Re-bath of Chattanooga expensive and worth it!
Re-bath of Chattanooga followed the original plans perfectly. The installers, Eric and Cody, were professional. They protected our home while working and always cleaned up when finished. The finished project is beautiful.
Great Experience with Re-bath
We had the entire master bath gutted and remodeled. I am skeptical with any contractors just by nature. They gave us a window of starting in12-14 weeks. Almost every week, the office either called us or sent an email with info/details/order status update. We were called with a start date within the time frame they gave us. They are good on communications and customer relations. The Lead installer Colin introduced himself and slowly and systematically explained how his process works and what to expect. Then he went to work. I'm not sure but I think he had a magic wand. Blink your eyes and "it" was done, whatever it was. Not only was he quick but he's a craftsman as well. This was the norm everyday he was here. I can't say enough good things about him. Thank you Re-Bath for making this a heck of a lot easier than I expected.
Respectfully,
Frank
I wrote a review about Reath several…
I wrote a review about Reath several years ago. That’s the amount of mold that crows in our shower. I was told that I didn’t clean it enough. We’re cleaning it every three days just to get rid of the mold. I have talked to other comp, that said there was mold behind the wall when they put it up Because it was installed in 2014 we’re just supposed to put up with mold now they were in a hurry to get it done and mold should’ve been spread first. As I said, I have talked to other companies and they’re not having the same problems. You’re asking for a date and they’ve got an October date of this year believe me this was done several years ago, but we have been putting up with mold for years and our other bathroom has no mold at so the mold is behind the walls. We’re at the process of spring Clorox directly because we just can’t use that shower
I found out that bathtub to walk in…was a good choice for us.
I found out that bathtub to walk in shower conversion is expensive. You can save some money by going with independent contractors like the ones at Angi's but it takes several days and is a real chore and hassle when other companies like ReBath do it in one day. Going with a reputable bathroom remodeling company is your best bet. I chose ReBath because of their rating and the fact they're backed by both Lowe's and Home Depot.
The sales was not high pressure like most of the others and the salesman (Joe) was very easy to work with and helpful in making choices. Our choice was the Durabath Acrylic because my research showed that all the acrylics used by bath remodel companies are pretty standard with great quality and looks great. We didn't even consider the fiberglass ones. They have higher quality, higher price and high maintenance choices like Nature Stone and Lux stone but we passed on them. The biggest problem was with the installation date we agreed on, which was postponed late on the eve of the installation date and given a new date 13 days later! I must also point out that ReBath prices were the most customer friendly and the installation team Victor/Domenic) were professional and did a fantastic job! Estimates at four other well advertised bath remodel companies were 3K to 6k more for the same 32"x60" acrylic custom material shower and accessories 5/16in sliding glass doors/ 3 grab bars/ 6 shelves/ folding seat/ 2 robe hangers). You must get 4-6 estimates to make an informed decision and DON"T let them "high pressure" you into signing until you review them all! This is the ReBath company in the Greater Pittsburgh, Pa area.
Oh- Rebath…where should I start
Oh- Rebath…where should I start. If I could give it 0 stars I would because 1 star is being generous. 1. It’s overpriced-our job cost 14,000 and unfortunately it was money wasted. 2. The clear silicone chalk is substandard material, as water continued to get underneath it, causing us to have to re-chalk it over and over again. We complained to the company. They even came out and re-chalked…but the mold returned. And even so it feels like we re-chalked it one thousand times more the mold underneath continued to grow. How frustrating! Honestly it needs to be ripped out and renovated again. Dont waste your money or time. Let me save you some frustration. Totally ridiculous…for 14,000!
Very disappointed - customer satisfaction not a priority
While I have nothing but praise for efforts of installation team, I am far from happy with paying over $32,000 (just for their work) for a totally renovated bathroom. They were helpful picking out fixtures and finishes. Showroom very small though without a lot of floor examples to actually see. After job started, we realized that we had not selected a vanity light fixture. I asked them to order one then saw they were going to charge me $850 for a pretty standard 4-light fixture! I cancelled immediately and found one online for $200 that is perfect. They also recommended an electrician they routinely work with who quoted me over 3X what the electrician I used quoted. Demolition took way longer than they planned for which I tried to prepare them for based on the age of my home. Beneath original tile was 2-3” of cement “mud” that was overwhelming the 2-man team. This also put them behind ”their” schedule. Then the installer’s assistant quit with no notice but installer carried on alone. Toward the end, another assistant came on board but was pulled off my job after a few hours to work on another job. So although needing at least a few more hours (maybe half day) and some help to properly complete my job, my installer worked until 9pm that night saying he couldn’t come back. They said it would be “paint ready” when finished and it definitely is not. Plaster/caulk needs more work as well as drips and some marks needing to be cleaned off finished ”tile” panels. They offered to send professional cleaning team but more than cleaning needs to happen. Once electricians ($1,000+) are done I still needed painter to prepare and finish walls and ceiling. Not sure what he’s going to charge.
So bottom line is the presentation was great, installers were great until management had them focused on next job, which made my job suffer in my opinion. If your job takes longer than their job time "formula" they walk away and onto the next project scheduled. I have to say I felt abandoned. My job was no longer a priority. Once you sign on, they provide very little guidance. The installers were asking me for specs on vanity, mirror, cabinet, etc., which I thought they would have and I couldn’t find on my contract. The salesperson was very nice but disappeared, never heard from him again unless texting me answers to the many questions that came up. Supervisor never came by to check on anything, until he had to deliver the half of the toilet that was misdirected in transit. Not their fault. I wanted to love my new bathroom and hope I will sometime soon, but I certainly don’t yet.
Beware - Not as they seem
Overall, I am pleased with the final product, but it was a bumpy ride.
The positive aspects include: 1) Offering one year 0% financing (Note: the one year starts when you sign the contract, not when work starts), 2) Offering tile that matches our bathroom as opposed to giant stone composite slabs or plastic, 3) Friendly installers and office people.
There are some things that weren’t exemplary: 1) We signed our contract in February. It states work will begin in TWO weeks. The sales person told me FOUR to SIX weeks. Work actually began in June, 2) They called me before the work started and said they would have to delay one day. Unfortunately, they did not communicate with their subcontracted electricians and they showed up unexpectedly on the original date. 3) Once work started, they informed me that the lead installer was going on vacation in the middle of our installation (Wednesday and Thursday) and would finish when he returned, 4) The installer returned from his vacation late and no one notified me that he was not returning on Friday until I called the office, 5) Because of the way our old tub was shaped, there was a large gap in the flooring ( ~3”), that they wanted to cover with a white plastic molding, 6) They up-charged me $1,500 to install matching tiles I supplied, which I believe was excessive and over the high price you already pay to get your job done “fast”, 7) Final work was over the original estimate with the last-minute $1,500 up charge for setting floor tile, 8) After installation, we noticed the spout for the tub moves easily, indicating the pipe in the wall is not secured properly (which they subsequently fixed by injecting glue into the wall).
Other things to expect: 1) This is a messy process. Although they take precautions (covering all the floors in their path to the bathroom with tarps), dust still goes everywhere, 2) If you try to match a tile (like we did), the match may not be exact. 3) The 0% financing only works if you pay it off in full before the ending of the promotional period. If you don’t, the 17.99% interest is retroactive to the original date of the loan. That’s how most of these offers work. The 12 months 0% start when you sign the contract, even though work may not begin for months).
Overall, I think they are an *okay* company. They are expensive. The manager who charged $1,500 extra for the tiling, the installer vacation time in the middle of the installation, the lack of communication with their electricians and the tub spout is why my rating is two stars. The surprise up charge really annoyed me and brought our total cost to about $20k.
I hope this was helpful. Best wishes!
Jacob and Matthew
I would like to thank Jacob and Matthew for the exceptional job they did on our full bathroom remodel.
They worked tirelessly to ensure my wife and I were satisfied with every detail of the remodel. We couldn't be happier with the results!!!
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE: Re-Bath KNOXVILLE TN -used the old “Bait and Switch” on me. They gave me a written proposal for a “zero barrier” shower, I signed the contract and gave them my credit card. 5 (FIVE!) days later I received a TEXT message that said they can’t warranty what they proposed, and suggested something entirely different. My salesperson was embarrassed and apologized as it wasn’t his fault. Be VERY careful when trying to do business with this company. Cannot recommend a company that does business like this.
MASTER BATH REMODEL
MASTER BATH REMODEL
We went into this project with hopeful expectations, and we were not disappointed. Greg Eltherington was our project manager/installer, and he was amazing! He walked in and first explained what the process would be like, and immediately got to work. All the trades that worked with him were fabulous. Every day when Greg left he made sure that everything was clean as possible. He always had a big smile on his face- as did all the guys. Fast, clean, professional, what more could anyone hope for!
Our bathroom is lovely, and my husband and I would wok with these guys any chance we could have.
Re-Bath Nightmare Remodle
I wish I could give zero star. This remodel has been a nightmare from day one. Look at the pictures they will tell the story. They threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay, but they were not done with the project. Lowe's said not pay until they were done. It took 72 days to complete this nightmare of a remodel. The bathtub walls are still not even. The door is still loose from the damage they created. The toilet sits uneven, and they put in a new subfloor. I don't know, maybe shims? The drywall that they patched is wavy and very noticeable that it does not match the walls. They damaged the walls because nothing was wrong with them before the nightmare. Never again, and I would not recommend you spend a penny with this company. I hate going into my bathroom. That is how mad I am about their work.
Definitely not in one day!!
We went with rebath because they said that they could do in one day well trust me they cant. That was the selling point and I think that they new that it wasn’t going to happen!!
Good re bath

Ovepriced with mediocre work and poor work ethic!!!
We decided to renovate both our bathrooms. We had already replaced the floors and the walls were going to be addressed, so we thought that replacing both tubs and vanities would be pretty easy. How badly we were mistaken!!! Rebath sent their designer in September, his name was David, and he was a nice man! He was professional and precise, he measured everything and set the date for install in October. Said it would take 6 days. We were determined on having our master bath done first so we would have privacy. No problem he said, we'll make it happen. About 5 weeks later the items arrived and they came. Their worker came everyday at 9am and left at 2:30pm. Wow, they must have bankers hours. We asked him to stay longer to get more done and he said no. Then my husband had to help him carry the tubs and vanities because he was alone. My husband's back went out immediately. We were disappointed but still hopeful at this point. Then came the bad news: our vanity was too big for the master bathroom. The drawers wouldn't open. Turns out they had to move the closet wall back 4" . Took him 3 days of only working 4 hours each day because they had to take a lunch break of course. Then 6 days became 9 days and the job still wasn't done. Then he brought the wrong medicine cabinet. Wrong style and size and forgot to bring the second one as well. Turns out they never ordered them. Had to wait another 5 weeks. They showed up in November this time with 2 medicine cabinets. I asked them to finish master bath first. He said no. Ok...what? One medicine cabinet mirror was scratched so we had to wait another 5 weeks. Guess which bathroom they put the un-scratched medicine cabinet in? Here's a hint: it wasn't the master bathroom. So, the worker who moved our wall back screwed up the wall board, mis aligned the closet door. It wouldnt shut right and some of the fixtures were loose, misaligned or broken and loose in the wall. Guest bath wouldn't drain right because they had caulking in the drain, walls were jagged etc. Had to have them send someone else over instead of the original cause because of the problems. 5th time they came out, the new guy fixed a lot of the broken stuff but still wasn't right. Had president of company come over. showed him all the bad work. He said they did a good job but refunded us a little bit of money. We will not have them come back. Job took almost 3 months not 6 days. Our wall is still jagged from where original worker cut it to move wall back. Moulding is crooked, faucets misaligned scratches on vanity countertop etc. But we will not have them return. WE had enough. Master bathroom is still not right, and the shower caulking keeps falling out of the joints. Awesome right?! I wouldn't recommend Rebath for anything. You would probably be better off doing your bathroom DIY and just taking some Home Depot classes.
Good Morning. We got a bath redo approximately 2 years ago. We heard a crash in the bathroom and discovered one of the shelves in a closet re had made. The middle shelf had collapsed.
We can not reach a person at rebath to let them known a shelf in a closet they built has collapsed. We have tried everything trying we know to contact them and have failed. How can we contact rebath?
They have got to be kidding!
I set up an appointment through Home Depot. They contacted RE-BATH to send over a salesman. He looked at my very tiny bathroom that needed a walk in shower after being demo'd down to the studs. He gave me two options. The first was an option to have them install what looked like the ugly material you would typically see in a campground shower room. The second option was a thicker material and not much prettier. First option quoted was $18,000. Second option was over $38,000! To add to the laughable quotes, they are three months out because "they have to order in the material". Where is it......China? The salesman was sensing his pitch was going nowhere when I started asking him questions and quickly wrapped it up. I let him and showed him the door. These and other similar companies are a waste of your time and money. I'm surprised that Home Depot would want their good name attached to such a jank company. Get a local contractor to build one nicer and much better.
Over priced and bad business ethics.
Salesperson came out sold us on 2 shower upgrades costing over $28,000.00. Said we qualified for their promotion of 144 months no interest through Wright Patterson credit union. We signed the contract and have a copy. After work was complete, they called us and stated Indiana residents didn't qualify for the promotion and our options of payment were 4.99% interest or 60 months and then 23.99% interest. I wouldn't recommend using them.
Worst consumer experience of my life.
Worst consumer experience of my life. The contract I signed on the sales reps tablet was not what I was emailed later, but I had no proof because I did not have the original. The whole reason we remodeled the bathroom was because of a leak, which both the company and contractor who did the work claimed to have no knowledge of. I ended up paying $14,000 for an entirely plastic room and after 3 months my shower is still unusable. Any complaint I had about the quality of the work or materials and failure to deliver what I was sold was called buyer's remorse and disregarded. Save yourself the misery and find a reputable contractor instead of a franchisee.
My grandmother had her bathroom…
My grandmother had her bathroom remolded and Dante and Angel were great. They were very professional and trustworthy and always on time. At the end of the they left everything clean and spotless. I would recommend Re-bath and Dante and Angel to anyone. My grandmother loves her new walk-in shower and so do I.
