Oxford Tube Arvostelua 

You can find yourself as I am now, unable to board a bus as they all pass by full. Just a 30 minute wait between busses, in the middle of the night, hoping the next will have space. I wonder what time I will get home

Since moving to Oxford, I’ve been using Oxford Tube regularly. The service is convenient and fast, perfect for commuting between Oxford and London.

However, there are areas that need improvement. The UX and UI of the app need attention, as tickets sometimes disappear. Additionally, the quality of the buses could be better. Many times, the electric plugs and USB ports don’t work, and the toilets are often dirty, lacking paper, soap, and water. The timing of the buses could also be more reliable.

A convenient membership plan with perks would be a great addition. Overall, Oxford Tube is a solid option, but there’s room for improvement.

Timetable never useful, bus driver always early or late every single time slot. WiFi is never available at least 2 years. But stagecoach doesn’t care, this is the only bus service between Oxford and London.

The bus drivers are so nice and very helpful.

App glitched and activated my ticket and showed me that it had already been used. I had never used it, forced to by a new ticket. When trying to speak with customer service refused to accept what I had to say cause they have “accurate” systems. Bunch of bs. I’m so upset.

I had a return ticket from London to Oxford and I wanted to use it the opposite the driver said it was not possible to do so. I told him that was an excuse to charge me again. He got mad at me shouting that "you are accusing me and the company of charging you more. In the entire history of this country you have to use return ticket ....". After I asked him why he does not calming explaining that without shouting at me, he told me "if I was not calm under nobody's terms,......". I felt he intimated me .. after asking him if he was intimidating me his behaviour changed and put his hand off the card reader letting me pay again.

It was a bad experience and I felt threatened by his behavior.

On a side note, of course the company is charging more that it should. For a journey of 100 kms they charge 14 pounds while in the neighboring country, Ireland, the coach ticket from Galway to Dublin, 200km, is 14 euros cheaper than 14 pounds for twice the distance...

Paid for a return ticket to High Wycombe. On my trip back the driver told me the bus wasn't stopping in High Wycombe anymore. No more buses to High Wycombe that day which meant I had to spend another £17 for a train ticket. Should have just got the train in the first place.

This would be a 5* review, as it is such a frequent and reliable service with really helpful drivers - but in the last 5 months the wifi, which used to be great, has taken a nosedive. I use the service once a week and used to be able to work happily online on the bus. It isn't that it is slow, it is more that it seems to block access - "Not available" message - to sites. I'm talking sites like Trainline or BBC News or my university? This is *not* a problem I have experienced anywhere else, it worked fine last year, and I have not changed my settings. I would be less annoyed about it if it weren't so difficult to get anyone in the service to look into it. I don't hassle the drivers as it is not their fault - but trying to get anyone in the organisation to do anything about seems hopeless.

1)The Wifi was not working.
2) No contact point was given to report the problem
3) General complaint form was not working too! It is blocking complaints by system error.
It asks you to choose your location from the list. After you do that, it gives you many errors and you can’t proceeded.

Then I tried different locations and one of it worked without errors. I was finally able to submit my complaint.

I’m incredibly upset and rattled by the rude and terrible service I’ve had on the Oxford Tube/Stagecoach Oxfordshire today.

At the Marble Arch stop going towards Oxford this afternoon, a driver refused to let me on in the rain unless I put my banjo which is in a soft case (and not much larger than a violin) in the luggage hold beneath the coach. He refused to listen when I said it would be damaged since it is in a soft, not bulky case and that it fits above the seats. He kept saying ‘no Madame, no. All musical instruments larger than a violin have to go underneath. It’s policy, etc.’ His tone was aggressive, demeaning and completely unnecessary especially given that I was polite and naturally concerned about damage to an expensive musical instrument.

I waited a further fifteen minutes for the next service. This next driver said nothing and my banjo fit perfectly above the seats, which I captured with my camera for the formal complaint.

I’ve taken this instrument on several Oxford Tube trips the last few months and most drivers have been reasonable and respectful. Some have said it needs to be stored in the luggage storage above and not in a seat, which I completely understand and have adhered to on every single journey. There is always ample space above the seats to fit this instrument.

I understand the Oxford Tube has a blanket policy about what luggage is allowed on board for the safety of others and that it’s dependent on space and the driver’s discretion. In this instance though, the driver didn’t listen, provide an adequate or rational explanation, or deliver this policy with kindness and understanding. All that to say, I will be lodging a formal complaint and thinking twice about using this service in the future. Fellow musicians travelling with instruments beware.

They say no hot food. They make you bin cold food. Driver says it’s the company policy. No one one the bus. Just fanies spoiling nothing. Very disappointing. Literally only me on the bus . 8th feb 00;45. Driver is a fanny

The real-time map is worse than useless. The app is very unreliable. If you have to use this service, just have to do it the old way. Wait at the stop and hope.

I travel a lot in and, although it pains me to say it, this country is an embarrassment in terms of its infrastructure and services.

Got on the Oxford Tube at 10.30 (it’s 10.50 now). It’s hot as hell on the coach, with all fans blaring. Multiple passengers have asked driver to turn heating off, apparently, he can’t. Everybody is very hot and uncomfortable. Poor.

You can't buy the reduced fare tickets via the broken, useless app as advertised - forcing you to pay the more expensive fare on the coach. SCAM.

The 18.46 service from Marble Arch to carterton last night didn’t arrive the bus that arrived at that time was only going to Oxford as was the one following that!!! Driver unable to tell us if there was another bus to carterton as stated on the timetable. Ended up going into oxford and getting the S1 to carterton!!!! Drivers unhelpful

Travelling past one year. Very useful and most of the drivers are excellent. Special recognition to Jai. Nice and so polite.

Wanted to go to Marble Arch but the bus ignored all stops after Shepherd’s Bush and went straight to Victoria. Shambolic

The bus driver shooed me instead of scanning my code. It is not nice to be treated like livestock

I can track the path of flights across the world on my phone. But the Oxford tube app just simply doesn’t work. The service itself is excellent, but unless you getting a very early bus, it is very hard to trust the Oxford tube.
