I visited the Sevenoaks store at the weekend. The staff were incredibly busy but they were helpful, efficient and friendly. We tried various brands and landed on the right shoes for our needs

Id always recommend Up and Running Nottm as the place to go for running gear, particularly trainers. All the staff are lovely but Emma has helped me the last few times and she's always a delight. No matter who looks after you, everyone is really passionate about what they do and everyone offers great advice. They listen to what you're after and really do spend the time you need.

Very happy with the help I got from Lucy over in Nottingham city centre! She made sure I found the right shoes fitted to my feet and natural running pattern. I am excited to start running in my new shoes and will definitely be back for more runner gear if I need it. Thank you!

Poorly planned events, advertised as PB friendly but they are exactly the opposite due their timings. Races are 5 km loops generally but for some reason they release the 5km, 10km and half marathon in a small time frame meaning you have faster runners weaving around slower runners in the half again and again. Its actually unsafe, there was numerous incidents where i seen 5/10km runners accidently knock into people walking the half marathon, not nice for either involved.

Its not hard just release 5km 09:30, 10km 09:50 and half at 10:20. Instead the upcoming Cramond is 09:30 half, who will then have the 10:00 10km run into the back of them and then the 10:10 5km run into them again.

Its a shame as the general setup is good but they refuse to consider feedback on timings.

Excellent service and advice by Marine, who spent time to find me the right shoes despite a very busy time.

Ben understood the fitting issue I had with buying running shoes online which were not suiting my running needs . As an accomplished runner himself he quickly found me the perfect pair of shoes for my age and foot shape . They’re perfect and I intend to wear them for my upcoming first marathon . I’m highly delighted

I popped in to the York store for a gait analysis as I'm just getting into running. Steven helped me out with the analysis and brought out a selection of suitable shoes. Steven was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease which was lovely as I was very conscious that I don't look like a typical runner!

Would recommend the York store to everyone as they've got all the knowledge and the products you'd ever need! 5*

Novice older weekend 5k runners we are. More than middle aged. Ben and the whole team made us feel so welcome and were so approachable. Ben was so modest on how he shared his knowledge and expertise. Good luck with the nationals. Delighted with the shoes x2 pairs. Back again for the next pair. If you want sensible honest expert advice go nowhere else

Went in for new shoes with my wife. Very busy but we got staff members checking in with us almost immediately. Sallyann was over to help within five minutes and she was so helpful, especially considering we didn't really know what we needed other than 'runners'.
She was super knowledgeable, really kind and made sure we both came out with new running shoes that we liked and that will work for us.
If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Visited the Nottingham store today (25/04) and was looked after by the lovely Sammy. He was so patient and nothing was too much trouble - I came away with a fab pair of New Balance trainers and am looking forward to my first run in them!
I'm fairly new to running having taken it up over the last year and am yet to do a half or marathon, so find going to a running store a bit intimidating. Sammy really put me at ease, thank you!

As always, Chris guided my choice of shoe, through providing advice without bombarding me with the technicals- giving me the space to choose with confidence.

I visited Up&Running after a recommendation from friends for a gait check. I was helped by Rob who was great. His knowledge and experience was brilliant and he helped me pick a pair of trainers that would help me continue my running journey. Seeing the gait check and how my running style could be improved was so cool! I would highly recommend visiting to anyone else - the staff know their stuff and are so helpful. I will be back. The staff provided an excellent service to myself and the other customers who were in the shop at the same time. They fitted me with a pair of Brooks trainers four years ago and they have been perfect, so that’s why I returned to them to get a new pair. The first pair I tried on were again perfect for me, which says lots about their ability to assess my needs. Excellent shop, which I would highly recommend.

Marta at the Milton Keynes store was fab. Listened to my many for problems then quickly narrowed down the best shoes whilst also dealing with other customers really well.

I'm new to fancy running shoes and treadmills and she made me feel completely at ease and helped in every way, thank you.
