I paid $200 for a elite session. I thought that included yearbook pictures. It did not. Book the $50 session and do yearbook pictures ONLY! The cheapest option is $200 for 1 digital image. (So $400 in, 1 image) The only thing that made sense if you want you entire package is $2,000! I did a payment plan of $450 each time. I have already paid $1200 into my session and asked for 3 digital images that are due now for senior yearbook ad, my payment plan isn’t finished until Nov. They said it had to be paid in full and would NOT send me anything! Which is ridiculous and unfair! How is anyone supposed to be able to afford this!!!! Pictures are not even that great of quality. For $2400 I could’ve had a GREAT photographer! Pissed

Worst customer service ever!! The rep named Cam was extremely rude, condescending and arrogant when speaking to me and he hung up in my face when I requested a manager! I hate that my sons school switched to this company this year for school pics!! I normally purchase school pics every year, but WILL NOT PURCHASE from this company!! Horrible experience!

CADY is a total ripoff!! They overcharge by hundreds of dollars!! They said they could correct a small makeup issue with our chosen images- them called back after I spent 600+ dollars for 18 sheets and said it would be $200 more to have the picture’s fixed. Total crap!!! Save your money. Go to a professional and get digital copies. You can get quality prints for about $5 a page.
The absolute worst company to deal with…
The absolute worst company to deal with for yearbook portraits. I was misdirected and lied to multiple times. I directly asked if there was a yearbook only option and was told no, that I had to choose a session. I was charged a $29 session fee for a yearbook photo that was supposed to be free according to the high school.
Also, check the terms and conditions you must agree to. The terms as initially shown gave the studio full rights to do anything with your child's photo, at any time, for any purpose. This is directly listed in the terms of service agreement.
a) To copyright the same in the photographer's name or any other name that he/she may select;
b) to use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade.
I hereby release and discharge Cady Studios from all and any claims and demands ensuing from or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel and invasion of privacy. This authorization and release shall inure to the benefit of the legal representatives. licensees and assigns of Cady Studios. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents hereof. I represent that I am the parent and/or guardian of the below named model. For value received, I hereby consent to the foregoing on his/her behalf.
I asked the studio if there was a way to get just a yearbook photo taken without agreeing to these terms. They said there was not a way and the terms must be agreed to. I informed the high school of the overreach. The high school looked into the issue and a day later the terms changed as the listed terms were for modeling clients, not students. How was this not realized when I directly asked about the terms for a senior yearbook picture?
Look as the online reviews and the BBB... This company earns their low rating.

If I could give zero stars I would.... they give you a choice to pick different backgrounds (not impressive) - then you get your pictures taken.... however, you DON'T get to see any of the pictures (except a cap and gown photo for the year book) unless YOU ORDER a package from them! Biggest rip off, young college kids working there, lining people up like cattle to get photo's taken.... NOT IMPRESSED at all. Better idea - go get the cheapest deal from them if the schools require use, only get the cap and gown then take your kid out to have photos done wherever they want..... you take the photos! We did it with our daughter and son, and they turned out better than the options this place had and was cheaper! also, they don't remove your phone number from spam calls or text messages once they have it.... we've requested over 5 times.

Absolutely crooks who prey upon students and parents, holding hostage with unwanted portfolios and charging and refusing to refund. I will be contacting the school district for using these criminals as vendors.

CADY is the Absolute WORST! they basically try to rob parents blind. They play on parents because its very emtional for you having your child about to leave the nest. They seperate the packages and hold the cap and gown pictures HOSTAGE! so you have to pay additional and buy them seperate. Do not believe the GOOD REVIEWS! becaus they are reviews from employees. You should definitely schedule an appiontment with photographer and get quality pictures because these are overpriced and subpar. They even show you untouched pictures and try to chanrge you additonally to removed blemishes,DISGUSTING! but don't trust me. See for yourself just hold on to your credit card. Because if you don't they will charge for already returned items on time and argue. So glad I went elsewhere and got beautiful pictures for half the price. The schools should be ashamed allowing this company to rob parents for YEARS! just read the comments on other sites.

Website glitch that I paid for
I ordered my daughter’s senior photos on October 20th.
The 21st of October was the last day you could order and get the portfolio of pics for free. I waited until late to order because I didn’t have hundreds of dollars to spare.
I went through and did a pay in two payment plan on their website. On October 24th Cady charged me $229. I did not receive an email or a receipt. I assumed the photos wouldn’t be downloadable until I finished paying so I forgot about them.
December I realized I didn’t have the pics and checked the order. It was still saying pay later but had no buttons or links to pay. Christmas came along then our trip to Wisconsin to visit family in the hospital and I didn’t get back to looking into it.
January 31 I chatted with CADY and was told that I needed to reach out to Klarna to figure out why the payment didn’t go through. Klarna is the company CADY uses for payment plans. Unfortunately Klarna doesn’t have a phone number. Just email or chat so I put it off.
Today I chatted and they said that the screen shot I sent from my bank showed payment directly from CADY so I needed to call them. Klarna did not have record of my order.
I called CADY and was told that the order never went through. The charge was for the portfolio. But the portfolio was only supposed to be $150 plus tax and I was overcharged so they will reimburse me $50.
They will not reimburse me in full for the portfolio because I didn’t order in time for it to be free. Even though they can see my order in the system on October 20th and do not know why the order failed. They claim I put it in pay later status and never came back. There are no options to set up payment on my end so it obviously went past that point and errored.
I just had to pay the $425 to get pictures. That’s almost a months worth of groceries for us.
I also paid $79 just to go have the pictures taken. I am $733 into these pictures and still have cap and gown ones to purchase because those are sold separately.
And oh did I mention that this is the company you have to go through in order to get pictures in the yearbook?
Feeling very sad and angry that I was screwed. Yes I should have followed up sooner but life happens. Good companies support their clients.

We were so excited to take our daughter to her senior picture session.
After the photo session we briefly went over pricing. To our surprise and shock from the prices, we made an appointment to go back to the viewing.
Wow what a presentation, it was so beautiful. Then it's time for ordering and pricing.
If I wasn't sitting down I would of fell down. How this company can set pricing so high and then not advertise the prices before hand. It totally felt like we were scammed. We put almost 300$ down before the sitting, after the presentation they surprise you with the prices. In order to not loose your deposit you have to buy something. We decided on the book that cost an estimate of 700$. The flash drive that you can purchase with all photos on it and the rights to the pictures is 1,900.00$
One sheet of one pose is 99$,
We took our son to JC penny the year before, spent roughly 300$ and had so many wonderful photos and a free huge wall canvas. A book and rights to all his photos through Shutter Fly.
Mind you, our daughter attends a title 1 school, why this company does not publish their pricing is so wrong in so many ways, there is no way we would of booked anything with this business had we seen their prices before hand, as I know from talking to other parents they would not of either.
I would not spend 1900$ on any photo session, for senior pictures, anywhere.
We will now wait for our daughter's cap and gown to arrive and go back to JC Penny's for another photo session.

Horrible photographers!!!! They take photos of the seniors with their shirt & ties protruding out of their cap and gown photos and their ties and shirts crooked in the yearbook photos!! What kind of unprofessional, inexperienced people are they hiring!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could give a zero or negative star review. Had to pay to have photos taken for the year book. Refused to pay their overpriced rates for their poor quality photos. Then had to deal with the hassle of returning the portfolio I DID NOT ASK FOR! They don’t even send a return label. You have to go fishing through their site to find it and print it. Waste of time and money and terrible customer service. It took me two months to speak with anyone.

Received the photos I ordered. Photos are not good at all, we had a hard time finding ones that we really liked, they all look like one of my daughters were the photographers, Not great quality, really dark, and to top it off with the huge price tag, RIDICULOUS! if you are going to charge that much you need to do a professional job, this company is only taking advantage of us being parents and that we HAVE to have a memory from their senior year. I was so disappointed with the result, I really thought that the real photos would look a lot different from the proofs and I was wrong, they look exactly the same, dark and horrible. This session was for my youngest of 3 girls and I bought senior pictures for the other two and I have to say there is no comparison between them. Quality and price are much better than this company. It is extremely sad that the school has to put us in this position where we don't have another option but to take and accept this company, basically we do what they tell us to do. The end result, horrible pictures and $180 less in my pocket. I'll have to look for another company to retake the pictures or take them myself, I'm sure I'll do a better job than the kids your company hired to take pictures of our kids. I feel FRUSTRATED, DISAPPOINTED, SAD AND MAD that I had wasted my time and money for this horrible result.

There was no option but this company doesn't deserve a star even. They are literally cheaters who think they can play with parents emotions. Well, binding them is not a good way to get business, requesting would still work. I had taken $50 session and haven't received any pictures of my son, yet had to drop the portfolio pictures(never asked for it) to usps with no choice. Such a pathetic work ethic. Please don't do any business with these guys.

I would give them 0 stars. First of, their website is misleading, very hard to navigate and very confusing. It's meant to trick people into paying for more expensive packages. The people taking the photos appear to be teenagers (are they really photographers??). They send you a portfolio and if you don't return it within a certain period of time, they charge you $200! STEER CLEAR OF THIS SCAM. I didn't have a choice as my son's school hired them and we could only get photos through them. Oh and by the way, good luck trying to reach customer service. You'd be on hold for HOURS and even the chat service they have takes FOREVER before someone talks to you. I have no good things to say about this absolute despicable sorry excuse of a company!!!

Poor customer service, unhappy with senior portraits
I received my son's portraits and was disappointed that they were not retouched the way I had requested (and assumed I had paid for).
I'd had a lengthy discussion with the salesperson during our ordering session about the price for retouching, which initially was quoted as $29 per pose or $199 for all poses. But I was only purchasing 3 poses - so why should I pay $199? It should be more like $90. He left the room to speak with his manager, then came back in and said we could have all three retouched for the same price. I didn't notice on the order form that he only charged me for one retouching - and when I got the photos, none had been retouched correctly.
I spoke with a customer service rep (after a lengthy hold time) and she assured me that a manager would be contacting me and the issue would be resolved. I have yet to hear back, over 2 weeks later, and I can't reach anyone at the studio. It's beyond frustrating, a total rip-off for families. I'm going to work with our school system to see if we can do our school photos with a different company.
