Pick up am Flughafen Thessaloniki hat geklappt, auch spät abends und trotz Unwetters und Verspätung der Flüge. Ich musste etwas länger warten als andere, da meine Abholer irgendwo im Stau standen. :-) Na Hauptsache, es hat geklappt. Anmietung freundlich und schnell. Man bekommt keine Kopie der Mängelliste, wie anderswo. Schäden waren im Dunkeln und bei strömenden Regen sowieso schwer zu erkennen. Ich hatte Glück. Gutes Auto, nichts passiert, keine Extra-Versicherung bezahlt, Kaution wiederbekommen. Für Schlammspritzer außen, etwas Krümel und Sand drinnen wurde das Auto für schmutzig erklärt und ich musste 25 Euro extra zahlen. Es war mir neu, dass ich ein super sauberes Auto zurückgeben muss. Aber vielleicht steht das irgendwo in den kleingedruckten Vetragsbedingungen, die ich nie richtig lese.

Une agence de voleurs qui vous facture des surcoûts. Publicité mensongère indiquant que la voiture est à retirer à l'aéroport alors qu'il fait prendre une navette.

The car was almost new en we get a upgrade for a larger car for the same price.So that was nice! But ..the women who helped us was not customer friendly and noticed really every small scratch she could found!! So for sure we make also a lot of pictures before we leave...
We booked the car with a complete insurance, but still she was trying to sell a extra insurance because in her opinion the car was not 100% insured. Finally when we come back after two weeks the car was dirty. She complaint that we had to wash the car.She cannot see it there are more, new scratches on the car! She really takes a towel to clean the whole car, especially looking for new scratches...After 15 minutes she thought she had found a new scratch... She told me we have to inform the insurance company. As i told my wife has taken pictures when we picked up the car so it was possible for us to show her the scratch was still there! This was the first and the last time we rent a car by Drive in Crete! Very customer unfriendly and not a nice way to go home! Don't believe all the positive reviews from the big car rental companies for example Auto Europe and Discover Cars!!

Wir haben über Booking.com das Auto am Flughafen Thessaloniki für 10 Tage gemietet.
Die unverschämten Herren der Autovermietung teilten uns mit, dass unser Mietwagen nicht vesichert sei 930€ Kaution einbehalten wird bei einem Schaden und wir sollten diese abschließen sonst können wir den Wagen nicht übernehmen. Ich hatte bei Booking.com den Komplettschutz gebucht was diese Herren nicht interessieren. Da es schon 23.30 Uhr war und jede andere Autovermietung geschlossen hatte blieb uns nichts anderes übrig als die Versicherung zu kaufen. Ich nenne das Erpressung und Nötigung. Lasst bloß die Finger von diesem unseriösen Vermieter. Zudem was das Auto dreckig und ungepflegt die Reifen waren abgefahren. Eine zusätzliche Gebühr mussten wir noch zahlen wegen öberschreitung der Öffnungszeiten.

Ik heb een auto gehuurd bij Hellas Drive S.A en deze laten parkeren via een valet service. Bij terugkomst bleek er schade te zijn aan de rechteronderzijde van de bumper. Ik heb direct contact opgenomen met Hellas Drive S.A, en zij gaven aan dat hun eigen verzekeringsmaatschappij iemand zou sturen om de situatie op te nemen.

Ik heb foto’s en videobewijs waaruit blijkt dat de schade niet door mij is veroorzaakt. Toch heeft Hellas Drive S.A zonder verdere communicatie €1100 van mijn borg ingehouden. Sindsdien zijn ze onbereikbaar en reageren ze nergens meer op.

Het is onbegrijpelijk dat ik moet opdraaien voor schade die ik niet heb veroorzaakt. Dit voelt als pure oplichting. Ik raad iedereen ten zeerste af om hier een auto te huren.

Wees gewaarschuwd!

Pessima esperienza macchina ritirata a Santorini, molto mal manutenzionata. Mancava l'acqua dei tergicristalli, un pneumatico era molto liso e la macchina nel complesso era piena di botte.

Il rapporto con società di noleggio auto Drive all'aereoporto Aktion di Prevesa e' stato perfetto. Auto prenotata online dall'Italia e tutto è filato correttamente sin dall'arrivo in aereoporto. Cortesia, disponibilità, puntualità e professionalità da parte dello staff Drive. Nessun problema o spiacevole sorpresa neanche alla riconsegna finale. Prezzo equo e auto sicura e affidabile. Consiglio Drive per il nolo auto in Grecia.

We’ve been coming to Crete for 24 years 3 times a year and have always hired cars to get around this beautiful island. We booked via Discovery Cars based on their customer rating of hire car companies. We chose K-Cars based at Heraklion airport with their 8.7 customer rating. On picking up the car seems that DRIVE Rent a car (white logo on red background) has taken place of K-Cars. On return there was a small scuff mark on forward drivers side bumper or which we were told would cost nearly €360 to fix (but they don’t fix it do they, this is how car rental companies rip off their customers and make their money) plus an admin charge of €60 for what???? This car hire company should be avoided at all costs as the other reviews state they are scammers and out to rip off their customers. We have never ever had an issue with any car hire companies ever especially in Chania and Heraklion airports. I will be contesting this charge until I see proof of its repair and full breakdown charges to remove a scuff!!!! Shame on you Drive Rent a Car, you’ve single handedly tarnished the beauty of Crete & its people.

DO NOT USE Drive Car Rental at Heraklion Airport, where they use dishonest practices.

I hired a car from Drive at Heraklion Airport for one week. I drove to my hotel, where the car then sat in the car park all week. No incidents, no accidents, no issues.

When I returned the vehicle, staff immediately pointed out tiny specks of paint on the front bumper – so small they could easily be classed as normal wear and tear and may well have been there from the start. Any ordinary human being would never think to look for something so small.

Shockingly, they claimed this required removing and reinstalling the bumper(?!!) spray painting and repairs, billing me over $500!! The staff were completely unsympathetic, refused any discussion and just kept telling me to “claim it on insurance".

This is clearly a tactic to squeeze money from customers for trivial marks. It’s dishonest and unacceptable.

Avoid Drive Car Rental in Crete at all costs – there are far better, more trustworthy companies at Heraklion Airport.

442 euros de frais pour un impact minime sur l’enjoliveur et une trace microscopique sur une portière que nous n’avions pas vu pendant l’état des lieux, car oui je n’avais pas emmené ma loupe et je n’avais pas 3 heures à passer pour vérifier la voiture , bien que j’ai identifié une dégradation qu’ils n’avaient évidemment pas noté. Dommage de finir une très belle expérience en crète avec ces arnaqueurs.

Der Drive Mitarbeiter war super kompetent und freundlich. Auto war top gepflegt. Preis gerechtfertigt.
Also ich immer wieder gerne.

UPDATE: Ignore the scammy response from DRIVE. They charged us 40 Euros because THEY were late collecting us. WE were there on time.

With so many other more reputable hire companies to chose from, go with another and avoid these cowboys.

AVOID HIRING FROM THIS COMPANY.

What could have been a good experience was tainted from the very start.

We arrived at the designated airport meeting point at 8:55 pm (Arrivals Hall B, next to Exit 5), five minutes before the rep was scheduled to be there at 9:00. After waiting another ten minutes with no one showing up, we called the number on the rental agreement. We were told the rep was there (which was completely untrue) and that, since the office supposedly closed at 9:00, we would now be charged a €40 ‘late fee.’ This is nothing short of a money-making scam.

When we were eventually collected, there were three staff members in the office — which begs the question: if the office truly closed at 9:00, why were they ALL still there? To make matters worse, another renter on our shuttle had experienced the exact same problem, and they also tried to hit him with the same €40 fee before discovering he couldn’t hire due to having an Australian licence. The whole setup feels deliberately misleading and exploitative.

The drop-off process was however smooth, and the agent who assisted us was cordial and accommodating. Disappointingly, the same agent was present in the office at the time of collection, yet chose not to step in—an opportunity that could have turned this into a positive review rather than a fair but negative one.

AND YOU CAN IGNORE THE RESPONSE FROM DRIVE. THEY WERE NOT THERE TO MEET US AT THE COLLECTION POINT. SIMPLE. THEREFORE THE €40 FEE IS SIMPLY A COMPLETE CON. A CLIENT SHOULD NOT BE PENALISED FOR THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE BUSINESS - SIMPLE. USE VOLTA OR GOLDCAR OR ONE OF THE OTHER HIRE COMPANIES

L'esperienza con la compagnia di noleggio auto DRIVE è stata problematica fin dall'inizio. Già dal primo controllo dell'auto apparivano una serie di piccoli graffi che non erano stati mai diagnosticati dalla responsabile e da noi fatti rilevare attraverso foto. Il cruscotto dell'auto fin dall'accensione segnalava la necessità di manutenzione è così è stato durante tutta la settimana. Avendo prontamente fatto osservare il segnale, la responsabile mi invitava a gonfiare le ruote per risolverlo, cosa che avrebbero dovuto fare già loro. Il suo capo - chiamato per verificare il problema - mi tranquillizzava dicendo invece che la spia era accesa perché la revisione dell'auto era stata fatta ma non ancora registrata. E questa cosa non dimostra certo serietà. Come mi aveva segnalato la responsabile la ruota anteriore destra fin dall'inizio del viaggio segnalava la necessità di essere gonfiata (cosa fatta più volte nella settimana di utilizzo) anche se non risultava bucata. Ma il bello è arrivato alla riconsegna dell'auto. Avendo rilevato la presenza di un graffio di circa 5 cm x 3 sul telaio sotto la porta posteriore destra (colpa mia) e la ruota anteriore destra sgonfia, il direttore mi impone il pagamento di euro 612 per il danno causato. In particolare più di €400 per ripristinare il graffio e circa 150 x la ruota. Un prezzo fisso e non proporzionale al reale danno. Una cosa allucinante! Ho richiesto a questo punto al direttore più volte di poter visionare il listino dei prezzi in caso di danneggiamento dell'auto e ho ricevuto soltanto rifiuti. Il direttore si è dimostrato incapace di gestire le legittime richieste del cliente addirittura invitandomi a portare io stesso l'auto dal meccanico e risolverlo in autonomia, sapendo benissimo che il mio aereo era in partenza e che quindi mai avrei potuto gestire questa cosa. Mi ha riferito che dopo il pagamento avrei ricevuto una distinta con i diversi interventi fatti sull'auto con la possibilità di vedere ridotta la cifra dei 611euro già pagati a seguito di loro indagine meccanica (ma non il graffio che è standard!!!). Questa distinta - con i famosi costi previsti dal listino prezzi -ad oggi non è ancora arrivata. Un'esperienza da non ripetere. Un atteggiamento aggressivo, maleducato, contrario a qualsiasi concetto di attenzione al cliente e apparentemente molto vicino alla truffa. Pessimo! La prossima volta sceglierò una compagnia che abbia un listino prezzi dei possibili danni immediatamente a disposizione del cliente su richiesta e che valuti il costo in modo proporzionale al danno.

Noleggiamo l'auto presso l'aeroporto di Creta-Heraklion tramite un noto sito intermediario.
Al ritiro ci consegnano un'auto nuova, addirittura con un upgrade rispetto alla classe di veicoli da noi originariamente noleggiata. Abbiamo l'opportunità di fare foto al veicolo, che facciamo meticolosamente. Al ritiro consegnamo l'auto da noi mantenuta con estrema cura, con più carburante di quando la abbiamo ricevuta (d'altronde non la consegnano col pieno quindi è dura riconsegnarla allo stesso livello! Altro "trucchetto" della compagnia...) e lavata sia all'interno che all’esterno. L’addetta al ritiro, stranamente, identifica subito un presunto “danno”, un graffio sul bordo della porta del passeggero che definire minimo, anzi microscopico sarebbe una esagerazione, in quanto nemmeno con il massimo zoom dell’iPhone 15 si riesce a catturare in foto. Siamo sicuri di non essere stati noi ma non abbiamo potuto dimostrarlo in quanto le foto da noi prese non hanno potuto dimostrare la presenza di questo "danno" microscopico...
Ci estorcono 322 euro senza possibilità di replicare, in quanto eravamo già in ritardo con il volo. La fattura che da noi è stata pagata indica 3 ore di lavoro per riparare il danno... Ci siamo sentiti truffati e umiliati.
L’impressione, come dalle recensioni precedenti, è che gli addetti di questa compagnia vengano addestrati per estorcere denaro ai malcapitati clienti usando queste strategie.
EVITATE ASSOLUTAMENTE QUESTA COMPAGNIA!!!

After renting hire cars for almost thirty years around the world having positive and negative experiences, the one place i thought i would never be scammed is the beautiful country of Greece. Greek car hire has always been such a positive experience until until we made a poor judgement call with Drive Hellas.( wish i checked trust pilot) At the airport at Preveza we had to pay for extra for the Road Assistance. Never had to pay before, but ok we went ahead. At no point was a cleaning package offered. This is where the scam starts. We had treated the car perfectly. Always parked safely in paid car parks on the island of Lefkada. Kept it clean, even though we were on a beach holiday and sometimes it gets a bit dusty and sandy. On our return we filled up the tank and the car attendant did his inspection. At this point he said we would have to pay a cleaning charge of 25 euros for a tiny salt mark where my sixteen year old daughter was sitting. He then asked if i had taken out the cleaning package which i i formed him that it was not offered. He said it needed biologically cleaning which is absolute nonsense. A bit of soap or lemon juice would have got it out. The attendant was quite aggressive( i have now read reviews which collaborate this) The attendant at the airport desk was not interested. I can only believe that they are on commission to charge you extra. What they want you to do is a full valet service on the car before returning. We pay enough for car hire for the business to clean the car unless its extremely dirty, then i understand. DO NOT USE DRIVE HELLAS FROM PREVEZA AIRPORT. SCAMMERS

Our worst ever experience with a car rental company (over 30 plus years) that sadly spoiled the beginning and end of our Greece holiday.

The rental car, a Mazda 2, broke down soon after we drove it back from the airport. Fortunately my family was safe in the villa, I had gone back out to a supermarket where the car shut down completely when I came back to it. None of the emergency numbers answered except one that went through to a Greek person who spoke no English at all. I rented a bike to get home, the €140 (food) shopping was mostly spoiled.
The following morning at 0900 I was able to make contact with their call centre. The first person said that this was a “flat battery which is very normal” and someone would call back. Nobody did. I called again, another person said this was very unusual and asked if I knew that it was a hybrid that might not start up with the engine. I did know this. He said someone would call back, nobody did. I e mailed the company marked urgent asking for a refund and for the car to be collected, there was no response then or subsequently. I called again over the course of the morning, eventually at 1pm a mechanic came out and found a loose connection under the rear floor. No apology, no compensation for time or costs incurred. He said only that they were very busy.

We returned the car after a week with less than 200km use, clean inside but not washed outside as instructed. There was 3/4 of a tank of fuel, it was provided empty. The desk was unmanned, the number to call went to a Greek answerphone message. Eventually a young person arrived, she said there was a scratch in the bumper that we would be charged for. This was a dust mark that I wiped off with the airport cleaner’s cloth. The Hellas person was by then serving another customer and my flight was being called, she said only that we would be charged and then ignored me and my wife who tried also to talk to her. There was no damage at all to the car.

I have e mailed the company setting out all the above, a response is unlikely based on experience last week when the vehicle was broken down. Fortunately the deposit was paid by credit card so we have recourse against the company but I would strongly advise against using this company.

Guys is just a big rental company . All the others are just the typical for all the countries . Credit , no debit . Zero excess insurance and peace of mind
