Absolutely the most unprofessional service you could imagine - listing was put in wrong category causing a poor sale and a right couple of nasty women working at the Patchway branch! Especially the branch manager! heard them talking bad about people and making fun - it was like a school playground in there - AVOID!

Bad experience

With this company. Was told one thing by one agent and something else by another. Long wait times and the manager of the property just seemed to disappear. They will take all your money from a deposit but are clearly the ones at fault. Have to now go through TDS to raise a dispute after waiting over a month for anything.

I would highly recommend Westcoast. Jack was always available to help.

My husband and I were buying a house in East Brent through bur ham on sea estate agents I won’t name him but he knows who he is our agents got together with a plan and brokered a deal to move forward with no 19 red house high ridge road we bent over backwards to make the transition easy for the vendors as they were leaving the country before Christmas we were told everything was and moving forward as discussed ,fast forward to 12 of January West coast bur ham on sea sold the house to some one else and never contacted or communicated what was going on allowing us to counter offer or discuss the matter further,zero communication We were informed casually the house had been sold to some one else never have I been more shocked blindsided and blatantly lied to from a person who is supposed to be in a position of trust I would never trust this estate agents again the under hand way this has been executed is a disgusting disgraceful way for an Estate agents to act what should have been a simple house sale has left me completely shocked at the sly underhand treatment we have recieved shame on you know who you are 😡 Avoid this agent

This review relates to the Portishead branch, the team have been so helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They’ve been flexible and allowed me multiple buyers reviews to go in and measure the property & always available when needed. Sharon the moving manager was the sole reason this sale eventually went through, pushing my solicitors (dreadful company- never use Muve…) and helping/ advising and supporting! She has been incredible throughout the sale, without her I think it would have taken about a year to exchange! Fantastic service all round.

We recently bought our property through Westcoast Properties in Portishead, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Nick Webber was our main agent, and his communication was fantastic — always quick to respond to emails and follow up on any queries. He was easy to talk to, offered great advice, and made the whole process feel smooth and straightforward.

We also met Daniel Wheeler during our viewings, who was extremely polite and friendly. He even helped keep our daughter entertained while we spoke with a builder, which we really appreciated!

May 6th2025 I viewed a property in Nailsea with Emily, she was very knowledgeable about the property and very professional. answered all my questions. I had a second viewing 9/8/2025 and made an offer.
Throughout the process I was kept informed of all events by Ashley in a very professional way,
I would highly recommend Westcoast Properties.

The team at Patchway all worked hard to sell my house for me. They were not put off when buyers dropped out, and were quick out of the blocks to remarket it. They provided sound advice based on local knowledge and experience.

The flat wasn’t leasehold!!! Says it all.

It took the Burnham branch over 10 months to sell my 2 bed starter home.
The first buyer's chain fell through (not the agent's fault), but they were unaware of a branch of the chain, which, had I been aware of, I would have pulled out earlier.
The second buyer was a first time buyer and I accepted the offer on condition of a quick sale. My solicitor suggested that they buy the searches from the previous buyer and that this could be speedy. I asked WC to convey this. Weeks later the buyer hadn't even put the solicitor is funds for searches. It dragged on and on and every time I needed updates, I had to chase WC and virtually tell them what to do.
I finally met the 'snowflake ' buyer when they requested yet another look at the property. It was quite clear that none of the urgency had been passed forward by the agent. They hadn't even discussed dates and felt that they hadn't taken long.
This lack of expediency cost me thousands of pounds in lost rent and utility bills.
WEST COAST BURNHAM ON SEA NEED TO BE REMINDED THAT THEY WORK FOR THE VENDOR AND NOT THE BUYER!
They need a dedicated progressor and they need to be much much more proactive. I would not recommend.

I would like to compliment Daniel Wheeler, I met him for the first time on the 30th of June 2025, for a viewing at one of the properties they had on the market,he was extremely well mannered and came across very well, he knew quite a bit about the property and was very easy to talk to.

I have also met him again this week at another property to view, spoke to him on the phone prior to the viewing and explained the property very well to me, also he knew quite a bit of history on the property which is very helpful, Daniel is a very polite young man comes across very well, very professional and very helpful which is what you need when you are looking for a property, thank you very much Daniel for your help.

Writing as a former tenant who is unbelievably glad I’m not anymore!

All in all we are beyond grateful to no longer rent through Westcoast because frankly they are useless and are happy to continue working with rogue landlords and violating legally binding contacts.

We dealt with the Burnham branch mainly but also Weston and nailsea. Our issues started at the very beginning of our tenancy as the landlady didn't have the correct paperwork up to date for us to move in. Then when we did eventually move in we spent a year and half basically doing both the landlady’s and westcoast jobs for them.
Two weeks after we moved in the integrated fridge broke, we reported this straight away and it took 4 weeks for it to eventually be replaced. All while we were constantly chasing it. We were still paying for this fridge as part of our tenancy I might add! When it was eventually replaced it was replaced with a smaller fridge, not that big of a deal but rather annoying given the time it took.
We had multiple other issues during our tenancy including window hinges not working, boiler loosing pressure etc all of which took longer than a reasonable time to be addressed.
Our main issue what the drainage in the kitchen, it took literal months for this to be sorted which caused water to back up into the washing machine. The washing machine sat for months with stagnant water in it causing it to no longer work, again still paying for a non fiction appliance as part of our rent. This could have been resolved if the drainage problem was address when initially brought up. We ended up replacing the washing machine ourselves after months of emails and calls, all to continuously be told the landlady was unreachable and that they couldn’t do anything without her prior consent.

This was the excuse we always got however contractually westcoast is obligated to fix issues in the property if the landlady is unreachable. Our contract told us specifically that westcoast managed the property on our landlady’s behalf, essentially making them the landlord.

After all the stress that was caused by westcoast and the landlady they still had to cheek to change us to have the oven cleaned, even though we left the property spotless.
