Wolseley UK Arvostelua 

First time reviewer here, bought an expensive (£200+) gas valve to collect from their Andover branch. I drove 45 minutes to collect the part - they didn't have it (despite the website saying otherwise), so no hot water for the weekend. I come back on the Monday, and it turns out the DID have it all along, the person behind the counter just didn't think to check under the Click and Collect desk. I ask into the potential of a partial refund, or a discount for the part, and after ten/fifteen minutes of this person disappearing to talk to their manager, I'm told to call customer service, which I do. I'm currently on my fourth attempt - first time the service assistant accidentally hung up whilst saying 'hello', second time I'm transferred to the online team, and get hung up on again whilst this transfer is happening, and now I have been waiting for about half an hour and typing this review in the meantime. I suspect - as I managed to explain that I was looking for a refund on the second attempt - my phone number has been added to a block list, and I'll remain on hold indefinitely.

The part I was sold is fine, though for the price (nearly twice what I was expecting), I would have hoped they'd train their staff a bit better. I'm also slightly annoyed by the answering machine telling me 'Do you know you can get 10% off your first online order?' - no, no I did not, and looking at the website now I see no sign of this offer anywhere.

I will go out of my way to make sure I don't order from Wolseley again. And if they reply to this review with anything other than at least 'we'll get that 10% back you weren't offered', they will be ignored.

As a regular to the Kidderminster branch and spending £200,000 a year the service is terrible. Two weeks ago I complained about ignored emails, being charged for items we haven’t received, orders not fulfilled plus various other issues. Well this week every email ignored since Monday (it’s now Wednesday eve) also ignored are quotes and orders and phone calls not returned. Today one of my engineers was kept 40 minutes waiting to be served.

I have recently used Wolesley in Cowley Oxford. I Had excellent service from Sam. Parts were ordered and delivery promptly if required. Good catalogue with most parts as required.
I have tried to set up an account but alas thier system would not allow me to do so. No joy with thier central office credit control either.

I had almost 2k taking out from my account without permission, called them numerous times and being told that your money will be back in your account in 2 days and yet still nothing, this firm is a joke. Just reported to police for fraud.

I have contact your branch at Stoke on Trent by email and phone several times regarding a failed pressie vessel which was under warranty. The email that has been sent 3 times is as follows.Further to our conversation regarding the failure of the expansion vessel supplied by yourselves please find attached a copy of the original purchase order as requested. As I stated n the phone the original order supplied was a Jet 500 litre Potable Expansion Vessel Product code SO4919. This Vessel was found to be too large for the space that it was to be located and installed so was exchanged with yourselves for a smaller Jet 300 litre Potable Expansion Vessel Product code SO4918 serial number 27/186087/15 which was obviously smaller . It is my understanding as per the Wolseley website this item is covered by a 5 year warranty. We have already had a replacement installed as a matter of urgency as it failed on Friday 19/8/22 and we cannot survive without water for the house, dogs and cats . The vessel would not maintain pressure and the borehole pump was constantly switching off and on trying to maintain pressure and at risk of burning out. We are not on mains water by have a borehole for our water supply. for the house and also our kennel buildings. Obviously I now have a failed Expansion Vessel which is of no use to me.
I have been told by staff at Stoke on Trent {K19} that they are waiting a response from HQ as the vessel had been installed and are unsure what to do as it is now used. As the vessel obviously had to be installed before it could fail. Unfortunately I am having to use Trustpilot as I cannot get an answer from my supplying depot and am stuck with a broken pressure vessel as there is no way of contacting customer services

Superb customer service from the staff at Bognor Regis branch. Sorted a problem with a defective shower tray without any drama whatsoever....got my replacement tray the next morning. One very happy customer!

My heating engineer asked me to go to Wolseley to collect and pay for a part I need for my boiler for him to replace to save him some time, which I did. (He was going to squeeze my job in at the end of the day and didn't have time to get there and collect the part before they closed). Wolseley said that they had charged me the correct trade price with the discount that the local heating engineers get, including my engineer. I paid 25.18 plus vat for a part that I have now found out I could have bought for 12.52 plus vat from another merchants nearby even as a non-trade customer. Identical manufacturers original part, identical part number. What a rip-off of a company. I wouldn't buy a tap washer from them now.

I was asked by an engineer at my home to phone Wolseley, Aylesford re the price and availability of a required part?. The lady said part hard to get and price was £252. I gave the engineer £260 cash to collect (1.5m). On return he wouldn't give me any receipt or change. Being suspicious I later went to the store and found the True Retail price Inc VAT was £189. I contacted the Wolseley complaints department and received a phone call from the area manager who told me the bill was put onto his Climate Centre account?, hence the higher price. What Nonsense. The engineer and Wolseley are well matched. (The part is also freely available from REPUTABLE outlets for less than half), Not much fun being old and vulnerable. ----- N.B , I have ALREADY been through Wolseley's complaint procedure, Area Manager phoned me and said she could understand my complaint but "Although it was an Abnormality it was not dishonest". HER WORDS. Really !. I believed the price quoted by their staff to be genuine, who wouldn't ?. No mention by anyone of ANY accounts etc, just a price of £252.I believed it to be a cash sale and gave the engineer £260 in cash to collect. (Very convenient that he had spoken to the staff member less than an hour previous).I reiterate, Wolseley and the engineer are well suited.

I was helping my son fit a shower tray and cubicle in a poorly fitted wet room; water was getting under the flooring. I had difficulty finding a fitting to connect the outflow of the shower tray to the waste runaway of the wet room. The assistant in Wolseley Nantwich branch could not have been more helpful; I am just sorry that I did not get his name. I explained the problem and he took the time to help me solve it. Brilliant customer service. Thank you.

Wolseley North Finchley. Waited nearly 10 minutes to be priced nearly £9 for a Washing machine valve.!!!!!! Goodness. Branch has gone to hell since old manager left to go to Competitor

staff seem uninterested and just don’t care. no urgency slow on counter and customer service non existent

Wolseley Leeds are great. Good guys at Victoria Rd plumb and parts. Proper knowledge and been serving my company for years.
Keep up the great work lads!

1. Online order cancelled, no courtsey to inform via email/phone to tell about it.

2. I called the store next day of schedule collection, was informed all of my items are available and ready for collection.

3. At store made me wait for an hour, while they PHYSICALLY check the stock and half of items were not available. Have to pay extra as the online price is not available in store (actual order was cancelled); received half the goods, couple of hours down the drain.

Never again.

I bought a boiler and for some reason don’t have it in stock so I cancel the order for a refund but I still waiting more them 4 weeks and I don’t have it don’t buy for this company is poor service and communication. I’m disappointed with the service is offering.

I ordered a boiler through the website which unfortunately turned out to be unavailable - I already knew that it was out of stock at several places so I wasn't surprised. Within 10 minutes I had an email from the web team letting me know about this and offering me a refund. However, even before the online team had contacted me I had a call from the Tenby branch where I was due to collect. The manager there, John, couldn't have been more helpful, he explained the issue, checked how much flexibility I had on the spec, and then went through all of the alternative options, checking availability and pricing as he went along. In the end he found a slightly up-spec equivalent which he managed to get very close on price. I can't fault the service, he really wanted to help and that's a rare thing. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Both chaps could not have been more helpful and cheerful. Purchase of small radiator. and in stock as well. Newark n

Does anyone actually answer the phone at this company! I cannot give zero stars so had to give one.

I can not recommend or praise Rich, at The depot In Eastleigh enough. I was remote in Worcestershire and had overseas engineers working in Southampton. Rich was just so helpful. Willing to go above and beyond and out of his way to help. Truly excellent service that’s hard to come across.
