Avevamo noleggiato un auto modello Peugeot 308 o similare con cambio automatico da Cargini aeroporto Malta. Al momento del ritiro del mezzo ci è stato detto che l'auto non c'era, che era disponibile un'auto con cambio manuale e che, forse, l'indomani mattina ci sarebbe stata l'auto come da nostra richiesta. Nonostante le nostre proteste, la richiesta di un'auto con cambio automatico, che a Malta con la guida a sinistra è decisamente più comoda, non siamo stati soddisfatti. Abbiamo quindi accettato una C3 vecchia, senza navigatore e con cambio manuale. L'impiegata ci avrebbe chiamato il giorni successivo, entro le 8 AM, per il cambio auto. Alle 10 AM del giorno dopo abbiamo ricontattato l'agenzia per procedere con il cambio, ma l'auto non sarebbe stata disponibile, non ci avrebbero dato un'altra con cambio automatico nemmeno di classe superiore, se non pagavamo la differenza. Il giorno successivo ci hanno avvisato che l'auto da noi richiesta era disposnibile alle 12.30 e che potevamo ritirarla. Mattinata persa! L'auto che ci hanno consegnato era una Peugeot 308 con cambio automatico, ma da come ci era stato detto era appena uscita da una riparazione e, probabilmente, non ben fatta. La macchina presentava problemi di ruote, così come segnalato dal computer di bordo. Esperienza pessima, non possiamo dire che il personale non sia stato cordiale, ma il servizio in generale pessimo. Ritengo che se non puoi dare l'auto richiesta, dovresti consegnare un'auto con le medesime prerogative del contratto anche dando una clase superiore. Comunque alla fine tra un giro e l'altro son sparite due mezze giornate di vacanza.

At the time of your arrival, the automatic vehicle assigned to your reservation was temporarily unavailable due to mechanical issues. The safety of our customers is always our absolute priority, and we would never provide any customer with a vehicle that has not been properly checked and confirmed to be 100% safe and suitable for use. For this reason, rather than providing a vehicle that required further attention, our partner offered you a manual vehicle as a temporary solution so that you could continue with your plans while waiting for the automatic vehicle to become available.
We fully understand that this was not the experience you expected, especially as you had specifically booked an automatic vehicle. However, the manual vehicle was provided only as a temporary solution, and our partner proceeded with the replacement as soon as the requested automatic vehicle became available.
The vehicle was ultimately replaced with the automatic on 27/07/2026 at 1:00 PM, which was within the 48-hour period provided for vehicle replacement under the applicable Terms & Conditions.
We also understand that having to return to the office and arrange the vehicle change may have affected your plans, and we regret the inconvenience this may have caused during your holiday.
That said, we believe it is important to clarify that the initial vehicle change was the result of an unforeseen mechanical issue and, above all, a decision made with your safety as the priority. The automatic vehicle you had originally booked was subsequently provided within the timeframe specified in the Terms & Conditions.

Die schlimmste Mietwagenerfahrung meines Lebens. Kein Schalter am Flughafen, kein Ansprechpartner und keine Erreichbarkeit. Vier Stunden lang gewartet und rund 50 Mal angerufen. Ein einziges 15 Sekunden Gespräch mit dem Versprechen jemand komme, danach völlige Funkstille. Selbst ein Fahrer mit unseren Unterlagen!!! verwies nur auf die Nummer weiterhin anzurufen. Wir mussten in unserer Not für 320 Euro ein Ersatzfahrzeug buchen und verloren praktisch den ersten Urlaubstag. Absolut unseriös. Finger weg!!!

Very poor experience
Very poor experience. It'sound like a fraud. We received the car at night that we could barely see. We took pictures of what was pointed to us. After returning, we are asked to pay almost 400€ for a damage of the black bumper. When trying to explain the situation, the staff employee at the counter had the argument of"shut up, you're saying no sense". Just taking pictures before and after of the entire car would have avoided that. Not recommended at all.

The rental company is far from the airport what gives you more time in the come and go process. The service is not kind. They know you depend on airline times and walking time to the shatel and driving to rental company and they charge you for 40 euro for one hour late .

Cargini Rent a Car (aéroport de Santorin
Cargini Rent a Car (aéroport de Santorin) : une agence qui multiplie les méthodes de pression sur des clients captifs, en pleine saison touristique.
La veille de mon arrivée, je les informe d'un léger décalage d'horaire. Réponse : deux suppléments de 40 € chacun, pour "retard" et pour "relancer la demande de location". Le jour même, à deux reprises, on insiste pour que je souscrive une assurance complémentaire à 185 €, que je refuse fermement. Résultat de mon insistance : je me présente avec 15 minutes de retard sur l'horaire de fermeture, et je me retrouve facturé 80 € de frais, dont un qui ne figure dans aucune clause de leurs conditions générales.
Le véhicule est pourtant restitué sans le moindre dommage, plein fait, constaté et signé par leur propre agent. Quand je conteste, on me répond que je suis "libre de prendre toute démarche appropriée", puis on me renvoie vers CarJet, qui me renvoie à son tour vers Cargini. Personne n'assume.
Facturer 80 € pour un quart d'heure de retard après avoir tenté de m'imposer une assurance à 185 € que j'avais refusée, ce n'est pas une politique commerciale, c'est de l'abus caractérisé sur des clients qui n'ont pas d'autre choix que de payer sur place. Dossier transmis à un avocat et au Centre Européen des Consommateurs. Évitez.

Experience Cargini Albania
Our experience with Cargini was generally good. The staff was friendly, helpful, and willing to assist whenever needed.
There are, however, a few areas for improvement. The car we rented had just been returned from the previous rental, so it had not yet been cleaned or thoroughly checked. To his credit, the Cargini employee offered to have the car cleaned immediately. However, since we had already had a long day and still had a four-hour drive ahead of us, we decided to skip the cleaning.
We did arrive about an hour later than the time we had indicated, so it was a little surprising that the car still hadn't been cleaned and prepared for us.
Because the car had apparently not been fully checked between rentals, we encountered a tire pressure warning and found that the windshield washer fluid reservoir was empty. Neither issue was a major problem, and we were able to resolve both ourselves. Nevertheless, it would have been appreciated if these checks had been carried out before the car was handed over.
Despite these minor issues, I would certainly consider renting from Cargini again in the future.

Péssima experiência
Alugamos um carro de uma categoria mediana com seguro, mas quando fizemos o pagamento verificamos que não tinhamos seguro disponível e mais que isso não nos permitiram a retirada do carro sem efetuar um seguro interno. Ou seja pagamos duas vezes por algo e não usufruídos.
Para piorar o estado do carro era deplorável todo partido na lateral traseira o que em "autoestrada" fazia muito barulho.
Também havia um cheiro estranho na viatura. Informaram-me de que iríamos receber WhatsApp com as informações do carro e fotos mas nunca recebemos e quando contactei o apoio durante o aluguer também ninguém atendeu.
Experiência péssima.

We’ve rented a car in Crete, Greece. We’ve arrived after their working hours due to flight delay and still they waited for us ( and charged an after hour 20€) but its fine. The car was clean good and has all you need. The checkin and checkout were smooth and quick.

Vlore rental
I rented a car in Vlore, Albania. The office was not at the Port as mentioned on the website. It was opereting through another company, where I was driven by some guy. It is basically outside of town. Even though, the process was smooth and the car was great.

Ruth è molto gentile e disponibile al ritiro dell’auto e ha spiegato tutte le condizioni nel dettaglio.
Rivedo la recensione alla fine del noleggio, l’auto era nuova e molto affidabile, nonostante non perfetta di carrozzeria, al momento della riconsegna mi è stato fatto un addebito per un danno rilevato sull’auto, di valore sicuramente sproporzionato rispetto all’entità del danno stesso. Chiederò il rimborso all’assicurazione, ma se il tariffario dei danni è di questo livello, in un mese possono ricomprarsi l’auto nuova.

They gave a a "new" eleven years old car
1. Walking from the airport to the office with luggage is dangerous and long.
2. It took almost 1 hour to get the car, they said they had to clean it....
2. We were given a Renault Elise with "only" 15.000 km on the clock. But car was falling apart when we checked the papers the car was 11 yeras old from 2015.
3. There was a SERVICE light on the dashboard they said, no problem no problem. I was tired with my family, they did´not provide a solution or an explanation and finally I decided to take the car as I did not have the energy to argue, nor I felt it was a safe place to argue either, so I just crossed fingers it would not let me down in the middle of Albania.
Not a recomendable experience.

Following your review, we contacted our local partner in Tirana to better understand the situation. They informed us that your original reservation was for a smaller vehicle category. As a gesture of goodwill and in our commitment to providing excellent customer service, you were offered a complimentary upgrade to a larger diesel vehicle at no additional cost. We were also informed that the vehicle was a 2019 model.
Regarding your comment about the location of our rental station being far away and unsafe to reach, we would like to clarify that approximately 90% of the car rental companies at Tirana Airport are located in the same designated area. Unfortunately, the location of the rental offices is determined by the local authorities, and as a rental company, we are not in a position to influence or change these regulations.
With regard to the 15,000 km you mentioned, may we kindly ask whether it is possible that the dashboard was displaying the trip meter rather than the vehicle's total mileage?
Additionally, could you please let us know if you informed our local staff about the service indicator and requested a replacement vehicle after noticing it? This information would help us better understand the circumstances and investigate the matter more thoroughly.
Please be assured that these questions are asked only to help us gain a clearer understanding of what happened. They are in no way intended to question your experience or come across as confrontational.
In any case, please rest assured that at Cargini, customer satisfaction is always our highest priority. We believe that this was an unfortunate isolated incident and not representative of the level of service we strive to provide.

Excelente serviço e relação preço/qualidade.
Todas as fases do processo correram bem. Desde a nossa recolha no aeroporto, à recolha do carro para seguirmos viagem, até à entrega e respetiva boleia até ao aeroporto de Atenas. O atendimento foi solicito e rápido. O carro estava em excelentes condições. Recomendo o vosso serviço.
