast, and customer support was friendly and responsive.

Everything arrived exactly as described, and the whole process felt straightforward and hassle-free.
