Whilst a fabulous way to upgrade a journey cheaply it’s even better when things don’t go accordingly! Claiming a refund when a train declassified its seats was easy, dealt with promptly and efficiently with correspondence that was cheery, apologetic and genuine. (Shout out to Eibhilin for her response).

Customer service absolutely useless, will never use again!

Unfortunately my train was cancelled but the cancellation process was straightforward and quick.
Ella was dealing with it.

I paid £50 for the upgrade, sat there got asked if I had a 1st class ticket. It was scanned then told there is no 1st class service for my journey for the next 3 hours thus defeating the purpose of upgrading, as I already had a booked seat in normal class. Then yourselves and Avanti have both told me to contact each other! Absolutely discussed by both companies sloppy shouldering to each other and I'm £50 down in the process! I defiantly wont be using this app in future, that's for sure.

I've thought about using Seatfrog for a while to try and get a cheaper 1st class upgrade for a longer journey (I travel between London and Edinburgh fairly often). I finally took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised to pick up an upgrade on a busy Friday evening train (during the Fringe!) for £46. The auction process was easy enough to interact with and I was pleased to see the upgrade came with a reserved seat (I wasn't quite sure if it would or not).
Disappointingly my train was cancelled by the operator before leaving so in the end I didn't get to use the upgrade. I put a refund request in via the Seatfrog website and was fully refunded a couple of days later (thank you Eibhilín for dealing with my case quickly and with no hassle at all!). Knocking a star off the review because the refund process was nowhere near as streamlined as all the other actions through the app; having to copy-paste or re-type all sorts of transaction and account IDs which Seatfrog must have available just feels like trying to put people off trying to get a refund they are owed.

The auction and upgrade process was clear and simple. The train service went horribly wrong (that's on the operator). The refund process was clear and simple.

Used it on the way up to Manchester and it was great. Had to get a refund due to a cancelled train on the way back and they issued it within a day with no issue. Ella was lovely! Would definitely use again.

I did mistakenly somehow book a seatfrog trip not intended in any way. As not a cancelled train doubt able to claim. Mistaken use of system. Lost money.

I've used seatfrog twice now. Once was a perfect journey and the 2nd time unfortunately Great Western fully cancelled my train. My seat frog was unfortunately not honoured by the train replacement, however seatfrog were very straight forward and refunded my journey, thanks Eibhilín for the quick response from customer service. Will be using sweat frog again for my long train trips as 1st class is so much better.

Very easy to use and yesterday my train got cancelled so I couldn’t use my upgrade and I have received a refund immediately thank you so much

Train cancelled but originally had an £8 first class upgrade and it was refunded promptly, Ella was very helpful - have used SEATFROG before and it is an absolute hidden gem.
