Malware/virus, worst app ever. Do not install.

Images superbes avec des arrêts bien net, mais hélas fait freezer la souris en Bluetooth à la sortie de mise en veille, et pour pouvoir le désinstaller faut déjà arrêter son processus qui tourne fond ... pas très sérieux ça, tant pis je reste avec VLC moins performant mais bien plus fiable en moins usine à gaz!

Why is the software listed as "4-star" in the header, when EVERY SINGLE REVIEW is a "1-star"? :D

Awful software, doesn`t work properly and always require internet connection for some reason. Firstly was on Microsoft Store, where I get from. After I acknowledged some problems, found out then even Microsoft removed it from store. Better to avoid, strictly not recommend.

5k Player interfered with a legacy app that I use to transfer files from a Toppy PVR. 5k player not started by me so when attempting to uninstall it I discovered it was running in the background without my permission. 5k player appears to launch itself at startup so to uninstall you have to kill the process in task manager first. Bad practice by the developer{s). I wont be reinstalling. Shame as it plays h265 videos that VLC cant play. I will have to find another media player for those files VLC fails to play.

• Even a different video player is set as your default 5KPlayer still opens up. So annoying.
• Pops up even when not in use forcing a person to answer questions to get rid of it. This is wrong.
• The interface is far too complicated for a video player. Too many things to deal with when you just wanna play a video!

CANT EVEN REMOVE THE SOFTWARE WITHOUT TROUBLE

I Installed the piece of malware known as "5KPlayer" on my Mac, after VLC failed to play a 1080 MKV. 5KPlayer took over ALL video associations without notifying me and without my permission, which is annoying and rude. When I tired to watch a video in the 5KPlayer malware, there was a persistent pop-up ad in the upper right corner of my screen to buy video conversion software. This pop-up advertisement appeared OVER-TOP of the video I was watching, and there was no way to close or dismiss this advertisement. I figured, fine, I'll just delete this useless 5KPlayer riddled with adware. Easier said than done! Like others who have left honest reviews here, I ran into MAJOR headaches trying to get the 5KPlayer malware off of my computer completely. This 5KPlayer malware wouldn't let me delete the app from the Applications folder. So, I browsed the contents of the app, deleted the "contents" folder and everything it contained, and then emptied the recycle bin. I then tried moving the now-empty 5KPlayer app to the recycle bin, but the system wouldn't let me, prompting me with a message that somehow, despite the contents of the app being deleted, the app itself IS STILL RUNNING!!! Doesn't show up on the Force-Quit menu. This just SCREAMS "Malware!" Even the "CleanMyMac" program wasn't able to uninstall this piece of malware masquerading as a video player. There is something MAJORLY shady going on when all the contents of an app have been deleted, yet the system says the app is still running, despite this app not showing up in the Force-Quit menu, and not showing up from "ps -ax" in the terminal, unless it's very well obfuscated and hidden as a process not named "5k" or "player". I had to "sudo rm -rf /Applications/5KPlayer.app/" from the terminal just to get the program out of Applications, but I still fear there may be obfuscated malware from 5KPlayer running in the background. Avoid this malware like the plague! No legit media player would EVER display a persistent pop-up over the video you're watching, let alone refuse to let itself be uninstalled from your system. I'll be contacting my state's attorney general to look into the scam of a company passing off their malware as a video player.

I agree with the majority of authentic reviews here. This app behaves exactly like trojanware - it makes all kinds of changes to your system without any notice & was designed to be very difficult to uninstall. No one would code a piece of software like this unless they have bad intentions....

Très bon produit, m'a permis de lire des films en UHD 2180p alors qu'aucun autre lecteur n'y arrivait sans bug majeur (image instable, son qui ne suit pas correctement l'image, application qui ne réponds plus correctement, même VLC ne voulait pas le faire)

Hace cosas que otras no hacen, a mi me es muy útil para reproducir las pelis ISO y para proyectar contenido desde el móvil al pc de manera inalámbrica. El DLNA y Airplay está genial también. Pero, consume mucho recurso en segundo plano, además no entiendo por qué extrañamente mantiene consumiendo internet sin estar en uso.

Es un buen reproductor multimedia, aunque los medios de acceso a la extracción de los vídeos o audios, deberían ser más claros y fáciles de llegar, además de que tuve una intromisión de una chica hablando en medio de la recopilación, repitiendo la misma frase continuamente.

Worst player around, avoid! It frequently fails to find videos even on popular sites like youtube! And even if it does find the video, its very difficult to get it to play. Customer support is also none-existent! TERRIBLE. What are the devs thinking?

This is really just a scam, packaged in a very pretty sheep's clothing...Never trust media player companies with the stock layout and images from their web building template.

BEWARE
This player messed up my Bluetooth drivers (windows 10), it stutters sound, gets out of sync and disconnects any bluetooth device...I spent 2 days trying to troubleshoot why my bluetooth was acting that way without luck (I even reinstalled all my sound/bluetooth drivers). My last resort was to reset my computer to get it back to normal use, I had to compromise all my apps and some data :[ After resetting, everything was fine until I reinstalled the player and almost instantly noticed the culprit. Pretty upsetting because I liked the player.

Uses much of CPU resource.. Other than this very good.

Ich habe die Drohne Mavcic 2 von dji mit der man auch Videos im H265.Codec aufnehmen kann. Der 5KPlayer ist, neben zweien meiner Videoschnittprogrammen, der einzige Videoplayer, der diese Videos im H265-Codec einwandfrei wiedergibt! Das schafft nicht mal der aktuellste und dazu noch sehr teure Power DVD 20 Player von Cyberlink! Super!
Was ich mir allerdings wünschen würde, und deshalb "nur" vier Sterne, wäre, dass man mit dem Player gleichzeitig mehrere Dateien laden und Videos in einem Verzeichnis nacheinander abspielen könnte.

It plays dvds unlike microsoft and the picture is great.Unfortunately none of the controls work.i can't get it to fast forward or go backward and snapshot doesn't work at all.I have written twice and have gotten non helpful comments
