Way to long to receive your order
I think it's ridiculous that when you pay $8.95 in shipping because you have no local store, it takes several business days for it to ship, and several more business days to receive it. Although paying this rather expensive shipping charge, Talbots chooses to use the cheaper shipping method, "UPS My Choice" rather than UPS Ground. Orders from other major retailers choose UPS Ground or FedEx and ship quickly for one week total to receive it. I will not order and pay shipping again.
Returned a pair of pants in store
Returned a pair of pants in store. Had to order the replacement on line through the store. That night Talbots cancelled my order saying they were out of that item in a flash and I wouldn’t be charged. Next day I tried to reorder item and was able to. So the second order comes. Then I notice Talbots did take the money out for the first pair of pants that the order was supposedly cancelled. Called and waited and waited to talk to someone and was told that the order really wasn’t cancelled. So got that item in the mail finally and was told to send it back, would be too confusing for them if I took to store. Did as they said. 21 days later and 8 phone calls later I finally got my money back but lo and behold it wasn’t the full amount. They charged me shipping. After all this mess to deduct for shipping I felt was ridiculous when I was told not to take them back to the store. I have been a customer of Talbots for years but don’t have the time and money to waste on their ridiculous excuse for customer service. The last phone call I had to have my local store call to get action on being refunded my money. Sadly they will lose my business because of the poor excuse for whatever is going on with corporate customer service.

Buyer beware! They will receive your return in the mail and weeks later still no credit and phone lines with the most obnoxious music, without anyone EVER PICKING UP!!!!!!!!!!! Losers! LAST TIME EVER WITH TALBOTS. They deserve to go out of business!! SOON!
Unbelievably horrible experience
Unbelievably horrible experience. I am on hold waiting to speak with a customer service rep. now for 45 minutes on a $100.00 blouse that has still not been received - this company is outrageous. Charge me $100.00 for a rayon blouse and don't ship the item and no communication re the status for more than 2 weeks now and I am now on hold for 45 minutes with no end in sight to try and speak with someone. I will think very hard and very long before ever buying anything from Talbots again online or through their catalogue. A complete and total waste of my time, a working mother.
Terrible service
Ordered a fleece online, which they said they had at my local store. When I called the store the next day, not only did they not have it but were unable to get it. Never again.

Over priced over blown company who's quality in the past two years has tanked miserably. See thru shirts at 109$ sweaters that pill while you wear them pants that do not fit or flatter at 129$. Exactly whom do they think built their business? Everyday women thats who! Sadly they ruined Jjill and Ann Taylor now the are ruining Soma Chicos off rack prices have already jumped on both sites, limited items quality very poor what is it with you Talbots? They both were my go to since Talbots raised their prices way too high to be affordable or even sanely priced. PLEASE DO NOT BUY MACYS TOO! This company has ruined each company it buys. The only plus is this year's colors and styles are a bit more appealing except the cost! Lands end is a better option than Talbots unworthy quality and prices.
You have the worst return policy…
You have the worst return policy returned a coat in October as it was too big still have not been reimbursed . Every time I call you say I will get reimburse and today on a chat I was told that you are updating your system ! That is awful I will never buy anything from Talbot again and do not recommend this. You owe me over 180 dollars
Poor Customer Service. Poor quality clothing!
Wow. Bought pants at Talbots Outlet. The pants shrunk with 1 washing. I bought the pants while on vacation so I couldn't return them to the store and there are no outlets around my city (closest 2-3 hours). Went round and round with customer service. Each person sent me to someone else and so on. I didn't know outlet clothes couldn't be returned to the regular store. There's no information on the receipt that says that; there's no signs in the store. How was I to know? I talked to the outlet store manager, and she was sarcastic and unhelpful. She couldn't help for many reasons, mostly because I had washed the pants! So basically, I am out of luck. $120 down the drain. If I could give Talbots a 0, I would. Poor quality clothing and even poorer customer service. Save your money and go elsewhere!
Package never received!
It’s nearly a month, and I have not received the items I ordered from Talbots Outlets. They claim their tracking data shows items were delivered but they were NOT. I asked them to let me know the service they used to send me the package, to confirm address sent to, and who signed for the package. NO RESPONSE! Don’t shop Talbots!

I gave one star because I couldn’t give them 0. Terrible service. They tell me my order was delivered but I’ve never received and now they don’t respond. I’m trying to get a refund. Talbots hasn’t just went down hill, they’ve turned into a company that pretty much takes the money and runs. If I don’t get a refund I will push my credit card to get my money back. I say stay away from this company.
TALBOT'S OF YESTERDAY IS GONE
The quality of service and items from Talbots has declined steadily for years, but now it is really over. In store and call center employees are paid very poorly. Call centers are understaffed and the majority are located out of the United States, resulting in language barriers and frustrated customers. Call center employees quickly burn out with the rapid pace and low pay. The worst change, however, will see the end of the company. Talbots just joined Lane Bryant, Ann Taylor Loft, Chico's and more brands in a mega company called Knitwell. The Talbot's quality and service of years past will now decline more rapidly as we the watch the company lose their individuality and once elegant reputation. Loyal customers will quickly become just a number in a bloated conglomerate.
I love this store!
I love this store. The merchandise is always excellent quality. It is very classy, contemporary and timeless.
My favorite location is Edmondson Rd. The ladies there go out of their way to assist and accommodate me.
Regardless, of the sales person they all know my sizes and my preferences.
All of them are always make me feel welcome. They are all cheerful and delightful and more than willing to help. The store including the dressing rooms is always well stocked, neat and well maintained.
It is always a great experience to shop at this Talbots location.

Item was never delivered
I wrote a review but just received a message that a refund has been issued and will be received within 5 days so will cancel my complaint unless the refund does not arrive.
Discriminative and obnoxious environment
I love shopping in Talbots, but Not in #382 Linwood, NJ. In 25 years in this country I have never experienced such a discriminating and obnoxious environment which was created by Alissa ( about 70 y.o. white female). First, she was extremely helpful to the friends of her friends with going several times on the back looking for the proper size. However, when I asked her to check the size for me she abruptly basically barked at me that everything is out on the floor.
Second, after cancer treatment my right hand is not working and my male companion was helping me outside of the dressing room to try out the coat and a sweater. She came up to him and very rudely said he is not allowed to be there. Nowhere in the store it said that it is for female only.
I have noticed also one male shopping for himself and hearing the argument he got so scared that he didn't try on anything.
Third, she misspelled my name 4 times due to her resentement before she found me in the system and didn't apologies.
Our Christmas shopping experience was ruined by unfair treatment. People like Alissa should not be allowed to work in customer service, she expressed haterade just hearing my european accent and on top of it, the fact that I brought a male to the store to help me with picking out a present.

As another person posted -Foolish me- thinking that the website was Canadian. No where did it mention I was paying in US dollars. An order of $227, which seemed a good deal at the time, turned out to cost me $327 Canadian dollars) PLUS UPS of $126 for 3 sweaters. Using UPS is ridiculous. Robbery

Cloths just plain ugly. Have been a loyal customer for 20 some years. Always found things I liked. So sad really loved your store.
Goor design terrible quality
The quality now is very bad, most items are polyester or similar, rare to find natural fabrics specially in fall or winter. The only thing I found made with natural fibers were cashmere sweaters of dubious quality, I can find better cashmere at better prices somewhere else. The designs are very nice but too bad the quality is not, it remind me of Shein a low quality, almost disposable Chinese brand
Talbots - great sale person Ewa
I visited store Talbots on September 30 at Old Orchard in Skokie to buy few clothes. The service was courteous from the start and efficient. Ewa was the one helped me and she was amazing. She was very polite, truthful and had a good eye for detail. I highly recommend this store and in particular the person Ewa.
Disappointed with quality
I have loved Talbots over the years, but now the clothing seems cheap, I’m not sure who the buyer is now. I loved the real leather the fake leather just looks bad for a store like Talbots. We paid for quality and still will what’s wrong the buyers. I have shearling coats that I treasure please go back to real leather, fashionable quality suits and skirts!!!!!
