Blocked out after 2 years of smooth use – Very disappointing
I’ve been using YouChooseAGift for 2 years without a single issue, but today has been terrible. Every time I try to access the site, I’m met with an Imperva security screen stating my connection has been completely blocked. I’ve tried clearing my browser cache and switching to different browsers, but the firewall continues to block me for no reason. Extremely frustrating experience.

ridiculously complicated process to register the card/account. I am doing this on behalf of my elderly mother who would have no chance of doing this on her own. Unnecessary account creation required, Captcha pictures which make no sense and emails sent requiring confirmation that are not notified within the web page. Blatant tactics to prevent users from redeeming the card IMHO. Would not recommend this for anyone.

My gift card wouldn’t work. I then spent ages trying to talk to customer service with only bots available. £100 Christmas present wasted!
Update: Following the below reply I had to reach out to customer service twice to get a response. I had to explain my issue 3 times before being told that they would not help, refund my purchase or offer any support. Their main suggestion was that I made a second £100 purchase.
Absolute waste of time and money. Atrocious product and customer support.

We believe this review is incorrect. Having checked our records, we can see that you successfully exchanged your £100 YouChoose credit for a Wonderbox digital code, which was sent to the email address associated with your account on 13 October at 9:31pm.
As the exchange was completed successfully and the code was issued, we are therefore unclear why you believe your gift card "wouldn't work" or that your £100 Christmas present was wasted.
Regarding customer service, as stated within the live chat, our team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. If a query is submitted outside of these hours, a member of the team will respond on the next working day. While our chatbot can assist with common questions, any issues requiring investigation are handled by our customer service team.

It’s absolutely ridiculous how you have to register and choose the store online.. but then once you’ve chosen your store of choice, you could be waiting 48 hours for your barcode to come through. So I had to leave the shop and pay for my items because I was waiting for the barcode to come through after choosing the store!!!

We always recommend that customers exchange their YouChoose credit well in advance of visiting a store to avoid any potential delays and to ensure their chosen retailer code has been received before they reach the checkout.
In your particular case, we can see that your Primark gift code was dispatched on 13 October, just 2 minutes after your order was processed, which is considerably faster than the maximum delivery timeframe advised during busy periods. As a result, we are unclear why you felt you had to leave the store and pay for your items rather than waiting for the gift card to arrive.

Absolutely awful. Customer service takes forever and a day to get back to you, I wrote what was wrong on the live chat and they emailed days later asking what was up.. read the chat?!
Also don't bother with the gaming cards. I got it for robux and you can't even use it on that let alone use it on PS4 games. Pointless!! £20 wasted on utter crap.

We would also like to clarify that the YouChoose Gaming card is a multi-retailer gift card that can be exchanged for a range of participating gaming and entertainment brands. We do not advertise that it can be redeemed directly for PS4 games. The available exchange options are displayed on the platform before a redemption is made.
As such, we do not agree that your £20 has been "wasted", as the credit can still be exchanged for one of the participating retailers available on the card.
