Worst ever "fresh" fish place in Whangarei.... Since two years just plastic packed fish, extreme expensive just a nuts manager.... Don't buy in this place. USELESS!!!

Bought a watermelon yesterday Sat 15th Feb 2025. At 10pm I heard a punctured sound. Watermelon cracked, clear juice oozing out. I cut it open and a kind of white foam forming.

Cheapest groceries around, meat and fruit and veges aren't the best quality

Recently I have had no issues as most staff are friendly helpfully but while I was doing my groceries at paknsave.invercargill I encountered a very rude checkout operator named WENDY I found her attitude rude@disgusting therefore made a complaint in writing nothing was done concerning this but I know other staff who have informed me I am not the first person to complain bout this person I was made out to be responsible for this as management sided with the staff member as per usual customers don't matter here only our dollars bad experience all round no followup there are enough unemployed people who would be gratefull to have a job wouldn't disrespect the customers I have worked in this industry personal there'smany more business that lack this .

Paknsave papanui is the worst.if your looking for savings this place isn't the place to go.had my last visit today.$5 week what a joke.hardly anything on special.you would think fruit and veggies would have been on special but no.cost more for a normal shop than any other week.profit before people.never going back.

They take out of the Sortiment cheap brands like Value or San Remo and I'm forced to buy the expensive products. For example the San Remo brand Spaghetti 350 g glutenfree for 2 Dollar. Now it's no longer available and I'm forced to buy the expensive brand (diamond) for 4 Dollar and there is only 250 g in the packet. I'm on a glutenfree diet and I'm dependent on the products they are selling.

I always look out for vacumm packed legs of lamb on special as meat has become expensive so last Saturday I decided to buy a half leg of lamb as there were yet again no vacumm legs of lamb.
This cost me around $25 and it was so TOUGH😡😡😡very disappointed! Is the better quality lamb

Supervisor/manager vivi I think is her name was opening counter next to us we were next in line person ahead of us still had a lot to process, this manager looks past us looking behind us for someone else to bring into lane she was opening??? Why I ask I thought it was rude hence my review.

I made a special trip into Pak n Save Mill St Hamilton because their baker told me that Saturday morning was the day they baked their own grain bread.
There was only one loaf left on the shelf, so I grabbed it.
When I got home I found it had been baked two days earlier. So stale before even using it.
That's the second time their bread has been stale.

Do not buy flowers from paknsav Petone. Ive had trouble there before and the manager didn't want to know so this time I'll write a review here.
I bought these poppies a few days ago, only one opened and now the others are dying. $10 for a small bunch of poppies only to have them die. Rip off

Brought an instore pizza from PaknSav Rangiora. Chicken and bacon. Worse pizza ever. Tasted absolutely disgusting. I guess there was Chicken and bacon on it along with some apricot slushy stuff. Total waste of money Leave them on the shelf if your tempted.

Obviously food prices in NZ are higher than the rest of the world, we're a group of islands near Antarctica who specialise in lamb, but PakNSave is for sure the cheapest supermarket in the country. Great rotation of deals. Pam's brand is fantastic value without compromising too much on quality.

Went to pack n save Richmond.
Went to enter with trolley and a click and collect member with a manager pushed passed me and my 4 year old, nearly sent him flying. Then as they went through the gate jammed the trolley. They both started laughing.

Went to buy lotto on way out. She was more interested in talking to her mate about partying than serving me.
Really poor service

I felt humiliated during my visit to pak'n save today in Timaru. I decided to use scanner for a quick shopping this afternoon. When I was about to checkout, one of the staff approached me as she wanted to conduct a random check for my less 10 items of groceries. As she was on the process of doing it, she suddenly asked me if I didn't scan the chicken item in a rude manner. I asked her if everything's all right as for sure I scanned all the items. However, she let me moved away in which I puzzled for she didn't find any unscanned items. I felt ashamed the way she treated me as I am stealing something. Hope the management could improve the customer service of its staffs for this is not the first time it's happened to me.

We've been going to Pak'n save fortnightly for years and years.
Not the best supermarket. Messy store at times, products not available and things are regularly over the end date. But you tolerate it because they are cheaper. We still pay on average $400 on every visit. But, today was the last straw...
Incredibly rude customer service.

Apparently there was a max limit per customer on an item that was on sale. No sign or anything on the shelf/rack to indicate this. Cashier calls customer service, lady walks over, grabs the products that were 'too much' my husband said we wouldn't mind paying full price for all. No problem to us. Lady completely ignores it and doesn't answer to that, looks at us, looks at cashier, back to us then says to the cashier, ( so not a single word to us as customers) 'max of 4 bottles!!!' in an agitated voice and leaves with them. Euh ok!?

The rule doesn't make sense anyway. What's preventing me from stepping right back in the store after paying and grabbing the items from the rack again and paying at another cashier with another card?

Yeah, after years it's just not worth the 'cheaper' shopping.
I have a background in customer service and as a company I suggest you educate your staff on how to do better.
You've lost a loyal customer and we'll take our money elsewhere.
