Orange Ways Arvostelua 

I am wrting this review quite late but nonetheless its required so that more people aren't duped by this fake company.
We had booked two tickets from Berlin to Prague in june 2014. It was an early morning departure and we reached the station atleast an hour in advance. But to our shock there was no information on this bus anywhere, no counters, no one knew about it. We spent a very long time frantically looking for it, but it never arrived. Finally we had to book another bus for a later departure. we not only lost our money, but suffered a lot of inconvenience running around looking for it and sending our plans in Prague in total disarray!!
There were a lot of emails exchanged with the website where they promised to look into the matter but nothing happened. I just don't want more people to be fooled by this fake company.

A Febbraio 2014 ho prenotato 4 biglietti (2 adulti e 2 bambini) da Budapest a Bratislava per l'autobus che partiva il 19 Agosto 2014 alle 08.00.
Il giorno prima della partenza, quindi il 18 Agosto 2014, mi hanno mandato un sms in cui mi avvisavano che l'autobus non sarebbe partito e che se volevo potevo partire alle 3 di notte (con due bambini!!!) oppure alle 17.30 del giorno successivo, cosa non possibile perchè cosa ci andavo a fare a Bratislava alle 20.00 di sera?
Mi sono subito recato alla loro biglietteria a Budapest, nei pressi dello stadio del Frencvaros, e il ragazzo allo sportello (molto scortese e con un sorriso di chi vuole prendere in giro) mi ha detto che non facevano rimborsi per le prenotazioni fatte on-line e che avrei dovuto scrivere una mail.
Così ho fatto, appena tornato a casa, quindi ad Agosto 2014. Sono seguite delle risposte automatiche da parte dell'assistenza e poi una mail in cui mi chiedevano i biglietti (come se loro non li avessero!) dicendomi che bisognava attendere 90 giorni per le procedure di accertamento.
Oggi siamo a Marzo 2015 e dopo numerosi solleciti i soldi non li ho ancora visti e soprattutto non ricevo più risposte alle mie mail!!!

Segnalo anche che nello stesso giorno in cui è stata annullata la nostra prenotazione, atri autobus che dovevano percorrere tratte diverse dalla nostra non sono partiti e quindi abbiamo trovato anche altre persone che si lamentavano!!!

Non prenotate perchè vi rubano i soldi.

My boyfriend and I booked an Orangeways bus from Budapest to Zagreb for Valentine's Day weekend, not knowing about the company's terrible reputation. Our bus was scheduled to leave Budapest at 6:00 am on the morning of Friday, February 13.

We arrived at the stop at 5:40 am that morning - there were 2 other orangeways buses there, and one from another company, but none were going to Zagreb. We asked all of the drivers if they knew when the bus to Zagreb was coming and none of them knew. The actual Orangeways ticket station was closed until 9, so there were no staff to help us.

We waited at the stop for an hour and a half, and the bus to Zagreb never arrived. We repeatedly asked the other drivers about the whereabouts of this bus, and they were unhelpful and mocking - one of them even lied to us and pointed us towards the wrong bus, and then started laughing at us with his friends.

Finally, someone took us seriously enough to talk with us further, and he kept telling us that the bus left because we were late - but we had been there since 20 minutes before the departure time, and no bus to Zagreb had even shown up. Thankfully, we were able to get a train to Zagreb, but had we not we would've had to miss out on the entire weekend during which we had already made expensive hotel reservations.

I've been trying to email Orangeways to get a refund and keep getting the same unhelpful form letter saying that my request will take 90 days to process. Absolutely ridiculous.

***If you are traveling from Budapest to Zagreb - take the train!!! Worth the extra money and still very affordable, not to mention comfortable and reliable unlike Orangeways.

I was in a bus Berlin to Bratislava, and somewhere in the Czech republic (in a city called Lovosice), the bus stopped for a little break. I was not feeling weel and needed to go to the bathroom then i went. When i came back where the bus stopped, where was the bus? The bus had left and me and my friend were alone in the middle of the road with no houses nearby, just a gas station and a McDonalds. ( Dont you count the passengers on the bus before leaving?) We were desesperated, ALONE AND WITHOUT OUR BAGS, but ok, we tried to call to the office of the company but it doesnt work in Sunday. So, we request a ride to a woman who works at McDonalds and she kindly took us to the city train station, about 10 km far from where we were. We had to buy a ticket to go to Bratislava by train. We were left approximately at 9:30PM and took the train in another city (not Lovosice) at 4:40AM to Prague and then 7:42AM from Prague to Bratislava. It means, more than 11 hours trying to go to Bratislava. We arrived in Bratislava at 11:30AM. Ours emails were not answered and we have come to Budapest today, even it wasnt our planes but we needed our bags. So, we come and at least our bags were in the "office". We asked to be refounded and the woman who works there said that she didnt know and could not do anything because the "office" is not there. We asked about the adreess of the office, and she said that she could not give us the adreess because we could not go there. Whyyyy cant we? She said: "just by e-mail" however, you dont answer our emails. So, we came to home and when we opened our bags were missing some of our belongings... So, we hope that this story can be solved as soon as possible. At least that you answer ours emails.

I waited for 3 hours in prague and they never showed up. Lost my flight. Lost my next flight. And lost pre booked tour money because of orange ways just deciding they didn't feel like picking us up.

I cannot review the bus itself because they never gave me a ticket I paid for. I sent them email after email and the person kept replying "hello how can I help" or "i don't know what happened". UNACCEPTABLE. I showed up to the bus with my payment info and was not enough to let me in. I emailed gain and again because I paid for roundtrip prague to dresden, and only got one sentence vague responses. Seriously just stick to Student Agency. They actually care and have great service in board and online. I am beyond mad because this happened today and I want to make sure no one goes with this scam company

Currently sitting on the bus, going from Dresden to Prague... it's night and winter outside, hot and cosy inside the bus, so plenty of chance to write a little review and add my two cents to the story... or seemingly, the saga of Orangeways! ;]

I found this bus service/company via the 'Busliniensuche' website, definitely the best site for comparing all sorts of 'Fernbus' intercity buses traversing Germany and finding some discounted Deutsche Bahn long-distance railway tickets at the same time, too.

Orangeways was the cheapest option for that time of day from Dresden to Prague, so of course I was immediately hooked, nevermind that I never had heard of them before and there were plenty of other more reputable/better known operators in the remaining list... the challenge of saving (only a few) Euros got me, so I opened the link to their site and it seemed alright... a button to change from the company's native Hungarian language to German and English was found.

But, the translation stopped as soon as the booking and payment procebutton started by clicking on the 'Book' button.
There was no way to change from the Hungarian that the site had fallen back on to either German or English.
Being a cheapskate and out for a challenge though, I, with the help of Google translate for every single bit of Hungarian, went about fighting my way to the end of the process instead of immediately absconding... until all was booked and paid for.
A confirmation mail arrived an hour or so later, though after the final page with the booking code was long printed out by me.

Of to Dresden I went, waited on time... the Orangeways bus was almost 10mins late, with no SMS and no eMail warning of any delay ahead of this. Having in the meantime (while nervously waiting) read the previous users comments online, I was out for the bus to not arrive at all... and had already opened the page for Studentagency, the next bus in line due to depart to Prague only 20mins later.
I reserved a seat on their bus and was holding out with the payment process, when suddenly a non-descript bus turned the corner and parked. No 'orange' logos, no nothing... just two friendly looking chaps, ie. the drivers, who seemd to speak no word of German or English. So we all just nodded in agreement and on the bus and on to Prague we went.

The flappy front door seemed a little illegit already when entering the bus and sure thing, the front foor opened just a weeny bit when already out on the motorway/Autobahn, letting in quite some wind noise for a few moments, and was twice simply closed again. That possibly explains the heat turned up inside the bus to a cosy, seemingly 30degs Celsius... to preventively fight the November winds gushing in at any moment. :]]

And yes, the bus stopped at a rest stop along the motorway outside of Dresden, so that probably means that the toilet was either not working or even non-existent.
I simply had not looked/cared enough for 'the facilities' upon entering the bus in order to be sure. :]

In conclusion, and while having already quite safely mastered half the distance to Prague on board now... Yes, this bus operator is a bit of a risky adventure, should anyone choose to skimp on the bucks and not choose to pay only a couple of Euros more for one of the many more reliable operators going to and fro across borders, not to speak of the shiny new fleets of 'Fernbuses' within Germany proper.

It's your call... and perhaps I was just lucky?! But they, meaning Orangeways, must be doing at least something right or else they wouldn't be in the business anymore?!
Easily said though, when having a credit card with me, a phone with internet access, and being in my native Germany and the last bus for the night not having left yet... instead of being lost... standing in the rain and cold in the middle of nowhere in some foreign place.

Mon bus de Budapest à Bratislava (7h am) n'est jamais venu. J'étais 30 min en avance, au bon endroit (l'arrêt est à l'extérieur de la vrai gare de Budapest). Apparemment il aurait fallut que je prenne le bus pour Prague et ils faisaient l'arrêt à Bratislava. L'homme en charge de vérifier les billets a omis de me le dire. Impossible de joindre la compagnie et aucune réponse à mes courriels pour un remboursement.

Une heure plus tard, j'attendais avec des gens qui allaient à Prague. Leur bus (était supposé d'arriver à 8h) avait été devancé d'une heure sans qu'ils en soient informés.

Heureusement, très cheap! Je vous conseille d'opter plutôt pour la compagnie Student Agency. Les bus y sont plus confortables et possibilité d'écouter des films avec un petit écran individuel.

My bus for Bratislava never came. I was there 30 min in advance. It was impossible to reach the company by phone and they're not responding to my emails for a refund.

I was waiting with people who went to Prague. Their bus had been preceded an hour without their knowing about it.

At least I have been able to take another bus with Student agency wich was very satisfying. Only 10 euro, cheaper than Orange ways. Very comfortable and there's little individual screens to watch movies.

I was going to take a bus from Berlin to Prague last July, but the Orangeways bus never came, without an explanation. I had bought the tickets two days ago and everything seemed to be in order. They never told me about the delayed, they just didn´t come. No one in the ZOB Bus Station in Berlin knew what was wrong with this bus, but they were not suprised since they told me that it had allready happened quite often. I was really shocked, and now I can only recommend NEVER to use this bus company.

We booked tickets for a trip von Vienna to Budapest. Because I have read all those horrible reviews about the company we had not very high expectations. But the bus was on time...at least we left Vienna on time, arrived in Budapest about 30minutes late, but that was ok for us. The bus stopped once for a short break, so everyone could use the bathroom, which was not working on the bus but it takes only about 3,5 hours to get to Budapest from Vienna so I thought it was ok without a toilet on the bus. If you want to travel in a clean and airconditioned bus you should not use orangeways...there was no cleaning inbetween and no trashcans on board. So there were a lot of bottles and trash from the former guests. And the aircondition did not work, so I would not recommend the bus while it is very warm outside. So all in all the bus was not perfect, but alright. We arrived in Budapest and also back in Vienna. So I think for a shorter trip like Budapest to Vienna it is ok to use it, I would recommend it for a longer trip....

WARNING TO ALL TRAVELERS BETWEEN AUSTRIA, HUNGARY, CZECH REPUBLIC: DO NOT USE ORANGEWAYS BUS COMANY !! IT IS DANGEROUS AND TERRIBLE!

My two friends and I were scheduled to take an orangeways bus from Vienna to Budapest on August 2nd, 2014 at 19:30. The bus stop was next to Vienna Olympiaplatz stadium, where there is no indoor waiting area after 19:00. It was a cold and rainy day. At 20:00, 30 minutes after The bus was supposed to leave, we received a text message saying the bus would be three hours delayed without any explanation for why. We phoned orangeways several times but they did not answer. Because we were already outside of Vienna center with all our luggage, and the taxi was expensive, we decided to stay put as we thought the wait would be only three hours, not enough time to go back into the city center for dinner. Because it was freezing cold and pouring rain and there was no where to wait inside at the bus stop, we wandered around for about an hour looking for shelter. Luckily we found an u-bahn (metro) station where we waited, standing up for three hours, only to receive another text stating the bus was further delayed by an additional two hours, again without explanation. We had no choice but to wait for the bus to come because we had an important meeting in Budapest the next morning and there was no train that we could take instead which would get us there in time. Again we tried to call orange ways but there was no answer. After more than five hours of waiting in the cold, the bus finally arrived.

Driver did not speak English or German, only Hungarian. A Hungarian passenger explained to us the bus had broken down in the countryside and took hours to repair, leaving the passengers on it stranded and us waiting in Vienna for hours on end.

Why orange ways did not answer the phone or send a replacement bus is unacceptable.

There were two people waiting with us who needed to catch flights from Budapest the next morning and they were counting on the bus being on time, others had important business meetings the next day and could not afford delay.

When our bus finally arrived, it had a big blackened burn on the back of it as if an explosion had happened. We then got on the bus and had to wait an hour before the driver was ready to leave to Budapest. The ride was extremely bumpy, and the bus sounded as if it was clearly broken, with lots of metal rattling noises. What's more, we had the same driver as the bus that was stranded for eight hours, and I was extremely worried he would fall asleep at the wheel after his exhausting journey.

After another 4 Hours drive, we finally arrived to Budapest at four in the morning, without any correspondence or apology from Orangeways.

I would advise all passengers never to take this company, I wish I had seen all of the hundreds of negative reviews online before I book these tickets, as I would have known better!

Orangeways does not care about its passengers, they do not respond to phone calls, The bus was 5 hours delayed, broken, dangerous, and so was the driver.

They treated us like cattle, not like human beings.

This company's behavior is simply criminal, and they should not be allowed to be in business!!

Please post this all over the Internet if you have had a similar experience!!

I booked my ticket to go from Prague to Dresden and the bus turned up an hour late, without any explanation. At this point I already knew that I would miss my train leaving from Dresden.
But after a stop at a petrol station in the Czech Republik the bus broke down and the busdrivers asked us to push to bus a bit. Of course everybody thought that was a joke, so nobody actually did anything. Overheard a conversation of the busdrivers, that this was already the 2nd time today, that this happens.
That is just not acceptable, to driver longer distances with a bus that already broke down once this day.

2buchungen - 2 x storniert!! Kurz vorher, absolutes no go

This company is completely unreliable. I purchased their bus ticket from Budapest to Berlin which suppose depart on 22nd July , 2014 at 8 a.m.. However, 10 hours before the departure time, they sent an e-mail to me and said they have technical problem so the bus will delay 15 hours until 23:30 p.m.. I have already reserved the hostel in Berlin for 4 nights, which means i already wasted one night. Unfortunately, around 21:45, which is before the 'new' departure time 2 hours before, they said they have a technical problem so the bus is cancelled. I have to stayed in Budapest for one more night without any place to stay and waste one more night in Berlin. Totally lost 2 nights hostel money, also time.

I truly believe that Orangeways cancel the bus is not because technical problem but they DON'T have enough passages to support this busline, so they choose to cancel. ( As i saw the e-mail from Orangerways, their e-mail list only have 10 people. )

I strongly recommend never ever purchase any product from Orangerways. It is a totally terrible company. You can see other negative reviews in Tripadvisor.

I bought a ticket from Bratislava to Berlin (16.06.2014), and the bus didn't come! They went bankrupt, but you can still buy ticket on their webpage.

We had an awful experience with this company. Our bus from Berlin to Budapest broke down in a gas station in Czech Republic and the service to repair the bus refused to come and fix the bus because they were not sure the the company (Orangeways) will pay them! We stopped there for 8 ours, slept on the bus, I than had to hitch-hike the morning after with a merciful guy with a van that gave me a lift to Budapest. I took 22 Hours to reach Budapest.
Now...I´m still waiting for the refund that probably I will never see.
Also be aware that if you book bus during the week, Tuesdays and Wednesday, they often get cancelled the day before ( happened once, heard of another story too), probably because there are not enough people catching them!
If you go for them, be ready for the adventure!

Ich hatte ein Ticket von Berlin nach Bratislava online gekauft. Eine Stunde vor Abfahrt bekam ich eine E-Mail, dass der Bus wegen angeblichen technischen Problemen nicht abfahren wird und ich dafür den nächsten nehmen könnte (statt um 7.30 dann um 17.00Uhr). Da ich aber früher in Bratislava ankommen sollte, musste ich mich um eine andere Verbindung mit anderen Unternehmen und Mitfahrgelegenheiten kümmern. (Im Nachhinein kann ich sagen, das war die beste Entscheidung).
Die Rückfahrt wäre an einem Montag um 02.45Uhr gewesen. Leider kam der Bus auch nicht, aber auch keine E-Mail von Orangeways. Also war ich gezwungen die nächste Verbindung in Anspruch zu nehmen, diese war um 11.00 morgens. Jedoch war dieser Bus auch nicht erschienen, woraufhin ich versuchte Orangeways telefonisch in Budapest zu erreichen. Nach 5 Versuchen konnte ich sie auch erreichen. Mir wurde versprochen, dass die darauffolgende Verbindung (also wieder um 2.45 Uhr) sicher besteht und so wurde mein Ticket umgebucht. Also habe ich wieder in Bratislava nachts einige Stunden verbracht, ohne dass der Bus erschienen ist (Natürlich wieder keine Email mit Vorwarnung). Wobei in Richtung Budapest ein Orangeways Bus kam. Es war ein sehr alter Bus und überhaupt nicht zu erkennen, dass er zu Orangeways gehört (wenn man die Bilder auf ihrer Facebookseite betrachet). Die Fahrgäste, die zum rauchen ausgestiegen sind beschwerten sich, dass es weder W-Lan, noch eine Toilette gibt (bei über 8Std pausenlose Fahrt!!!) Und einige Sitze waren kaputt.
So sitze ich also immer noch in Bratislava fest um muss mich nur um andere Verbindungen kümmern. Ob ich das Geld überhaupt wieder bekomme ist fraglich. Also ich kann nur sagen, dass ist das schlimmste Busunternehmen überhaupt.

I bought a very cheap ticket from Budapest to Krakow then read horrible reviews after the fact so I was nervous, but no reason. Bus showed up on time but it did stop at the corner, not the actual bus stop so you need to keep your eyes peeled. The bus was very clean, seats reclined and I had leg room. Drive was smooth and comfortable and the drivers were very nice. I'd definitely use them again.

Me and my girlfriend were travelling with this scam company three times in september this year.

Our first bus ride was from Bratislava to Budapest, everything was good at this time. Bus looked like the one from advertisement.

Our second ride (Budapest - Bratislava) looked worse, bus was old and filthy, there was no seatbelts, toilet was closed (too bad we really wanted to use it) and we were on our destination about 20 minutes later than we should be, becouse of long break on gas station in Hungary.

Third one was the charm... we wanted to travel from Bratislava to Prague and we waited 2 hours for bus that didn't arrived. There was no message from Orangeways that something was wrong. We tried to call to call center but it was saturday and there was no one to pick up the phone. Good that we didn't spend all of out money being in Bratislava and could buy a ticket from another line (Eurolines), their bus service was really nice.

While finally travelling to Prague i used a wifi network to send an email to Orangeways, i recieved an answer two days later, that bus tire was broken and driver needed to wait for replacement (should'nt they have spare wheel with them?!) they also told us that we will get refund for our ticket. Now there's two and half month, there's no money back and they are not responding for emails.

Save your money and time AVOIDING ORANGEWAYS.
