Abzocke!!! Finger weg, hier werden alle Tricks des Scams angewendet. Absolute Profis des Scam. Und Check24 sowie billiger Mietwagen machen munter mit... Obwohl die das wissen, bieten sie nach wie vor diesen Anbieter abbycar (Scammer) weiter an und lassen ihre Kunden mit vollem Tempo ins offene Messer laufen. Check24 lässt seine Kunden mit Absicht auf die heiße Herdplatte fassen.

I honestly have to say, I read the reviews AFTER booking the car. I had booked with easyJet so I don't know if that plays any part, but I rented a car from Abbycar Rhodes April 2026 and I have to say I was not happy with my service, I was impressed. I had taken the cheapest option, since that was my budget, they gave me a great car which I would even consider an upgrade, they were very direct efficient and friendly, we got picked up from the airport on the first day, dropped off on the last, very flexible and still very straightforward. Did not try to get hassled upon return, and got my deposit back after 4 days, which is quicker than usual. They did everything a car rental company should do. Great job, keep up the good work.

Payer une location 136€ mais finalement un surplus de 180€ parce que tu as une carte crédit comme tout le monde et qu’ils veulent une « débit » et que ce n’est pas stipulé clairement c’est juste de l’arnaque (c’est dans les petites lignes du contrat...).

Si j’étais malhonnête et que je pouvais faire payer mes client un tarif assez correct puis au moment de récupérer leur objet, de leur dire « c’est 133 % supplémentaire » que dirait ont ?
Surtout que la justification technique de la carte n’est plus valable à présent comme il y a 25ans.
Chercher à plumer les gens en leur cachant des informations, surtout payée 1 mois à l’avance, et rendre la location impossible sur site sauf à payer plus du double c’est du racket.

Du reste, j’ai dû me mettre en colère au moment de rendre le véhicule, devant le gars qui essayait de me charger d’un bosse qui existait sur la photo. Il n’a pas insisté.
A force de racketter les gens et d’utiliser ces méthodes vous allez arriver à quoi ?
Ha oui, cerise sur le gâteau : j’ai payé le prix du parking, 5€ juste pour récupérer ma voiture de location !

Positif : la voiture était relativement propre et en bon état, bien que le bas de caisse avait pris cher sur leur petites routes rocailleuses.

Mais personnellement, plus jamais !

Ik heb een wagen gehuurd en na 3 dagen had ik een platte en kapotte batterij. Ik heb deze moeten laten vervangen en dit kostte me €220. Abbycar weigert dit terug te betalen. Ze zeiden dat ik terug naar Athene moest rijden (meer dan 3u enkel) en dit kon absoluut niet.
Ik wil een compensatie!

I had a very disappointing experience with AbbyCar.

I rented a vehicle via Check24. The car provided did not have a valid MOT (KTEO), which resulted in a police stop and a fine of EUR 200.

I informed AbbyCar immediately and provided all documents. However, no corrective action was taken. The police clearly stated that the fine could have been reduced if the inspection had been carried out within the deadline – which AbbyCar failed to do.

As a result, I had to pay the full amount. AbbyCar has refused reimbursement.

This is unacceptable, as customers must be able to rely on receiving a legally compliant vehicle.

I strongly advise others to be cautious.

Très mauvaise expérience avec Abbycar. À cause d’un retard de vol de 30 minutes, je n’ai pas pu récupérer le véhicule à temps, et nous sommes restés à l’aéroport sans aucune réponse de la part de l’agent. Aucune solution ne nous a été proposée sur place. Le lendemain, je me suis déplacé pour récupérer la voiture, mais ma carte Premier n’a pas été acceptée alors même que j’avais expliqué que ma carte couvre le véhicule en cas d’accident et que je n’ai jamais eu de problème avec cette carte chez d’autres loueurs. L’agent n’était pas du tout coopératif et proposait une assurance à 30 euros par jour pour une Citroën C-Elysée, ce qui me paraît excessif. Finalement, je n’ai pas pris le véhicule, et les frais de réservation ont tout de même été conservés, ce que je trouve abusif. J’ai eu le sentiment d’être bloqué, mal accompagné et de payer beaucoup plus que prévu. Je ne recommande pas et s’il avait moins de 1 étoile je donne à abbycar Albanie

Die Rückgabe der Kaution von 500EUR steht seit 05.11.2025 aus. Keine Reklamation des Vermieters Abbycar bei Rückgabe, alles sei in Ordnung. Keine Reaktion auch von AutoEurope/Abbycar gegenüber Check24.
Strafanzeige wegen Betrugs gegen die Autovermietung gestellt. Hoffentlich nicht mittlerweile insolvent!

Reading these reviews, I am grateful I didn't go ahead with Abby Cars.

I have just been at their offices to pick up a car and the uncaring behaviour and lack of empathy of their staff led me to be believe I was walking into a trap and the alarm bells definitely went off. Hidden fees, declaring that your purchased insurance was insufficient and long price list for damages definitely were signs that I would have been cooked upon returning the car. Lucky me that I didn't go ahead and then saw all these negative reviews! They paint the real picture.

Pheww! Thanks for sharing all. You saved a life! So relieved.

If you’re traveling with a baby… you know the stress 😅

First trip with a 6-month-old baby, with suitcases, a stroller, and everything else you can imagine. Stressful enough already, but my biggest concern was driving — first time on foreign roads, and in Athens of all places.

And of course, the classic worry: the car. Would it be comfortable? Would it have GPS? Would I be able to handle so many hours of driving without getting even more stressed?

In the end, Abby Car made everything so much easier! Honestly, all my stress disappeared. Immediate service, very kind staff, and everything was done super fast — within minutes I had the car and was on my way without any delays.

And the best part? I drove from Athens to Mesolongi (which, due to delays, took almost 6 hours 😅) and felt like I was sitting on my couch.

No exaggeration, it was one of the easiest and most comfortable travel experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended!

Don’t book with them. They’re not very easy to locate at the airport and they don’t even bother helping when you contact them. They charge a high amount for deposit and return it after a long time. They gave me a car with half tank fuel and when I returned it with full tank, they said they’d refund me but ignored my messages after. I wish I’d read the reviews here before booking.

Scammers! The gordo illegal with the fake glass earrings from didn’t have my car so he made up an excuse about an extra deposit. We offered him 4 different cards, cash deposit and the car was already paid for on Amex through Expedia. He didn’t have the car, so the lying scum bag dry foot put my wife and I with our two kids out in the rain today. SCUMBAG!!

Hallo, wir haben im September 2025 einen Mietwagen bei AbbyCar auf Korfu gebucht. Es war eine Katastrophe. Kleineres Auto bekommen als gebucht. Auf dem Weg zum Hotel hat der Reifen Luft verloren, Reserverad konnte nicht verwendet werden, es steckte eine Schraube im Ersatzrad. Pannendienst vor Ort brachte Kfz in Werkstatt. Es gab keine Unterstützung vor Ort. Wir mussten alles selber organisieren. Auf eine Entschädigung für den verlorenen Urlaubstag und das kleinere Auto warten wir noch heute, da keine Rückantwort...

I am mailing with the support team since august 2025. They have taken the deposit in stead of refunding it. In total 1000 euro. They promised to return in October and since then no reply.

Seit mehr als 120 Tagen warte ich auf die Rückerstattung meiner Kaution…immer wieder werde ich vertröstet mit angeblichen Problemen mit der EDV
Bei 2500€ Kaution sind mittlerweile 150. € Zinsen auf meiner Kreditkarte angefallen
Ich kann von solchen Unternehmen nur abraten.

Took me half of a year to get back my deposit. Not recommended!

We took a total of 7 cars for a convoy tour in Jordan, very very happy with the kind of support & service given. We got it a very competitive rate. The condition of cars wears very good and we got a full insurance cover as well.
Was a great overall experience and our tour of 8 days went very smooth .

From the first second when I went in the office in AbbyCar in Bosnia, Semir the agent who was there, was one of the best human and a great seller also. He helped us with everything! He helped us with the car what to do where to go in Bosnia, what to be careful of, and all that we needed to know. When we return the car, there was a small bump on the right back door which me and my friend never saw. But Semir was so helpful and he made the whole experience super easy with the insurance company which I booked and from the DiscoverCars. So, because of Semir, the experience with AbbyCar was super good with 0 problems!

“Car rental booked in October in Crete, €500 deposit paid. Due to a road closure, I was instructed to return the car at the airport station and leave the key in the drop box. I was assured the deposit would be refunded within a few days.

After no refund, ABBYCAR confirmed in November after my complaint that there was an internal issue and the deposit would be transferred. In December I was told that several customers were affected and it would take a bit longer. I followed up again in January and since then received no response and no refund.

Months of delay despite repeated promises. Extremely poor customer service, not trustworthy and highly unprofessional.”

I have booked a taxi from this company for the last three night. It was easy to book a taxi, and the taxi arrived quickly. The drivers were helpful, and the fare was of a reasonable price. Will definitely use again.
