When trying to validate the gift experience voucher you will be asked towards the end of the on line registration at the very end to enter details of the original receipt when purchased. The chances are you won’t have an original receipt as the experience gift has been given to you as exactly that ..a gift, possibly Purchased a couple of months ago .
So NO original till receipt - NO codes - NO go .
Activity superstore must be making a fortune out of this as many folk such as myself can’t redeem this gift .
Am reporting this to trading standards as well as BBC Watchdog . Total con . Beware Beware Beware !!!!!!! Don’t buy !!!!!!

Very complicated to use, when booking an appointment for an afternoon tea on a Sunday, despite the offer being listed as available to use on a Sunday, when I called the venue, they said they do not accept them on Sundays. We then booked elsewhere but after booking everything online and quoting activation numbers, you still have to remember to take the small card with you as a place we had booked, said we would have to pay in full if we did not provide the card on the visit, so because I had forgotten the card, we couldn't eat there. We are now in the process of booking another venue before it expires, there is not much choice and you have to travel to venues so not really convenient. You would think a city as large os Sheffield would have more choice than one venue available for Afternoon Tea!

Like so many people who have left a review I think this company rips people off. I was gifted a pet photoshoot by my son and now can't use the voucher as we don't have the receipt. Complete waste of money to buy from this company and they're not willing to help.

If I could give no stars I would. Given as a gift, no receipt therefore cannot use it. The company must be making a fortune from people who are unable to provide a receipt. Very disappointed.

Yet another review to say that not having the original purchase receipt means you can't use the voucher. If usemygift actually read these reviews, NOBODY THINKS TO GIVE THE RECEIPT TO THE RECIPIENT, IT GIVES AWAY HOW MUCH YOU SPENT ON THEIR GIFT. An unused code and security code in the box should be sufficient to validate. Morons.

Hurry up and go out of business so that you can stop ripping people off.

GOOD EXPERIENCE - I have read all the negative reviews for this site but I thought that I should report that my own experience was complex but good. I had to go through lots of data type pages but eventually I got there and my experience is booked .
So ... bottom line is that you must have the gift receipt and you must be prepared to go through quite a few pages to submit data but (for me) it was a positive experience

Having read all the negative reviews of usemygift.com I was a bit wary of something going wrong, however I was pleasantly surprised. Chose the fine dining experience for two and the voucher was accepted at the restaurant no problem. Only thing I would say, if you live somewhere in the sticks (ie here in Devon) there was only 1 thing you could chose if you received this voucher as a present. However, the dining experience (this was the only choice) was great, nice food and good all round. So, to negate all those negative reviews, this one is 100% positive.

Having been given a hotel voucher as a present,I booked in a hotel which subsequently and suddenly shut down without informing me.
On contacting usemygift I had an online chat with Olivia who promptly offered to reset the voucher and extend the date on it.
Very pleased with the outcome.

We were given a voucher for a meal for 2 with 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine for Loch Fyne in York. When we arrived we choose what we wanted to order from the main menu and then presented the voucher to the waitress, to then be told we couldn't choose from the main menu and was given a very small menu with nothing my husband or I wanted. We complained and even offered to pay the difference but was still told this could not be possible. What would have happened if we hadn't presented the voucher until after the meal we had ordered from the main menu? I would like an explanation why this happened, it was very embarrassing.

Just looking at redeeming my afternoon tea gift voucher only to find you need a code from the purchase receipt, why? It’s clearly been purchased and is obviously a way of ensuring that many vouchers will not be redeemed. I really hope they go out of business, why are Argos supporting them?

I’m an in the process of emailing the company as I am having the same experience as everyone on here. My lovely friend kindly bought a spa day and afternoon tea for me but I have no receipt. She has actually sent me her statement which I have emailed along with validation code and everything thing else they have asked for. Let’s see what other hoops they can find so they don’t actually have to give us the experience. Totally disgusting so far. Iv used plenty of voucher companies before and never come across this. Not one good review

I bought a hotel 2 night. Experience for a valentines day present but it backfired as no hotels would book in busy periods. So I thought OK when wifey has time off work we can book. But no! The hotels in Cornwall and Bournemouth were all busy and only take out of season bookings. When I told the lady that it is
all a bit rubbish in the nicest way she agreed and said the company were rubbish and they won't do business with them next year. Fingers crossed I can use it before it runs out. I will never use again and I will check before I buy.

Got a tea for two voucher from my daughter for my birthday which doesn’t expire till 1st December 2019. Unfortunately if you don’t have a till receipt, you don’t get the voucher validated. Obviously I don’t have the till receipt or does my daughter 3 months on, and no proof of purchase, so the validation number on the gift card becomes void.
This company is a total ripoff as there is only a tiny message on the underside of the gift box, saying you need a till receipt to redeem this voucher.
Shocking that this company is still active in fleecing the public.

got as a present from my son at xmass 2019. Went to book Segway activate voucher but then they want the till receipt number which was bought from Morrisons. As I don't have till receipt some 7 months later, they then ask for bank statement or credit card statement from my son, which I am certainly not going to ask him for. Went to Morrisons the chap at customer service was brilliant stating I think we could refund it and give you a new one. After ten minutes he returned to tell me his manager said no that I needed the original till receipt. I shop in Morrisons in Ayr all the time will now be changing to another supermarket

Just wish I read these reviews before I purchased the voucher. Absolutely shocking customer service via email as they do not respond!! To add insult to injury the go-karting is double the price than if you book direct. Think I will contact trading standards

Unable to book hotel, told to book 2 months later. Then said room wasn’t available & asked us to upgrade & pay supplement. Tried contacting “use my gift” impossibility.

I was given a Pet Photoshoot gift for Christmas. I went to book it today and although I live in a highly populated area near Heathrow my nearest location is miles away in Watford. I think the whole process is a con to get you to spend more money. You have to spend 2 hours at the photo session and then go back again to choose a picture. Given that they will be digital pictures there is no reason the pictures could not be reviewed and chosen in one session and the chosen picture posted. Luckily it was only £20 and the gift is now in the bin as it is useless. I also suspect that recovering the £35 you have to pay at booking would not be straight forward and they will pressurise you to spend it on extra pictures. For £20 I could get a nice picture printed by one of the many digital companies and delivered to my door.

I bought a £99 'Two night getaway' experience as a gift for my boyfriends birthday. Reading the small print, we discovered it could not be used on a bank holiday weekend so we contacted our desired hotel location and they said we could use it that weekend and pay a supplement. The supplement took the cost from £99 to £208. Whilst staying there, we discovered we could have booked the same trip on their website for only £174. We queried this with the hotel as we felt ripped off to the tune of £34 but their response was that £99 is not the amount redeemable?! Total con, very disappointed.

Indulgent spa day fir two Bought as a Xmas present. Tried to book the promised facial, massage and 1 other treatment but the choice has been changed now ... no longer are facials included in the so called indulgent spa treatments ... ridiculous! How can they change the terms and conditions ... don’t touch these so called deals ... they are an absolute con!!!

Just like others my son bought me this voucher for Xmas what a waste of money there are no spa’s in Devon, you would think by his address they would have guessed he wanted it for DEVON 🤔 hopefully he can get money back
