Prior to pick-up in Krakow I was contacted if I would prefer pickup in the airport, so I did. Very good and fastacting dialogue by manager. Car was clean and without damage, only driven around 15K.
Only thing I would have appreciated was knowledge about cost and oppurtunities about insurances before I came. Now I now how it works and will ask those questions next time before I rent, so I will know the full price. I was transported from pickup to the airport without charge pretty fast, thats included.

This time I am extremely disappointed with the company’s attitude, which completely outweighs all my previous positive experiences.
I booked a car more than a month in advance and paid in full, but I was never informed that I would be given a different model with a different type of fuel.
I have medical contraindications to this type of fuel and physically cannot spend long periods in such a vehicle.

I immediately requested a replacement car, but my request was refused, and the staff behaved in a highly unprofessional and dismissive manner.
As a result, I was left without a suitable vehicle and with my plans ruined, despite having made the booking well in advance.

Such treatment of customers is unacceptable. I will never use this company’s services again and do not recommend it to anyone who values honesty, respect, and compliance with agreed terms.

Avoid at any cost!
They charged my card days after I returned the car for a non existing damage for 420 EUR!

Wish I'd checked Trust Pilot before! Do not rent. We returned the car to SZZ airport undamaged, full tank of fuel, left keys. They then claim windscreen damage and charge my credit card £343 for 'stone chip', Luckily I always Photograph and Video on pick up so will be disputing this. Be warned. Being a regularly traveller to SZZ we know there are plenty of good companies and wint make the mistake of trying these crooks again!

Best of it they forgot to ask me to sign a rental agreement - then when they followed up couldnt get the details correct so i never signed agreement. Going to love arguing this one out.

Bardzo nieuczciwa firma. Oddaliśmy samochód w Warszawie, po czym zostaliśmy potraceni $ 777 za porysowanie samochodu którego nie zrobiliśmy. Raport z incydentu dostałam parę dni później. Oszuści i złodzieje. Jak można tak oszukiwać ludzi. Niemiła obsługa, nie polecam i nie będę nikomu polecać .

It's a car rental setup to grab your credit card details in order to scam you with bogus scratches, etc when you return. The customer before us was charged 600 euros, and we got charged 500. Stay away at all costs.

Oszuści i naciągacze . Nie polecam tej firmy . Auto wynajęłam na lotnisku w Świdniku 16/06 . Odbiór odbył się 22.45 padał deszcz , facet wtykał na siłę dodatkowe ubezpieczenie. Odmówiłam bo ubezpieczenie było wliczone w cenę przez brokera . Przy odbiorze dostawca powiedział że auto ma wile zarysowań zrobił kilka zdjęć stwierdził że nie powinno być problemów ze zwrotem bo auto porysowane i zaraz uciekł. Dwa tygodnie bez problemowego użytkowania , przy zdaniu auta okazuje się że jest jakaś rysa na drzwiach . Pan który odbierał samochód przygotowany z szablonem i taśmą podszedł prosto do miejsca gdzie wada była i tak auto skrupulatnie przejrzał że jakby pająk na to auto się załatwił to by on uznał to 💩za jakoś szkodę . Poprosiłam o zdjęcia z odbioru auta i udowodnienie że to ja uszkodziłam pan po chamsku odpowiedział że zdjęcia może są albo ich nie ma i oznajmił że szkoda będzie powyżej 1000 zł .Dwie godziny po zdaniu auta przyszedł raport na maila z wyceną tego niby uszkodzenia 1500 zł i trzema zdjęciami na których pokazane są drzwi pomalowane mazakiem. Wynajmuje auta od wielu lat i jeszcze się z taka sytuacja nie spotkałam , jednak czytając recenzje innych widzę że te praktyki okradania ludzi przez to firmę są normalne!!! Trzymajcie się od tej firmy z daleka bo oni po prostu ludzi w biały dzień okradają !!!! Jeżeli jakieś pieniądze będą pobrane z mojej karty , od razu zgłaszam to kradzież na policję !!!

There are honest and dishonest rentals, this one is not one of the fair ones. Unfortunately, the way this company earns their money is to charge people's astronomical prices for the smallest cosmetic scratches on the car.

In my case, the smallest scratch on one of the rims was estimated by their "system" at 700PLN (€170) which is almost double of my rental price!

I advise you to use the rental company directly at the terminal where the service is always more pleasant.

Regarding Carwizs response below, when I queried and challenged the process, they were unable to provide evidence they previously said they have. I chased this and they went radio silent. Classic treatment with these companies. I’d stay away.

I rented with Kaizen Rent in Krakow 8 times and had no issues once. Would recommend them instead

They try to scam people with fake car damages. these damages were before the rental and the company treats them as new. They don't respond to emails and phone calls

Nigdy, przenigdy nie korzystaj z tej firmy. Kiedy oddasz samochód, będą szukać, aż znajdą małą rysę, której nie zauważyłeś, a następnie pobiorą od Ciebie zł 950 kaucji. Przydarzyło mi się to - po 15 minutach szukania pracownik powiedział, że znalazł rysę na spodniej stronie zderzaka. Ci ludzie to oszuści!

Friendly helpful personal even at near midnight. Easy to access the car and good service when returning the car. All went very smooth. Only downside was the car..a small Toyota!! I would rather see that they have European cars like Renault, Skoda, Fiat or Opel that are way more nice to drive in every aspects

Omijać szerokim łukiem, wynajęliśmy pojazd wieczorem (bylo ciemno) i nie zauważyłem wgniotki wielkości 5zl na błotniku przy zwrocie pracownik firmy poszedł prosto tam gdzie niby zrobiliśmy nowe uszkodzenie i zostałem za to obciążony na prawie 2500zl.
Dostaliśmy pojazd brudny w środku gdzie oczekują zwrotu czystego. Wybierajcie inne firmy bo oni najwidoczniej są nastawieni na oszustwa.

Pick up from the airport terminal was quick only took a couple of minutes in the shuttle bus, we had a Toyota Corolla very good car great condition

Contrary to most other reviews, our experience with Carwiz in Krakow airport was pretty good.

We were not pressured into paying for additional insurance or any add ons. The only thing they requested was that the car be cleaned (inside and out) prior to it being returned.

My only complaint was that the car itself seemed to have some sort of engine issue and didn't have much power. Probably long overdue for a full service.

PRO TIP: Always take pictures of the exterior and interior of the car when you collect it, then email them to yourself so you have date stamped record in case any disputes arise relating to suspected damage.

I've been renting cars from Carwiz Warsaw airport every time I'm visiting Poland. Great service, cars are new, clean, very good on gas ( it is important when you have to drive quite distances ). I always buy full insurance from them and even get some discount for being loyal customer. I always recommend Carwiz to my friends.

The company's business practices raise concerns regarding transparency and customer service. Upon renting a vehicle in Cracow, we encountered several issues. Despite initial promises, no representative was present at the airport upon our arrival. Consequently, we were required to take a minibus with our children and luggage to the vehicle's location. The vehicle inspection was conducted at night, necessitating the use of a flashlight due to inadequate lighting.

Despite purchasing insurance for peace of mind, we received an email after returning the vehicle, containing photographs of alleged damages. These included minor dirt marks, barely visible scratches, and unclear images that made it difficult to ascertain if they belonged to the same vehicle. It appears that the company exploits such minute details to generate revenue from unsuspecting customers.

Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Carwiz as a reliable or trustworthy car rental service. We advise against choosing them in favour of more reputable and established companies. While the initial cost may be lower, the potential for subsequent headaches and disputes outweighs any perceived savings.

Regrettably, we must now file an insurance claim, which Carwiz informed us is handled by a third party, requiring us to manage the process independently. This adds to the inconvenience and frustration caused by their poor customer service and questionable business practices. AVOID!!!

I strongly advise everyone to avoid CarWiz Polska, especially the branch located at the Marriott Hotel at Chopin Airport in Warsaw. I rented a car from them in May 2025 and returned it during office hours. When I arrived to return the vehicle, there was no staff present at the desk, even though it was within their stated opening hours. After calling the phone number provided, I was instructed to simply drop the keys into a box.

I inspected the car myself and saw no new damage. Several hours later, I received an email from CarWiz claiming there were scratches on the car, accompanied by low-quality photos that do not clearly show any damage. I was never shown any damage report at the time of return, nor did I sign anything acknowledging any issues. Despite my explanations and dispute, the company withheld my entire deposit of 700 euros from my credit card without my consent or a proper, transparent process.

After researching online, I found that many other customers have experienced similar problems with CarWiz Polska – false damage claims, poor communication, and difficulties getting their deposits back. This seems to be a recurring issue and shows a pattern of unfair business practices.

If you value your money and peace of mind, do not use CarWiz, especially at the Marriott Chopin Airport location.
The only effective way to deal with such unfair practices seems to be reporting the case to the Polish consumer protection authority (UOKiK) or the European Consumer Centre. I strongly recommend anyone who has been treated in a similar way to file a complaint with these institutions.

I am extremely disappointed and have reported this case to consumer protection authorities myself.

Wynajem auto na trzy dni oczywiście wszystko ładnie pięknie pan przyjechał po mnie na lotnisko Katowice Pyrzowice zabrał mnie pod firmę dał swojego fona bym podpisał odbiór auta ok sprawdzić auta nie mogłem bo było ciemno 3rano padał deszcz więc ogólnie sprawdziłem auto oczywiści pobrano mi dodatkową opłatę za to że pan przyjechał po godzinach oczywiście nikt mnie o tym nie poinformował że obciąża mnie kosztami przyjazdu ale ok po trzech dniach oddałem auto bez żadnych dokumentów szkodzeń czy zadrapań nikt nie sporządził raportu odbioru bo nikogo nie było o 4 rano więc wrzuciłem kluczyki do skrzynki przyleciałem do Liverpool a o godz 9 przychodu i mail ze oddałem auto uszkodzone zarysowanie gdzieś na nadkolu załączyli zdjęcia które kapletnie zaprzeczały temu bo to były inne zdjęcia nie te które mówiły o zarysowaniu auta a co było najlepsze zdjęcia były zrobione po 9 godz rano a i mail przyszedł o 7:58 więc już to było podejrzane oczywiście w zadzwoniłem do firmy gdzie wynająłem auto oczywiście gadka że taka polityka firmy podpisał pan itp tylko najlepsze było to że tak dokładnie nie wiem co podpisałem ale mój błąd rano zimno zmęczenie ale gdy dostałem rachunek za za rysę której napewno nie zrobiłem koszt był 270f oczywiście zbędne tłumaczenia itp napisałem do banku o fakt wyłudzenia pieniędzy z mojej karty i bank podjął kroki zwrotu tych kosztów opisałem całą sytuację przesyłając raport i zdjęcia bank uznał moje roszczenie że jest to wyłudzenie pieniędzy i zwrócił mi pobrane sirodki za fikcyjną szkodę której nie zrobiłem polecam by omijać tą firmę z daleka szerokim kołem wyspecjalizowała się w wyłudzaniu kasy od ludzi którzy są z zagranicy licząc że nie będzie im się chciało walczyć o zagrabione pieniądze nie polecam tej firmy a wręcz oddał bym sprawę do prokuratury o kradzież w białych rękawiczkach
