Tyre replacement
Booked my car in to have the front tyres replaced. It was easy to park & the staff provide an excellent service. There's a small reception area where you can have a coffee while you wait. The garage appears very clean & organised. I bought 2 Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2's. Not a cheap tyre but after comparing prices I'm sure I got a good deal. The fitting & balancing took around 40 minutes & I was back on the road.

Car serviced at the Durham (Darcy’s)…
Car serviced at the Durham (Darcy’s) garage. No issues, nothing additional needed.
I got home to find 1 tyre was listed as on legal limit ok the report - garage had not informed me or asked me to replace. Tyre replaced elsewhere.
A few weeks later - my car has failed its MOT, they were completely worn !!! Both the rear brakes and discs needed replacing, nothing mentioned on report or previously from the garage. Would not recommend the Durham branch.

I booked online to have an Air Con Regas
Nothing was a trouble. I dropped my vehicle off, a couple of days later, and I was informed that the Regas would be completed in 30 to 45 min. After a coffee at a local cafe, I returned after 40 min, to have my vehicle waiting for me on the forecourt.. Nice cold air, and at a very reasonable price.. Many Thanks to all the guys.

I took my Father's Micra to Darcys at…
I took my Father's Micra to Darcys at Framwellgate Moor for a service and MOT. (Local people will recognise this name rather than Protyre) As always, the work was well priced and carried out efficiently. Advice was given in respect of the MOT 'advisories' and absolutely no attempt was made to persuade me to get work carried out that was not required. A refreshing experience.

My go to car maintenance place.......
Been using Protyre for sometime (and their predecessor Darcy's). Both seem to have the same ethos. ........in any event I trust them. The service is very good and the prices competitive.....and they don't seem to try and find work!
