We would also like to clarify that we do not state anywhere that FC27 is available for Steam. The YouChoose Gaming range offers a selection of gaming brands, gift cards and digital gaming titles, but not every title is available across every platform. In this case, FC27 was available for Xbox, not Steam.

Our website clearly displays the products available before a redemption is made, allowing customers to choose the option that best meets their needs.

We do not state anywhere that Steam credit is available through the YouChoose Gaming card. Unfortunately, Steam does not permit its credit to be offered through our platform. What we do offer is a wide range of gaming content, including thousands of digital gaming titles that are compatible with Steam, alongside other gaming brands and products.

The requirement to create an account is an important security measure that helps protect gift card balances and customer accounts. As a 2-step multi-retailer gift card, YouChoose provides recipients with flexibility and choice that a single-brand gift card cannot offer.

All available brands, products and redemption options are displayed on the platform before you make an exchange, allowing customers to browse the available options and select the one that best suits their needs.

Our team advised that the card had already been redeemed, which is why it could not be used again on this occasion.

The purpose of a multi-retailer gift card such as YouChoose is to offer recipients choice, flexibility and security, allowing them to decide where they would like to spend their gift rather than being restricted to a single retailer.

Your YouChoose card has a 12-month validity period from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of time to decide how you would like to use it. Once you exchange your YouChoose credit for a retailer gift card, that code will have its own validity period, which begins from the date of exchange. This means customers have ample time both to choose their preferred retailer and to spend their voucher.

We're sorry to hear you experienced difficulties accessing your account. The verification process is an important security measure designed to protect customers and their gift card balances.

We can also see that this email address has successfully used YouChoose on three separate occasions between 2024 and 2026, which is why we're somewhat confused that this latest experience appears to have been so different from your previous redemptions.

Having reviewed your order, we can see that you successfully selected a Sainsbury's gift card, which was sent to your email address on 8 October at 8:46pm, just 2 minutes after your order was placed. We would also like to clarify that it is not correct to say you cannot purchase Steam or Nintendo content using the YouChoose Gaming card. Whilst Steam & Nintendo wallet credit is not available through our platform due to brand restrictions, we do offer Steam-compatible gaming titles, and Nintendo titles are also available within our gaming catalogue.

We can also see that you successfully exchanged your YouChoose credit for a B&M gift card on 7 October 2026. The B&M code is valid for 24 months from the date of exchange, meaning it does not expire until 7 October 2028. Therefore, the voucher is not expired and remains available for you to use.

Your JD Sports code was originally sent at 4:31pm on 3rd October, just 2 minutes after your order was successfully processed. After you contacted our Customer Services team to advise that you had not received the email, Ryan resent the code on 6th October at 9:17am.

Having spoken with Ryan, your account of the conversation does not reflect his recollection and there appears to have been a misunderstanding. Ryan advised that when you contacted us, he located your order and resent the JD Sports code as requested. Following this, you queried a £0 balance, which Ryan understood to be a query relating to the balance of the JD Sports voucher itself rather than your YouChoose account. As JD Sports manages and maintains its own gift card platform, we are unable to access their systems to view voucher activity or balances, which is why he directed you to JD Sports for assistance.

We also understand that you have been speaking with Caitlin from our Customer Services team this morning, who has offered to send the code for a third time to an alternative email address in case your email provider is filtering or blocking the voucher emails. We would always recommend checking your spam, junk and promotions folders, as gift card emails can sometimes be automatically filtered there.

Our team remains happy to assist and will continue working with you to ensure you receive your voucher.
