Waited 12minutes for an agent, no joy, went on live chat, typed message but no send button so couldn't chat.
Abysmal service

Excellent company went out of their way to find obsolete cistern, got it at a good price, extreamly helpful, recommended

I ask this because I cannot offer any other reason to explain my recent experience at the Ascot Drive Wolseley's Plumb Centre, which has compelled me to review them with the lowest possible rating Trustpilot permits.

I was lost for words when Alan informed me today that they were not interested in progressing an order that required them to take a deposit payment to allow another Plumb Centre branch to deliver the materials for me.

Robin, the manager, had previously agreed to this arrangement the day before. ( I had witnessed his dialogue with the other branch regarding an ordering process that he was unfamiliar with. )

Previously, I had spent time pricing the materials, agreeing on specifications with my client, speaking with the other Plumb Centre branch concerning delivery and their receiving payment, and multiple visits to the Ascot Drive Branch, including one to provide them with a copy of my quote which they had inexplicably lost.

I was informed of this decision without apology and in blatant contradiction to an understanding given the day before.

The absence of any acknowledgement of the consequence that this would have on my ability to honour a commencement date for my client was utterly absent, which I found insulting.

It may be the case that Alan's appalling behaviour resulted from him acting as a "Mouthpiece" for Robin to address his weaknesses to act as a professional branch manager. Previously, I have always found Alan to be friendly, helpful, and decent.

However, there was a positive to all of this. I decided to visit another merchant called Willbonds, who were local, hoping they would resolve my predicament.

And they did!

With an immediate response that demonstrated expertise, patience and commitment to delivering a service that deserves full credit and five stars.

Much appreciated, Willbonds; I can now honour my commitment to my client.

Tried calling their helpline to sort out an ongoing problem with a programmer. I waited for one hour and 10 mins before the call ended

Warning Went to shop and bought a packet of system washer (£2.17 + vat ) over the counter and was charge an additional £1 + vat for package and carriage.
Sale assistant lifted them off the display stand and handed them to me!

Went to SBS leeds for a philmac 20mm T junction he told me he didn’t have one but looked on the internet and told me wolseley had one down the road very helpful and even apologised for not having one very helpful great staff. So I went to wolseley to be told they didn’t have one so I asked if he had any ideas where to get one he said not a clue so I came home and looked on the internet only to find out wolseley Huddersfield had seven in stock so rang Huddersfield and spoke to LEZ on the counter who told me he did have seven on stock but would also look on the internet to see if he could find me one closer to Wakefield so I wouldn’t have to travel to Huddersfield but couldn’t also very helpful thank you LEZ. The point of this review is the counter man in wolseley leeds could have looked on the other branches stock and told me that Huddersfield had seven and got the company that he works for and pays his wages a sale and save me half a day running around but didn’t even bother that he had missed a sale. All these little sales that this man is missing probably add up to a lot of money so when the company complains sales could be better thank your leeds counter man who has no people skills and no interest in making money for the company’s survival.

Do they only have 1 person serving in the Northwich branch?

Abysmal customer service…queued for 15 mins, 1 person in front, gave up.

Returned an hour later, unfortunately same experience….won’t be calling here anytime soon for parts…..Amazon here we come.

I have used the Warrington branch of Wolseley for several years. As a competent DIY’er (I like to think!) one of the things that makes the branch staff stand out is the friendly help and service they give to their customers - regardless whether you are like me or a professional tradesperson. I have observed this many times when going into their branch with other customers around. They are always prepared to go the extra mile to help you with advice, finding the best way to do a job, obtaining materials quickly at short notice etc. This level of friendly service is so refreshing in this day and age. Well done to the team at Warrington – keep up the good work!

The staff at ammanford branch are exquisite. Customer service is at a high level. They always accommodate my needs. Dan is such a dream boat and I get lost in his eyes on every visit. Highly recommend this branch!

I’m from Newcastle, went to Stockton branch, older guy on the counter was great, the young lad needs customer service training. Miserable, when I spoke to him he blanked me “a paying customer”

I wouldn't use these again. Bought a dual flush outlet valve today for £27. Just been online because I was curious of what other places are charging,?..I could've bought it for half the price.What a mug, I'll do my homework next time.

What a great service on offer from The Ammanford branch today!
I phoned yesterday to enquire about a boiler part and this morning I collected it!
Very friendly service and also very competitive price! What more could you ask? Excellent!

Very bad customer service at the Huddersfield branch. The guy serving me didn’t care about my needs. As I’m not a plumber, he treated me dumb. All I needed was a pipe for my outside tap. It took him around 10 minutes on the computer messing about, only to say that they didn’t have any in stock. So I had to ask when they would it be in stock. He replied tomorrow. Then he went onto say they didn’t have the end parts and pretty much said he couldn’t get any. I thought this was funny for a place that’s mean to supply these parts. It’s was only 15mm tubing with the end parts, how hard can this be to get. I told him to forget it, I’ll go to Wickes. They had everything I needed and it was very simple.

Always gives me a headache needing to use a wolseley. Makes me regret ever being a gas engineer and having to deal with people that they employ behind the counters

Wolseley Plumbing Evesham branch is amazing. Why? Well, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and very, very helpful and friendly. I have spent several minutes on the phone discussing my plumbing/heating problems with the counter staff and, imo, what they don’t know ain’t worth knowing.
Prices are extremely competitive and they do deliver, except I like a little chat with these amiable people so it’s a joy to take a trip to the Evesham premises.
It’s an old school store, which is a rarity these days.

Excellent service from very knowlegeable staff at Castleford branch!

Needed a part for my shower plug and the helpful and polite gent behind the counter found it after searching for a few minutes. He ordered it and said it would be here next day from the distribution centre, which it was!

I would highly reccommend to anyone who needs plumbing parts or fixings! Please pass my regards to Luke for taking the time to help, and now I have a shower that no longer blocks up! 5* from me!

Shocking service, borderline fraudulent. Avoid.

went to Castlewellan to get a new valve/cartridge for my kitchen tab. I had to wait a while while he was dealing with a "local" Plumber for a while. when i told what i need he said "i don't know what your talking about" Yes i am not a "local" but i think my english is alright. When i showed him the Tab for which i need the replacement Cartridge for he then showed me a complete set of of warm and cold tabs (which i don't need) he told me only complete set i told him i just need a cartridge replacement he repeated arrogantly "only a complete set" Hi attitude from the beginning , as soon as he noticed i am a foreigner was NEGATIVE. anyway i got what i needed from another store for £4.50 not a complete set for £20+

Not surprised that more than half reviews are bad. Customer service is terrible and they don't care.
I'm 83 and my heating broke down at Christmas. Ordered necessary spare part on line for collection from Ipswich store (to avoid delivery delays), paid £120, received email confirmation of order number and collection date of Dec 30. Drove 22 miles to store on that date, order was not there, order number not on store's computer system. All attempts to contact Wolseley by email, live text and phone are fruitless. They still have my money.
