We started looking for a replacement for our existing MGzs Trophy, while checking what value we might get we happened upon a new MGzs hybrid Trophy at price that we could not ignore. We contacted Perrys MG sales and were put through to Luke from there on the process of closing the deal went as smooth as silk. Luke was throughly professional and extremely helpful, infact he was brilliant. We have no hesitation in recommending both Perrys or Luke in MG Sales to anyone looking to buy any of the MG range of terrific value cars.

I was looking for the car to buy at Perrys 30 miles away but I had suspicion about the quality of their cars...the car 4 years old - just over 16k on the clock looked worn out like 40k. The seller claims for Mazda cx5 2.0 0??... yes 0 previous owners! but the car actually has 2 V5C certs issued . How come? How can you trust them in any "inspections" ??. Well , they claim 120 points of Inspection? Considering so many negative reviews here and how many problems the buyers have with their low mileage cars ,I changed my mind . Just wondering how this garage keeps going having so many bad reviews?!

Sales staff at perrys Mazda Mansfield were good, but took 3 weeks to be prepared . obviously delayed by sourcing spare key. When the car was ready for collection I expected it to have had a full valet considering length of time for collection but the car wasn’t clean, wheels (except front face) were dirty especially the spokes, door opening had not been cleaned.outside was o,k just an automatic car wash.The inside was grubby especially where door window switches are. I will have to have it valeted at my own expense. Very poor .

When we turned up Alex came out to help us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, listened to what we said and didn't try to rush us. He went through some of the packages and gave us a good idea of what we might be looking for. We came back the next day and dealt with Isobel who was equally as nice and helpful. She noticed immediately that myself and my husband were conflicted about the cars we saw the day before and we got to look at about one that I was really interested in. We went out for a test drive and she was very knowledgeable about the car. We ended up buying that car and she got the vehicle sorted for us ready to pick up after 3 days. Isobel was very personable and chatty but not pushy at all. Kerry who spoke to us about the service plan was so nice and very informative. The whole staff were great. Overall we are so happy and thank you to Alex and Isobel

Initially things didn’t go to plan but Perrys set about correcting this and we were very satisfied with the outcome

Bought a car from video then the car turned up and had damage that was hidden in the video
They over charged me and i am waiting for my money back 2 weeks later
I had to chase them to solve the problems and now have to wait a month for my car to be fixed

I called to ask about a car advertised on the website the staff made me an appointment to view it and try it out. Andy Lee was a great help walking me through the the cars automatic gears as I had never driven one before. Two days later I was back to pick up my new car.

Well what can I say, firstly my Vauxhall Crossland that I bought from Perry's Rotherham in December 2025 had 15500 miles on the clock when i bought it, at the time of the following it is July 2026 and it now has 18500 on the clock. I did when I bought the car pay extra for extended warranty (899), tyre and wheel cover (299) and I pay monthly for my service and MOT. Not forgetting that all sold used cars have supposedly 120 ish point service checks before it is sold, to say I am disappointed would be an understatement. So I booked the car in for MOT and service on 30.06.2026, I did mention that I was having a problem with my NSR tyre which keeps deflating (this problem even showed on the previous MOT in 2025 previous owner and completed at Perry's) after waiting around 3 to 4 hours I was told all done, however the car needed front pads (no problem) and new front brake discs which to say I was surprised is a big understatement as the car only has 18500 miles on it and only 6 months and 3000 miles since I bought it, I really wasn't expecting that. Anyway I was then told that my NSF outer drive shaft velocity boot is severely deteriorated and required replacing. I questioned the validity of the 120 point car check at this point but got no answer. Also to cap it all no fault found with the tyre even though it keeps going down, any way I booked the car in for the brakes and driveshaft boot cover work to be completed.
So I returned to Perry's and again told a chap called Martin on the desk that I was still having problems with the tyre, I even showed him pictures of the warning light and the pressure gauge which went down from 36psi to 24psi in 2 days and 80 miles from home to Hornsea, anyway £313 later my brakes are done but not my boot cover which somehow was not shown as due to be done. At this point I really lost my rag as we say, my wife is disabled and every time I leave her in the house for more than an hour I have to pay for someone to be with her and all I got from Martin was basically 'sorry', then I was told there is nothing wrong with the tyre 'what can we do if we cant find a fault'. Anyway once again I tried to book the car in for the boot cover but apparently it needed ordering so they would contact me to arrange a date.
A week later no contact so I rang them, Martin apologised again saying there had been some issue and he would ring me the next day.
It is now 5 days since my phone call with Martin and I have heard nothing, I have also visited a local tyre shop and 2 mins after taking the tyre off they discovered (and showed me) a leak, albeit small, from the tyre valve, so much for the professional's at Perry's. The guy at the tyre shop was also surprised when I told him the car had been tested 3 weeks prior as he said the tyre was badly cracked on the outer and inner rim of both rear tyres and they were in his opinion illegal. I was horrified at this but I took the car to another local tyre shop to show them and they also confirmed the tyres were in a poor condition an they believed this should have been spotted on the MOT. I went back to the original tyre shop and have now 2 new rear tyres so all is well in the world except this boot cover that I need to get done but I wont be going to Perry's
So all in all my experience with this company is very very poor, no stars if possible.
Perry's failed the fix a basic defective valve, failed to spot badly worn tyres, Failed to see on their pre sales checks that the front disks were bad and the boot cover is severely deteriorated, that really is poor considering I have had the car 6 months and only done 3000 miles, I expect I shall get some bull reply and maybe even a phone call, however I shall be cancelling my MOT/service plan payments as I refuse to give this company another penny of my cash, I am even considering selling the car but I have to work my finances out and I will lose money.
Perry's you are a disgrace.

Well I was right see the bull reply below no apology, no contact to explain the total lack of service or a plan to fix my concerns, just the usual we will pass your comments on crap

It went into mg after 3days because it wouldn’t go into 1st gear I mentioned it on the test drive I was told it’s because it’s new l had to get the AA out the two AA technicians said there was a problem with the 1st gear I got a phone call after 4day saying it was ready to pickup when I got there service manager when to get it from the garage he came back and said it wasn’t working right so l had to go back home in a taxi I got it back that night that was Friday 24 /7/26 it’s now 27/7/26
I’m still waiting for the manager for were i buy it to phone me very poor

I am writing this review to share my genuine consumer experience with Perrys regarding vehicle registration DY18RDO. After a prolonged dispute, I legally rejected this vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

After a long 3 years and a motor ombudsman final decision in my favour I was eventually issued a refund.

To see the vehicle back up for sale so quickly is concerning. I advise any prospective buyer of this specific car to insist on seeing proof that the hydraulic issues with the clutch have been fully replaced/repaired before purchasing. I have the independent mechanical report, the ombudsman final decision and proof of refund to back up this review.

The salesman, Asmat, was extremely helpful and professional. He showed me a few cars that fitted my list of essentials and after the test drive he was very detailed in all explanations of the next steps.
When I collected the car two days later it came with service history and a record of work done prior to collection.

The salesman was friendly and efficient. Everything was explained fully. On both dates that I visited the dealership, those being the 9th of July, and the 13th of July when I collected my vehicle.

My previous deal fell through where I am from in Scotland and had to find the exact same car I wanted. Preston had a brilliant deal on MG IM6 and I subsequently made contact.
Great shout out to Chelsea Holmes at MG Preston. Fantastic customer service who understood my situation at the time. Always kept in touch and went above and beyond to assist me. Even offered to collect me and my family at the train station! That is what I call customer service!
Once deal was signed, the Sales Manager took the time and spoke to me. I genuinely appreciated that. Customer service evidently is Perry's number one priority! I would highly recommend.
