Orange Ways Arvostelua 

My brother and his friend waited this bus from Krakow to Budapest for two and a half hours. They paid their tickets in advance, on internet and payed 25 € per person. But bus never came. They don't responde on e-mails or phone calls. My brother and his friend rented a mini bus for Budapest and they spended so much extra money beacuse of this bad compnay. Very rude, you can't do this to people! Shame on you!

This one is really funny. Not only they took my cash and gave me no ticket (the site crashes on payment), their emails don't work, they don't answer phones, they never showed up. This is a total scam, so don't fall for it, people.

I took the bus from Vienna to Budapest 1h50m after the scheduled time without any notice that it was delayed, I thought I had missed the bus. Terrible bus, no toilets, very old and rude drivers. No air conditioner.

Then, I have to take the bus from Budapest to Krakow since they are the only bus company to get there. The 60's bus was a nightmare, they had to make a stop every 30 minutes because the smoke went inside the bus. We asked several times to turn the air conditioner on but they didn't hear our request.
The drivers were totally rude, they broke a traffic signal trying to park in a gas station and run away. The bus arrived to Krakow 4 hours later the scheduled time.

Avoid this company at all!!

I booked a ticket from Munich to Budapest on 13th July 2015, at 10:00. The ticket cost 35 Euros. Later, I received a message that my bus was cancelled, so I figured out other way to go to Budapest and when I arrived, I went to the bus station and I looked for the ticket office of the OrangeWays company. The guy who worked in your office took note of my name and ticket number and said that in a couple of days the company would refund me. So, today is 28th July and I didn't get my money back yet. I am trying to contact them by many ways (Facebook's page, e-mail, phone) and nobody answer me.

I have bought a ticket from Krakow to Budapest. Few minutes before the departure passengers were informed that there was an accident with the bus, and that they will send a replacement in some 7 HOURS. Then, they informed passengers that the replacement was found sooner. However, at the moment of leaving the bus station it appeared that there was something wrong with the bus, and it was not allowed to leave the station. Bus drivers were confused and did not know what to do with the bus. Afterwards, none of the passengers was contacted, the bus trip simply did not happen. It costed me 100 euro and another 24 hours since the scheduled departure to complete my trip; and I guess, according to their general rules, this will be treated as "less than 72 hours before the departure" cancellation policy which entitles the passenger to 20% refund of the ticket price. AVOID.

I have booked 5 tickets for me and my friends from Krakow to Budapest. The bus was supposed to leave Krakow at 22:30, but four days after I purchased the tickets, I got an e-mail saying 'there's been a change in departure time'. They changed the bus to 14:30!

We cannot leave Krakow so early so I decided to inform the company. As I bought the tickets over a month before the trip (bought them in June for August 13th), I thought maybe there's a way to get a full refund (since Orangeways is the one who changed the terms). I had no idea this company is a bankrupt... I send them 6 or 7 e-mails, but got no response, exept for one e-mail saying 'hello! tickets! best regards! with rebooked tickets enclosed... It is impossible to contact them right now. They should give us at least 20% of tickets value (according to their own rules), but a this point I'm pretty sure we won't see a dime. Looks like they found a way to make money after all...

It's a nightmare... I think we should all get our tickets refunded, or I don't know, file a lawsuit against them. Seriously, somebody should report it somewhere.

I have booked tickets Berlin-Prague-Berlin and Vienna-Budapest-Vienna and in both cases I have got a SMS about a few hours before departure that the lines were cancelled "for technical reasons".

I travelled twice with them and the busses or terrible old (like Russin busses in the 1980s), they are dirty, not toilets, no WiFi, the drivers are impolite or rude, they are always too late (if the lines are not cancelled) and now I am waiting to get a refund for my tickets because I didn´t cancel the tickets - ORANGEWAYS has cancelled the lines.

BUT they don´t answer.

Also not via their Facebook page...

Terrible, unbelievable, google for them in the web, you will find many complaints.

We booked them for 12th July 2015 Budapest-Vienna. It was chaos!! Learnt that OrangeWays are bankrupt. Their buses don't operate! People book tickets on their website, but buses: A) don't show up; B) they send old replacement bus with less seats and people don't fit in ! It was nightmare! Don't book them!

I have booked a ticket with OrangeWays (because was the only night bus) from Krakow to Budapest at 22:30 on 07/07 and one week before they changed the bus to 14:30.
So on 07/07 at 14:30 the bus didn't show up, me and 20 people waiting and calling them (once they picked up and said didn't know why the bus was late) with barely any answer, after 2 and half hours, they sent SMS to some passengers saying that "unfortunately due to technical problems, the bus wouldn't departure to Budapest".
There were no options to go to Budapest at that time/day and everybody had to find different ways to get to our destinations, when possible.
I had to work the next day and it was very difficult, expensive and tiring to achieve that, with no consideration of the company. NEVER AGAIN.

I had a very similar experience as the the other reviews. I booked my ticket in advance with orangeways from Kraków to Budapest departed at 2.30pm.

Unfortunately, as this is Europe and I thought I would be protected under the European trading standard laws I never even thought to check a review on the company - how I wish I had!!!

The experience I had was very much everyone else. The bus arrived 2hrs late, when it did it was probably the oldest bus I have ever seen - I really don't know where they've managed to get it and really can't believe it was road safe.

We drove for about 4 hrs and then at some point in the middle of nowhere we broke down. We had to wait on the bus till 3am till another bus arrived. We finally arrived in Budapest at 7.30am the next day - a 7hr trip taking 17hrs.

These people are fraudsters, the company is a scam and as other reviews have suggested - not only are your giving out your bank details to criminals but you are putting yourself in danger using this company.

Why this company is still being allowed to trade I have do idea! Please don't put yourself through it!

Me and my friend booked an Orangeways bus from Kraków to Budapest in June 2015. The bus was meant to arrive at 14:30, but it never arrived.

We waited for 5 hours without hearing anything from anyone from the bus company. We tried to phone Orangeways, and failed. We emailed orangeways, and got no reply. We asked the staff at the bus station if they knew anything, but they didn't.

There were about 20 of us waiting for the bus, and after 5 hours of waiting, one person received an SMS from Orangeways stating that the bus had broken down just outside of Kraków, and that they would send another bus from Budapest to Kraków to pick us up (apparently there was no orangeways office in Kraków and therefore no other bus there that could pick us up). No one else heard anything from Orangeways. The sms stated that the replacement bus from Budapest would be there at 22:30.

At this point some of the other people who had booked tickets on the orangeways bus decided to buy tickets from another bus company (eurolines) to Budapest on a bus that left at 23:45. However, we decided to wait for the orangeways bus.

22:30 came and went, and the bus still didn't show up. Out of sheer desperation, we bought tickets from the driver of the eurolines bus when it arrived, and went to Budapest on the eurolines bus.

When we arrived in Budapest, we went straight to the orangeways office there in order to ask for a refund. However, they were very rude and unhelpful and insisted that they couldn't help us and told us that we should email their head offices. We have now been emailing and phoning their head offices for almost a month, and have still heard nothing from them. We have not been refunded. Trying to use Orangeways has been a terrible experience, and I will never use this bus company again.

My family and I booked tickets on the orange ways bus for May 31st from Krakow to Budapest. We arrived at the bus station early to make sure we wouldn't miss the bus after hearing reviews that the bus would sometimes leave early. We waited around and at 2:30, the scheduled departure time the bus was still nowhere to be seen. A few trips to the information desk later abd we were informed that it was quite normal for the bus to be late.

About an hour and 15 minutes later, the bus finally arrives. Yay! Or so we think.... We all get on the bus to start our scenic trip through the Polish and Slovak countyside.

Two hours into our journey and the bus catches fire. The bus pulls over to the side of the road and everyone on board scrambles to GET OFF. We are about 15 kms from the Slovakia border (so basically in the middle of nowhere). The police and firemen show up to deal with situation and we continue to wait. A few hours roll by and still nothing. Orange ways does not have a bus to send to us to pick us up from Krakow and is going to send one from Budapest (a 5 hour journey away) which might show up in 6 or 8 or 10 hours.

Meanwhile the bus drivers have decided that they think the bus is fit to drive so they have given us the option to either get back on the bus and continue our journey or go to the next village and wait for a new bus to maybe arrive (outside with all of our luggage) whenever it decides to show up.

We chose the later and ended up getting a taxi at a cost of 400 Euros (between 8 of us) that drove us all the way to Budapest. Thankfully we had a very good driver that made sure we arrived at our destination.

I would never travel with this bus company again. Also, I was unable to contact anyone by phone throughout the entire journey as there was no answer.

Please do yourself a favor and don't even entertain the thought of doing any traveling with Orange Ways.

Worst Company Ever.

It made us wait more than an hour before departure in a cld weather.

We booker a trip from Krakow to Budapest. The bus got there one hour after it was supposed to leave. The bus that got there was not as advertised, it was a incredibly old bus. After only 2 hours, near the boarder with Slovakia, the air filter caught on fire. We had to stop and call police and fireman to the bus. As soon as we stopped the driver said that they called orange ways and they were sending another bus, because that one was unsafe to drive (obviously, it was on fire before) and the fireman forbid the driver to drive that bus. After 2 hours in the side of the road, the fireman and police leave and the driver says that no bus is coming, and that he is going to drive that one, that was on fire, back to Budapest. Who didn't feel safe to go back should find a way to go back by themselves

It has to be said that Orangeways is a problematical operator. It has a very smart website, but the orange bus depicted on it is probably their only one, because all those we saw were in other colours with the logos of other tour companies on them. That also is no problem, and they were perfectly comfortable, but it is their ability to provide reliable on-time service which is in question.

We used them from Zagreb to Budapest, and their departure was almost 6 hours late. They caught up some time as they were then driving through the dead of night, but a 3am arrival time in Budapest was not so desirable! They claimed this was due to 'technical reasons' and a bus breakdown, but it seems they use this excuse rather too often for it to be taken seriously.

We were therefore very nervous before the onward journey we had already booked with Orangeways from Budapest to Krakow. As far as we could find out, no other service covers this route, which follows the E77 'highway' all the way. However, a grey bus with a orange sign for 'Krakko' (Hungarian for Krakow) rolled up 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled departure, and set off bang on time.

'Highway' is a loose description for the very scenic route through the mountains of Slovakia, which is heavily congested in places with a lot of road works along the way. So the bus inevitably fell behind schedule, in the end arriving 45 minutes late, which was no problem at all.

All of this means we had one fairly bad experience, but they did get us there, and one good experience, on which they could not be faulted - grindingly slow traffic is not their fault.

On balance we reckon that Orangeways could become a really useful service around Europe as they cover routes others don't and their fares are very low indeed, but the bottom line is picking up the passengers on time and getting them to their destination on schedule or as close to it as traffic conditions permit. If they can do that with greater certainty they will be very attractive, but we would suggest not to use them if you have a tight time deadline you absolutely must meet. If you have a bit of time on your hands and want to save quite a considerable number of bucks, pounds or euros, then go with them and be a part of helping them improve.

Last week I booked Orangeways (from Krakow to Budapest) for June 20th. It's an overnight bus and I didn't know about all the claims that people have. I just googled and I came across these awful reviews. I booked this bus because it's cheaper than the train and Eurolines does not have an overnight bus for that day (I wanted to save some money). Now, I'm very confused... Is there any way to cancel my tickets? (I bought two). Do you suggest that I have to the take the risk and go that day to the Bus station anyway? If the bus does not show up I have to take the train which is far more expensive.....

Orangeways cannot be trusted. We were booked on the early 6:00 bus from Budapest to Zagreb on 24 April. Upon arrival at the bus terminal, one of the other passengers informed us that she had just then received a text message that the bus had been cancelled. Some of the passengers waiting booked their tickets only 5 hours before! We missed a connecting flight to Dubrovnic and had to spend 26 hours on trains, trams,taxi`s and busses to get to our (non-refundable,fully paid) apartment in Dubrovnic. No help offered, no refunds, no nothing.... We lost a lot of money and a full day of our 12 day trip. Do not use Orangeways. Spread the word. They are not trustworthy and are borderline criminal operators. AVOID,AVOID,AVOID

We had a 6am bus trip booked for Budapest to Zagreb today. I received a text message from Orangeways at 4:40am (we were required to be at the bus terminal at 5:30am) informing me the trip was cancelled due to 'technical reasons,' no further advice as to alternative bus services available, whether we would be refunded our money etc. There are no other daily buses running today, the next one is 6:15 tomorrow morning, the train is not running today and the flights take > 24hrs with many stopovers, or cost > 450 euro each for a more direct flight. We are now taking a private charter bus to Zagreb, which is costing us 320 euro total (compared to the 35 euro total our original Orangeways tickets cost us - almost 10x the price!!!). Please listen to these reviews, I read them before booking but thought they were one off unlucky events. Don't make my mistake. Avoid Orangeways at all cost.

SCAM COMPANY. Booked tickets online (Prague to Berlin). Showed up to the bus terminal. The bus never arrived... No one from the front desk informed us that the bus wasn't coming. Only when I approached them they told me it was cancelled, and that there would be another bus in the afternoon (8 hours later). I doubt that bus was coming either, so I booked with another company. They wouldn't issue a refund because I bought online, but they gave me an email address to contact. I emailed them and never heard back. I've spoken to quite a few people who have had the same experience.
