Driver was very rude in terms of food allowance on the bus. Insisted we would “get the next coach” if we chose to keep food on the bus. Overall experience on the return coach was poor as the driver was very condescending and lacked empathy.

I chose the Oxford tube because it was good value for money.

When you get on the bus, the service is fine and worth trying. Getting on the bus couldn’t be harder! Congratulations Oxford Tube, after several attempts you have made to update, upgrade, and fix your App, you have achieved the worst ‘stool sample’ of an App that exists. Good luck everyone trying to use it, especially if you are outside a city! You could be forgiven for thinking they do this on purpose! All you want to do is to go on the App, check for a bus and the time (or even the live map), and plan your journey………but no!

Who works there? Human or robot? Why they don’t look at behind to see any running passengers? They always don’t wait for people in a hurry for them!

Driver 86920 told me my food that was in a container was not allowed on his bus or I could wait 20 minutes for the next tube which is unacceptable specially when it doesn’t say anything like that on the website

Very good experience - in fact a bit of a God-send for visiting the John Radcliffe hospital (which is nowhere near the train station) from north London. Fast and comfy with friendly drivers. I have made several return trips and was never disappointed.

I went from Oxford to London on the Oxford Tube. The journey itself was ok but it was freezing on the coach. However, my complaint is about getting the wrong fare. I was overcharged by £1. I am bothered about the pound but it is a matter of principle. I contacted by email the Oxford Tube on 3 occassions. That was 2 months ago, I still have not had any reply. Appalling company.

Staff are demeaning, toilets look like a war zone and the ticketing policy feels fraudulent. They forced us to but additional tickets on the day because for some inexplicable reason, emails must be printed so that they can be exchanged for another piece of printed paper. This policy is clearly wasteful and patently designed to cause mistakes so they can extract double fares.
When we reported being harassed by the drivers, head office replied with a shrug claiming the situation was out of their hands. It was a deeply unsettling experience and I would not advise travelling with them.

Despite some of these negative reviews, I regularly travel on the Oxford Tube and have great journeys. The coach drivers are polite and helpful (Claire today was particularly friendly and helpful) and the journey itself is comfortable.

Generally the coaches run on time, and I encounter no problems travelling from Marble Arch to Thornhill or Oxford city.

I much prefer the Oxford Tube over National Express because of the legroom, quiet journeys and comfortable seats and lighting. I would recommend them.

Went to Thornhill park and ride to go to london all coaches were full after two hours went to Gloucester green impossible to get a coach so had to get a train . So much for council saying use P&R . And oxford tube moto we will get you there.Need more coaches and greater competition on this route.

We took the bus from Victoria Station to Oxford (M40X). at 10:40. Although the bus was scheduled to depart at 10:40 the bus already departed at 10:36. Fortunately we arrived 5 min earlier otherwise we would have missed the bus. In the bus it was stuffy and hot due to the brocken climate control. In addition WLAN was not working. I can not recommend this bus company.

I tried to get to Wembley for the rugby final today (Oxford to Hillingdon then Metropolitan line to Wembley Park). I got to Thornhill P&R at 10.45, but couldn't get on any coaches as they were full. Helpfully told to go to Gloucester Green to get on at the start of the journey, which I did. Two hours later back at Thornhill. I gave up and went home to watch on TV. I have requested a refund for the coach and rugby ticket. Absolutely farcical service and I will never use again. I would have given no stars if given the option.

Full buses ALL THE TIME... What is wrong with their management... You'd think with the amount they've hiked their prices over the last 4 years they'd do something productive about it. It's not even a hard problem to solve... Almost worth just getting the train now.

We booked and paid in full to board the Oxford Tube to London Sunday 6 August from Thornhill Park & Ride. The time table says buses are every 15 minutes, great we arrived 10:30. Only to find the next 4 buses were full, none of the drivers stopped at Thornhill to impart any information to the long queue of people waiting to board; the buses simply sailed by. The Oxford tube app isn't fit for purpose. There was no notification informing the app user that there was a problem at Oxford train station. We eventually worked out ourselves that train passengers were boarding the Oxford Tube buses to full capacity from central Oxford.
We were then forced to travel from Thornhill to Oxford town bus station, we then joined the long queue and managed to board Oxford Tube 3 hours later.
On our return boarding the bus at Victoria at approx. 5:45 pm the driver didn't turn on the monitor so we had no idea what bus stop was coming up. To the annoyance of us and other passengers the driver chose to ignore the call button requesting the driver to stop at Speedwell Street.
No-one on the other 10 stops could get onto the bus as they were all full from the start of the route. Outrageous.

I've used Oxford tube for many years. I'm not sure I'll use them any more. I arrived in Headington around 10.25 this morning. Not a busy time, I thought, but apparently I was wrong: the bus drove past me "full". I got on the next bus. This evening, I've had to wait 114 minutes at the Kensington stop, while bus after bus drove past. If every bus is full, at £21 for each return fare, they must be raking it in. They won't be getting my money any more. I've got better things to do than sit at a bus stop watching their buses go past, and if you expect to get home at a time convenient for you, I'd recommend you also look elsewhere.

M40 was closed jnc 3-4 but the driver got lost in Wycombe and didn't know how to get back to Oxford. Clearly couldn't follow sat nav - hopeless !!
It took 3 hours !

I chose the Oxford tube because it was good value for money. The bus itself wasn’t crowded (13:10hrs from Victoria) the seat was comfy and it was clean. The journey time was two hours but that seems fair because London traffic is always bad and it’s a bus! My biggest issue was that it was freezing cold but at least I could plug my phone into a USB socket.

Oh dear… thought I would be in the minority. Made the mistake of asking a question via email regarding tube 12 tickets. Got a gibberish response after 4 days, emailed my screenshot from the app and waited another 3 days for a reply telling me to spend £100 for 12 tickets when I normally spend £40! Pinged back a complaint, asked for a manager to contact me, this was 10 days ago. Another email & 2 phone calls asking for a manager to bother calling me I have no progress, no manager calling me. Team on the phone can only stick to a ‘process’ that doesn’t work. Clearly, reading the comments customers are just jot valued

Very convenient and comfortable way to get from London to Oxford. The ability to get on and off at different places is better than the train. We were positively surprised that we could buy a group ticket for 3 people.

While we were paying £2 to park at Thornhill Park and Ride we noticed that that no one seemed to be getting on the parked Oxford Tube. The next bus did not even not stop, it was also fully occupied. The queue that we had joined became much longer and the next bus was also full. Very disappointed we reluctantly abandoned the trip that we had spent weeks planning and returned home.
In preference to using the train, since 2004, we have regularly used the bus service from Oxford to London. This was the first time we could not complete our planned journey.
