I cannot thank and recommend Lorna enough for the massive help she offered throughout my journey of becoming a house owner. I was naïve as of how to go around this whole thing being a first time buyer, from the word go, Lorna explained in detailed and encouraged me not to panic and gradually she walked me through every step of the way how to secure my documents for the process and went ahead to get me a good rate on my mortgage in difficult and high interest rates moments. Such an unbreakable record ,that I shall forever be grateful. Lorna again followed-up on my solicitors to get the job executed within time frame, what a service!!! I have moved into my beautiful home and she kept checking up on me if I am okay with everything. Such a good customer service is hard to come by. Lorna, thank you once again. Billion stars for you.

Was recommended to use TMP when applying for a mortgage. Was one of the worst recommendations I’ve ever received. Kept asking me to upload documents. I already had uploaded and then just sending cut and paste message replies without any help.

Ended up getting it done in half the time through my bank.

Please let me tell you about my treatment at the hands of TMP.
I applied for a shared ownership property and was declined by TMP - although I never received a reason why, I was just sent a standard email repeatedly. So, I went to an alternative broker and was successful (which was a bit strange as TMP also deal with that lender). Everyone seemed happy. I was permitted to reserve the property. I was permitted to measure for curtains. I even received the Direct debit mandate for the new mortgage. Then, at the beginning of this week, the housing group contacted me and said despite my success at sourcing a lender through a different broker, TMP still had to 'sign off', or the property would be re-advertised. So then, like many of the reviews I have read online, I played the futile game of, 'trying to establish contact with TMP', not realising that the decision had already been made. At one point I was calling every 5 minutes over the course of my working day. Finally, I received another standard email stating I had been unsuccessful and - after much pushing - it was implied that I had failed the AML (Anti-money laundering) checks.
I work in a care home....plus my other broker and agreed lender had run satisfactory checks, as would the solicitors handling the conveyancing.
Reading the other reviews for TMP, experiences seem decisive. You either fit their ideal candidate profile and have a brilliant experience or, like me, you are screened out and left in the cold. Please don't mistake the other negative reviews as sour grapes reactions. I assure you they aren't.
I had the mortgage. TMP wouldn't sign off. I lost the property. I lost money.
The rating would be no stars if I had that option.
So to Ms McCabe: Having read your profile on-line, I don't believe my experience - or other peoples similar experiences - was your vision. Maybe hold your team to account.

We couldn’t recommend TMP enough! From start to finish they have been brilliant. Alex helped us find a mortgage with really odd circumstances which would have been a real mine field if we didn’t have him! He answered all of our questions and was super helpful. Then we had the wonderful Lorna who was so lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had so many questions as first time buyers and she was always happy to help! Even at the end when we ran into a little panic she was right on hand to help us yet again. My experience was amazing with Jesse, she was so helpful and was always there to keep me updated with the process. I did not have a very good experience with my solicitor but Jesse was there to reassure me by going above and beyond to make the process of buying a property a less stressful one. Jesse always got back to me straight away and never left me guessing. I would just like to say how much I appreciated her support through this process.

Highly recommend, our Case Manager, who delt with our Mortgage application, have been outstanding. She was there at all times to support us throughout and was always polite and curtious. Applying for a mortgage is very daunting, however our Case Manager made us feel at ease at all times, another good point about our Case Manager, she always was alway quick to respond to any or our questions via emails, me and my wife are very happy with there service overall, this is why I have given a 5 star ratings.

It is a time when you are apprehensive and a little in the dark at what is wanted especially when you are getting old, they lead you through it. I am especially impressed at the dedication and the extra time spent to get our details right.

Exceptional levels of customer service from TMP and in particular Peter Hudson and Ian Grice. Both were always happy to answer questions and clarify things which was frequently as I'm a first time buyer! I never had to chase them for updates as they were proactive in completing work and kept me informed at every step, responding to emails extremely promptly. They have made the slightly scary process of taking out a mortgage much smoother and stress-free. Huge thanks to both.
